I went here 3 times; it's where my girlfriend goes for laundry. each time I had issues. 1st time we went equipment was broken. it happens. 2nd time we went washer did not properly cycle. 3rd time I ran over after work to drop off a load of work clothes for them to do; they changed their hours with a hand written paper in the door. I walked in at 5:30(new sign on door says open till 6pm). the older woman was shaking her head no. I asked if there was a problem, she said, "well I close in 10 min". I apologized and said I was just there to drop a load off. She kept shaking her head no and had a very poor attitude; I told if it was that big of a problem, just never mind. Old lady at the front desk went out of her way to be as rude as possible. It was honestly exhausting to get something as simple as quarters and a plastic bag. The inside was dirty and cluttered, and there were more broken machines than working ones. Would have to recommend going literally anywhere else. read more

Older woman at the front desk my experience very hostile from the beginning! I told her I haven't been here before hence all the questions I had.. I said I would like to pay with card please. Then she demands me in a rushed tone for my credit card to pay, as she's still seated , body language indicating she wasn't ready that second either. I have detergent & two large bags of blankets in my hands, now I'm rushing to get my credit card out feeling stressed. They do take credit cards in exchange for quarters, which is great. She made asking any questions very uncomfortable and difficult for me, not aware of how she'd react. I spent time waiting inside. Many sighs went by. If I was obstructing her cart from moving along through the small space of the dryers, she pushed my dryer door open with her cart, and would continue to sigh loudly so I could hear her distress. Totally uncomfortable environment. I felt like my presence was unwanted. I tipped her a few dollars after buying my dryers. Amazing business. But for me, after my experience with this woman, I may recommend and reconsider another location if you want a better people, customer experience. read more

I came to wash my big comforters and although this laundry mat is around the corner from me, I had to drive 2 miles to another one because all the large load washers were OUT OF ORDER. I have used them in the past and their machines/dryers are out of order a lot. The maintenance is lacking and the washes and dryers are old. They do provide personal laundry service but I would want them doing my laundry. Someone needs to give it some TLC.. The owner operator should be embarrassed of the condition. read more

As a majority of other reviews state, the woman that operates the business a majority of the time is ruuuuuuuuuuuude. I live on the 3rd floor in an apartment complex so I bring smaller loads at a time and I wanted to just cash in $15 of quarters so I wouldn't have to again. Today was my first visit to wash and dry here. The employee was very helpful and available. The large capacity washer was fantastic and I wished that they had more than 1. I would have done more laundry if there was an additional large capacity washer. There are really big dryers so I probably could have coordinated 3 regular loads into 1 dyer but decided to return at another time to use the large capacity washer. There were only 4 of us doing laundry and every dryer that was working was being used. I would anticipate that the lack of working equipment would be a problem. Ultimately, having working equipment in a laundromat is how they make money, I would think. I will go back but only during low traffic times. It could be a really great place given the amenities nearby! Overall, I give it a cautious thumbs up if you can go on a weekday afternoon. read more

There are 2 older ladies that work there. (One is VERY VERY nice) one is VERY VERY RUDE. THE VERY RUDE ONE IS THE OLDER LADY OF THE 2. She legit won't speak to you upon arrival or exit, or put the change in your hand even if your hand is out, she gives dirty looks and the tone of her voice is demeaning if you ask her a question. My family and I live only 5 minutes from your location . We bought the house but the dryer stopped working couple months before we moved . So we decide to go to you location every week to use you dryers before you moved from one location to your new one that is right behind the old one. Well.. three weeks ago. My husband and my old kid were there and some woman asked them if they are gonna use only the dryer . They said yes . So your employee asked them for $3 dollars like Fee. He asked : why ? Since when .. but she didn't told us why.. they were hurry so he didn't pay attention to her and left . The week of holiday, it was me who went there so dry out clothes . She asked me the same , and I answered her the same : I'm gonna use only your dryer . She asked me for $4 dollars ( fee ) . I asked her why ? She said : it's the new rule of the business . I said ; you should right down in a paper so everyone can see it and take the decision to go there or not. So , I paid but I asked a paper so I have a proof that your employee is charging me for something even your never told your customers about it . Anyways , $3 doesn't make rich or poor . The point is this employee was so rude when I asked her for coins to dry my clothes . I didn't pay attention because she's older and I was in a hurry ( it was Christmas Eve ) But today , my husband was who went there to dry pie clothes .. it happens the same . Again , we don't care about the $3 fee . But it's still no paper where indicated the Fee . But the same employee was so rude again with him . He asked him to get coins . She literally, throw them to him on the counter . Then your machine took one of the coins and didn't give him the minutes of dry , so he told her that , and she said : I don't think so, those are working good but I'm gonna te give you one more coming but I'm gonna put it on the machine for you. So she did , and the machine took it again and didn't show the minutes . My husband is a person who never gonna day something to an old person . But I think , you should tell everyone about your fee and tell your employee to be more respectful and less mean . We are customers . She is not giving us anything free . I'm always on the hunt for a good laundromat when I need to wash my king-size comforter. This place needs some maintenance. Several machines were out of order. Of the 22 dryers, 4 were 'Out of Order.' Of the 12 standard washers, 3 were 'Out of Order.' They only have five commercial machines...three smaller ones and two larger ones. 1 of the larger ones was 'Out of Order.' Even the pop machine had an 'Out of Order' sign on it. This place needs some attention...a repairman to fix the machines and someone to do a deep cleaning. I'll probably go elsewhere next time. read more

Today this morning at 9:00am on 4/22/2022. An older woman was very unprofessional, Had rude customer service to me. She was nice to an older man right before me. As I patiently waited while they had a long conversation. Then once it was my turn to ask my questions and get assistance, her entire demeanor changed she wasn't smiling or kindly talking to me she instead greeted me with a "what's up" in a more bother tone. I said excuse me? She said it again like "whats up , what do you need"..... Not how can i help you or anything nice that normally people in a people business industry would say.... i told her i have a couple questions but nevermind. She said well bye and called someone on the phone. To my guess she probably does not like people of color there so my advise would be anyone of color to not go there and be disrespected. Today, I had a terrible experience with one of their employees. She was rude from the start and not willing to help at all. After not wanting to wait on me, I proceeded to a machine, equipped to wash queen sized comforters. The door was not working, so I asked for assistance. She came over and slammed the door (which never did close) and looked at me like I was stupid. The soap dispenser was filthy and I just decided to take my money elsewhere. As I was leaving, I told her that since she didnt want my business, I would take it somewhere else. She shrugged her shoulders and gave me a sarcastic look which I took to mean she didnt want me there. I will never enter this place again. Its worth it to travel farther or pay a little more. We have a washer and dryer at our rental but it's not very efficient. So I decided to go down the street to the coin laundromat to do all my laundry at once. I walked in and searched for some open washers, set my clothing down. I walked to the front desk and asked this old lady, "how are you doing today?" I don't know if she has had a bad day but she replies "I'm NOT, I'm about to walk out in 10 minutes". This wasn't like a typical tone of voice but this lady seemed to talk with the degree of voice that she was disgusted with anything that walks the earth. She was the rudest person I have ever encountered. I then said, "oh okay...., do you have a coin exchange machine somewhere that I could use?" I gave no change of normal tone. " she grumbles and says. "No we dont! That is me!!" I feel bad for her and how miserable she must be. So I said "well okay then I guess I am leaving" I grabbed my things and as I walk away she says that 'she'll get it for me in a minute'. Walking through the front door is sort of like passing through a portal into 1983. There are gumball machines just like the ones you remember from your childhood, the classic $.75 Pepsi pop machine (selling cans, not bottles), and yes - even a classic Ms. PacMan arcade console. Everything seems to be tinged yellow, the walls and machines alike. The bathroom has never been in full-working order during any of my three visits over the past month. There is a huge television that is constantly playing soaps or other bad shows, but don't go imagining a flatscreen, oh no. This baby is a Panasonic bulb television that will have you scratching your head wondering how society ever had furniture strong enough to support it. Having said all this, I really love places like this - places from my youth, oozing with character. They are disappearing. The people here are friendly as long as you are. Not all of the dryers dry like they should, and having timed them with my watch, I know that ten minutes on some do not represent the same ten minutes in my reality. Still, no complaints here, the experience is worth the extra quarter. read more

We took several comforters and rugs here to wash and dry since our appliances at home are not big enough to fit them. Their dryers burned one of our comforters to the point where it needs to be thrown away. They, conveniently, have a typed sign saying that they do not accept responsibility for anything damaged, so they refused to do anything about it. Had they kept up on the servicing of these machines, this wouldn't have happened. Shitty place, shitty service. If I could have given it zero stars I would have. read more

I just recently started coming to Shelby's coin laundry. I had never really been to a laundromat before so I was not sure what to expect. They have plenty of washers and dryers for all laundry. A regular washer is $2.50 a load which is kind of a lot because you can fit too much in there. For a family of four I typically have around 4 loads of laundry for the washers. That $2.50 gives you 26 minutes for the washers. For the dryers you can fit more clothes so usually one and a half washer full of clothes can easily be dried for 1$ in a dryer. You get 7 minutes for .25 which isn't bad! They also have small dryers. They have front load washers that are 5$ and are for bigger loads. Bedding, dog beds and bigger items MUST be washed in those. The atmosphere really isn't bad. There is a PacMan machine, a drink machine which gives cans of Coke rather than a bottle. There is a snack machine and candy machine as well! The only reason I gave this place 4/5 stars is because the staff isn't always the friendliest. They close at 9pm and I was there until around 8:30 and they made me feel like I needed to rush even though there was still plenty of time left. If you forget laundry detergent or fabric softener they have some for 1$ (the detergent is good for 1 load so I recommend bringing your own to save some money). read more

This place needs a deep cleaning. I know its just a laundromat, but it just feels dirty and the machines seem outdated. There are a couple of young ladies that work in there that are very nice. But there's also a guy that works in there that is over-zealous in letting you know which machine to use for what. Get some new equipment, and its not an issue. read more

My washer broke on Sat so I went in to Shelby's yesterday (Sunday) The girl working was great!! I had no idea as what to do since I have NOT BEEN IN A LAUNDROMAT since college.
