We had Shelly come shoot our family reunion pictures a few years ago. She was amazing! Asked us exactly what kind of pictures we wanted since we had several different families there. She made sure that we got all the shots we wanted and then she also helped direct several other shots and groupings that she knew other customers had loved in the past and she was definitely right! She was so good at getting the shots quickly and working really well with all of the kids who ranged from toddlers to preteens at the time. She was able to coax smiles out of everbody and made it a really fun process! We were so happy with the pictures we got! Because of that experience, we have used her twice more for our own immediate family pictures and we have been so pleased every single time! We hired Shelly Vanderpool to take photographs of our family gathered in Branson for a family reunion. She represented herself as a professional photographer, however the photos that we ended up with were not anything close to professional. The photos were terribly overexposed and the colors were garish and unnatural. People in the photos have trees apparently growing from their heads, their fingers and feet are lopped off at weird locations and there are multiple other amateurish mistakes. This is not a complaint about "my arms look fat" or "my hips look huge" or things of that nature, but of poor quality photography skills and editing of the photos taken. The time and location were chosen by Shelly so there was the expection that this was an area/time of day that she was skilled at using to her best advantage. I have contacted Shelly and made efforts to resolve this to both of our satisfaction. She has been unwilling to try to resolve the situation and has chose to simply take our payment and walk away. Poor photography and extremely poor customer service after the fact. read more

We've used Shell Bell Photography twice. Once for our Christmas card and then for our engagement pictures. Both turned out perfect! The design of the Christmas card was exactly what I wanted. And the engagement pictures were beautiful. Taken outside. The backgrounds were so pretty - but the way she caught our expressions - her photographs caught our smiles and our eyes and you could see the happiness! We ordered prints in both black & white and in color and both turned out just the way we wanted. Couldn't recommend her more - wouldn't have changed a thing. read more
