She listens to you, then listens to your body as she works it. Also, as is evident from the other reviews, she provides a relaxing and therapeutic atmosphere. +Strong - Don't be fooled with conventional sexist wisdom that only men can provide the strength needed to work you over. Sheril is armed with hands that could probably kill, but you softies out there, don't be discouraged. As she says, "I like to work just before the 'u' in 'ouch'". However one thing you should know if planning to come here, is that they regularly increase their rates - going from $110 to $118 to $125 per hour for massage services in less than the 18 months I've been coming here. So its not the price increases I have as much issue with (although the frequency seems extreme especially given the fact my insurance coverage hasn't increased in that time)... My main issue is the fact that they increase their prices with ZERO communication being sent out. So one month the price is one thing and then you come in for another scheduled appointment and suddenly they start charging you a higher rate without a word of mention. It wasn't until after I tapped my card for payment that I noticed the increase. In what world is it not standard practice to inform customers - especially if they have services booked - that the prices are increasing? A simple email would solve this problem but instead they just assume all is well and leave it to the admins at the front desk who have to deal with explaining it after the fact? Lucky for this place I like my current massage therapist - because their ethical business administration practices are seriously lacking.

If you're used to "traditional" Swedish or other massages, some of what Roxanne does will be unfamiliar and seem a bit strange. If you can trust that she knows what she's doing (which she does) and experience it, at the very least you will have tried something new but likely, you will feel the benefit. If you don't want those things however - just tell her! She listens well and constantly seeks education on new techniques and healing massage therapy approaches. She also checks in throughput the session to make sure the pressure and other aspects are comfortable and acceptable. Besides that she is kind and generous with her time and knowledge. There were several large groups chatting away and moving in unison, which made it really tough to find a spot in the sauna or cold plunge. The front desk also didn't adequately explain spa courtesy so people were not showering and rinsing prior to participating. I think it would also help to have attendants cleaning more frequently to prevent hair and other flatsom from building up in the shower, the floors, the cold plunge, etc.
