I was recomended by my hygienist to have it removed before cavities begin to form due to the difficulty of brushing the area so I did some research and looked for referrals from friends. I previously removed a wisdom tooth a few years ago but put off removing the other three as I didn't want to be stuck eating soft foods for another three weeks again. I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Dolman and that was when I knew Dr. Dolman was extremely knowledgeable and I could trust him with this procedure. Dr. Dolman is not pushy like a number of doctors are. Rather, he explains what would happen if you don't remove certain teeth and what would happen if you do. His explanations were clear and helped me prepare mentally for what I was about to go through. Doing any sort of dental work is usually pretty scary and pulling wisdom teeth is one of the scariest procedures for me due to the fears of dry sockets and things going wrong. However, Dr. Dolman is very experienced and goes above and beyond to make sure that his patients are safe, comfortable, and at ease before, during and after the procedure. Did I mention that during the procedure, I didn't feel a thing and was very relaxed? I didn't think that could be possible in a situation where someone would be yanking your teeth. What makes Dr. Dolman stand out is the experience post operation. I was provided a printout of what to expect for the next few weeks during recovery, what to eat and how often to change gauzes. In addition, Dr. Dolman gave me his number so I could text and call him if I had issues. He followed up periodically to check in and see how I was doing and answered questions I had very patiently. There were many moments where it was obvious the benefit from dealing with a specialist in implants - most recently the full mouth digital scan that led to a perfectly fitted crown. Years ago I had one implant done by my dentist who is excellent as a general dentist but clearly over his head when doing implants (it literally fell out several months later, with great pain, requiring a full do-over of the entire process). Plan to arrive early in case there are travel problems, which NYC is notorious for. The office has excellent free coffee and spring water, and comfortable sofa's.

A tooth that had a root canal about 3 years ago went south - hidden chamber, mouth too small to correct. Dr. Zagari took a same day appointment (I call at 10 am in pain and told his staff the endodontist is recommending extraction, he can't fix the tooth, staff said great, come in at 1pm, 2pm tooth out). No pain! Just had an implant put in and the staff is super professional and Dr. Zargari is tops. Great follow-up! The hubby had all his wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Swain and that went super well. This is a typical UES practice that doesn't take insurance but they will submit your claim to your carrier for reimbursement (to you). The staff is friendly and efficient. No complaints!
