Fridays at Costco are usually a hectic experience with the crowds. I had some business with the…read moreOptical department so came into the store early at 9:30, a perfect time, excellent service they took care of me right away. The store wasn't busy so I made my way around and picked up what I could remember because I forgot my list. I had one prescription to pick up, which was also no problem. In the meat department the chickens were fresh out of the oven so I grabbed two and picked up some thick pork chops and fresh cod.. I was on a roll I tried calling my wife to see what was on my list but no answer so I did my best. The store looked great. It was packed full of spring merchandise. Lots of plants, palms, flowers, and ground cover. As I made my way up to the front of the store. I couldn't believe the long checkout lines and it was only 10:45 when did they all get here? The hot dog lines were almost out the front door. All the Costco workers were busy, friendly and helpful as usual Great experience today except when I got home I'd forgot to buy my coffee. I'll be back

Continously run in to issues with this Costco and that has been ongoing over the last few years. My…read morebiggest issue about this particular Costco is the front end/register employees and the entry/exit employees. I understand that their interactions are probably some of the more mentally taxing when it comes to customer service, but I have been to many Costco locations and this is the ONLY one I ever seem to leave feeling frustrated with the tone, rigidness, and words exchanged. I will say that the sales floor employees (food samples, deli, and occasionally floaters on the floor or fillers) tend to be pretty nice and on the opposite end of the spectrum, I usually have more pleasant interactions at rosedale Costco on the sales floor vs other locations I rarely remember a sales floor interaction. The gas area used to be very difficult, long lines. They remodeled it last year to accommodate more traffic and put in the sensors. It is consistently a quick and positive experience now. Because of my multiple encounters with negativity at the registers here, I do tend to purposefully go to the Panama Costco where I have never had a single negative interaction with an employee. I definitely recommend that location over this one.

I now have to go over to Central Coast from Las Vegas every other month, and have made it a habit…read moreto stop at Costco in Bakersfield for the least expensive gasoline around. However on my last trip I saw a gas station called Gas War with a sign hinting that they were almost price-matching Costco. So I stopped in, and they were telling the truth. I pulled right up to the gas pump, used my credit card, and was in and out in 5 minutes instead of the 20 minutes at Costco. This is now on my regular stop on each trip. Highly recommended! I went to the location on Panama Lane and I did not take the time to go inside to check it out. There are other locations also, and on my next trip I will determine if another location is closer to my route. And now that I have read others' reviews about the food I will definitely take the time to go inside and sample for myself.

(please get these, and ask for the salsa at the counter) I come in every day, not only for their friendly encounters, but for the stocked fridge, they keep their fridge crispy cold. I have always seen their kitchen side, but never ordered. I ordered a burger last week, and it reminds me of an old school Diner. Think Carla's in Oildale, or your old school Pastrami Place. (we all have our favorites) Ordered again today, asked for extra, extra pickles and mustard (do NOT judge me) and extra seasoned fries..... BOY!!! They went above and beyond. The gal is so sweet who takes your order. They close at 1:00PM. BUT they open at 6:00AM for breakfast.

During the day it is pretty busy, during dark hours you see sketchy people (I don't mean to judge anyone) keep in mind, it is right across the street from a strip club . You might catch a stripper every now and then run across the street to get a pack of cigarettes or a energy drink lol. Overall this place is ok, good customer service, good gas station food, good coffee. My only complaint is parking. Everybody parks at a gas pump just to run inside to get snacks or coffee. Very limited parking spaces.

It was obvious when I arrived that they had diesel because the canopy was high enough for big rigs. They were also a Corner Store location, which means that the convenience store was good without being overly expensive. The diesel pumps didn't seem to have card readers, so I went inside the store to take care of the payment ahead of time. The person behind the counter was friendly. She mistook me for a truck driver. Had she seen my big rig, she would have been surprised. I had just stopped for air for my tires at a filling station that was a bit closer, and I spent $1.25 to do that. This station had free air and water. The pump worked fine and I was only charged for what I used, as she didn't set an amount ahead of pumping.
