Very deceptive business practices. I was under the impression that I was ordering directly from Wacoal. This place has purchased the domain wacoal.com. Wacoal-America.com is the true Wacoal website. I ordered on December 30. Have not received anything. Once I contacted them I was told the order would ship the beginning of this week. Here we are Friday, no shipping notification. They are now not responding to emails and never answer their phone. Beware shopping through them online. I guess I'll be disputing the charge on my credit card. read more

I'm not sure how this place is still in business. (I meant to write this review prior to Christmas, but life happens). I stepped in here after visiting the Olive Oil store next door. The owner, Sheila, had a lot to say about that. In regards to the gentlemen/the couple who own the store next door, I had to listen to Sheila call him all kinds of names and profanities. It was about 15 minutes of listening to her tell me about the "hell" it is being store neighbors with them. It was like listening to middle school drama. She also spent some time absolutely trashing all the people who are transplants to the area. Basically, if you're not native to the Carolinas or the South, this women doesn't like you and doesn't want you living here. Just a heads up to all the non-natives who consider spending their hard earned money at an established that freely and openly admitted that you're not welcome here and are the cause of all the area's problems. (I don't know if she told me all of that because she thought a fellow Carolinian would agree with her??) I knew I wasn't going to purchase anything (and that I'd never be back), but she tried to sell me a gift card before I left. It was more like an aggressive shoving a gift card at me an insisting that I'd want to come back. That whole exchange was weird, and she was a bit miffed when I headed out without buying a gift card. All this to say, this was such an awkward and unprofessional experience and encounter with the owner. The entire experience in the store went from bad to worse, and I've never heard a business owner say such awful things about *literally everyone* to someone she'd never met before. Sheila is probably the meanest business owner I've ever encountered. Likely a mean old lady all the time. I'm just saying, be careful supporting a store and owner who is so mean and hostile and very likely thinks you don't deserve to live here. Though I'm sure she tucks that bias away when she takes your money. All in all, I recommend visiting the Olive Oil store next door instead. That couple is very nice and they have a lot of nice things. I feel bad for them. It became obvious to me that they are the ones dealing with the neighbor from hell. read more

I went in and got fitted for 2 bras. When I got home I put them on and they we're so uncomfortable. I called Shelia back and told her since she's the one that fitted me I should be able to exchange them. She wouldn't let me exchange them I spent $200. I'll never go there again. read more

This place is awesome! I have been here a few times and the owner always takes her time to help me find the perfect size/fit, and it is so appreciated. They are the only store I have found that carries a wide variety of sizes, including large cups with small band-sizes. I've recommended this to other family members, and I definitely recommend it for anyone else who is searching for the right fit! read more

I was on my way to the pharmacy next door to Sheila's - had never been in the store before - Sheila and I started talking - she has very fancy and very beautiful lines but I happened to spot a "furry bear rug" under some stuff and fell in love with it. And then I found a hat (I'm a hat person) - so, I walked out with this beautiful rug for my bedroom, which my husband actually loves, and a new hat. Thank you Sheila - will definitely be back. Do not shop here. The way this place set up is business is deceptive. You think you are buying directly from the Wacoal, or Chantelle. I can assure you that you are not, even the emails reads wacoalbras. Terrible customer service, take your money and then don't send you anything for weeks. Then to get a refund, forget it. I send my order back Fedex and they claimed to never having received it. Obviously that was easy to disprove. I was thinking I was buying direct from Wacoal who has free shipping/returns. I am surprised that the big companies do not go after them for trademark infringement as they definitely create customer confusion by using the names. They did refund my money, but I will never shop here. Save yourself the headache and make your purchases somewhere else. read more

Absolutely the worst! It's unbelievable how rude the owner is! I was looking for something special for underneath my wedding dress as soon as I walked in the owner said I'm wasting my time and hers because NO ONE and I mean NO ONE will have a STRAPLESS bra to hold me up because I'm a DD and I should RETURN MY WEDDING DRESS I lefted crying! I placed an order on July 3 and after two weeks of no word, I emailed the customer service listed at the bottom of the order confirmation. No response at all. I called today and got a voicemail for Sheila's Sheer Elegance. That was pretty sneaky, using wacoal.com for their store! Downright deceptive. I thought I was dealing directly with the Wacoal company. I still have not gotten a call back but I checked my credit card and a charge was posted today after I made that call. I also just received an email saying the items have been mailed. Lucky for them because I was about to call my credit card and say not to allow the charge. I wonder if the Wacoal company knows about this scam. read more

The last time I went anywhere for a bra fitting, it took ages to get fitted and walk out with a purchase. At Sheila's, I was fitted, and walked out with 3 bras in probably about 15 minutes. She knows her stuff, and she seemed almost like she knew exactly what I was looking for. She couldn't have made it any easier for me. read more

Pulled up in front of the shop on Friday. My guess is she was looking out the window. Once she saw that I was black and assumed that I was coming into the shop, she rushed outside to bring the open sing inside as if they were closed. It was 5:10 and they don't close until 6. She did not want a black woman in the store. I was going into Carolina Oil, definitely not in that store to begin with. But you can't get more racist than that. No wonder they only have one star. This company has not refunded the money for a bra that I purchased and was charged for on my American Express card. I returned the bra on November 10 and have been in contact with them by email on several occasions. I have yet to how to have a response from them. The bra cost $62; although I removed the tags to try it on, I returned all of the tags. I am very frustrated with this company. read more

I am giving one star because the system won't allow zero. I agree with all the other reviews. If you want to deal with a vendor that never answers the phone, never returns voice mail, takes days to reply to emails, then replies with a stock answer that is not relevant, then this is your store. If you want your credit card charged immediately, but to wait weeks and weeks for your merchandise, then this is your store. If you want a reputable Wacoal provider, then order from Wacoal directly. I did, after this fiasco, and my order came the next day. We are into week three with Sheila, and nothing. I don't know if I will keep my order, whenever it arrives, but I can assure you that if I am ignored or given the run around on a return, I will be filing a claim with my credit card company. read more

This place is ridiculous. I mistakenly believed their website was a Chantelle store. I saw a pending charge on my credit card, but received no communication. This was June 4th. I wrote them and told them to cancel the order. They never responded. I wrote again and asked for confirmation. Nothing. Almost a month later, I received a receipt and notice of shipment from a completely different email and company name. This place should be investigated. This business uses a very deceptive website name to gain business. I specifically google searched for Wacoal bras and the website www.walcoalbras.com came up so I assumed (yes, I know what assuming does) this was the website I needed. I placed my order over two weeks ago and had not heard anything. After some research, I discovered the website was connected to Sheila's Sheer Elegance instead of the actual Wacoal manufacturer so I called the shop number seeking information about my order. When I stated that my order had been placed over two weeks ago, I was met with the response that orders were taking anywhere from 2.5-3 weeks to process to which I replied, "your email states 7-10 days which I assume meant business days. It's been that long and if that's actually the case, you need to update your processing and shipment information because it is inaccurate." I placed an order on December 14th and January 15th still no package. I tried numerous times to call them and contact them through pay pal... to no avail. First off, I have to say that the location of this shop is the only thing going for it. Upon entering, my nose was assaulted by the noxious odor of several types of scented candles mixed together. A little further in, before I was even greeted by any employee, I hear someone ranting and raving about something. Thinking it was a disgruntled customer, I continued in and discovered that the woman behind the register was responsible for the rant. I don't do drama, and told her as much - I just wanted some special lingerie for an anniversary gift for my husband. I was confronted with escalating vitriol and negativity. I have never been confronted the way I was by a business owner. It seems like her only purpose for that day was to bad mouth her competition. After waiting and waiting and waiting for my shipment confirmation (well past the stated number of business days for shipping) I finally contacted the shop via email and other social media platforms to attempt to cancel my order. After waiting a few days for a response I finally received a message that my order was processed and going to be shipped (after I had requested it cancelled). After receiving my package I immediately contacted via email and other methods to attempt to return my order to which I never received a response at all. I'm frustrated by the poor customer service, lack of communication, and the fact that I'm now out a good deal of money on unopened items I can't return. Will never order from or recommend this business to anyone. Buy from them If you are sure that your will not return the items in any case. Otherwise please don't buy anything from them. They are scam. They don't give you their policies and on their website the return policy is hidden under shipping info. which you will not normally find and when you return their stuff they charge restocking fee which is not mentioned even on receipts. Thank God while returning back their product I added tracking at USPS. They didn't respond for almost two weeks of receiving the returned items. Then I called them and didn't get a nice response, the lady suggested to send an email which was fine, I sent them email and tracking number then they replied. At the end they refunded but subtracted the restocking fee which is not mentioned even on their receipts. We emailed them that restocking fee is not mentioned anywhere on the receipt as well as on the website, then they pointed to Shipping Info link of their website. I don't understand why they are not displaying this restocking fee on receipt and no return policy on their website but under Shipping info and it seems they are purposefully hiding it. read more
