I made it clear it was my first time shopping for wedding dresses and brought along several pictures of styles I had in mind. I was assisted by two women, including one of the owners, Taylor. While the shop does have some beautiful dresses, the selection was smaller than I expected, and while the prices were affordable, the materials felt less cohesive compared to other stores I've visited. I found myself stressed during the appointment because if I liked one aspect of a dress but disliked another, there was no follow-up or suggestions for alternatives. I thought about leaving a review for some time, but after visiting another bridal store, I realized my experience at Love Me Some Lace was far from ideal. I've always loved lace and silk, both together and separately, but after trying on two silk dresses that didn't suit me, Taylor remarked, "Well maybe you just don't like silk." It felt unprofessional, especially since I hadn't disliked the fabric itself--just those particular dresses. Spoiler: I do like silk, and I'll be purchasing a silk dress for my wedding. I understand that finding the right style takes time, but isn't that the purpose of a bridal appointment? To explore options, have fun, and not feel judged? At one point, another bride entered, and when Taylor learned it was her second shopping trip, she said, "Oh good! Then you'll know what styles you like." My friend and I exchanged looks, as it seemed like a comment directed at me, implying I should have known my preferences by then. I might be overthinking, but isn't the whole point to discover what you like? Throughout the appointment, there were other subtle remarks that my friend noticed, though I missed them at the time. I don't think these remarks were intentional, but it still left me feeling hurt. While I recognize that everyone has different approaches, my experience left me feeling dismissed rather than supported. However, I did learn a lot while I was there. I also got good advice and personally got more of an understanding on what I liked and wanted.

They listened to exactly to what I did or didn't prefer about the dresses and catered my "fashion show" to my likes! They have the cutest dresses, classic, flashy, bows, veils, gloves, sleeves (OMG) - I could go on forever! The prices are so reasonable for the beading, quality, and experience! Hopefully I wont have to ever (LOL) -- but I'd go there again and again! Thank you!

They have great dressing rooms, very large and plenty of room to work in without feeling cramped or having to walk out into a public place if you aren't comfortable doing so. The prices are very economical. The Downs: I wasn't impressed with their customer service. Especially in the wedding department I would have expected a little more attention and service. It wasn't bad, per se but I just felt as though when I came in for alterations and fittings that I was rushed and wasn't really being focused on as I should. Overall, I would purchase from them again and they would be one of my first stops.

The venue team was fantastic with communication and super helpful in guiding us on where to park and unload. They have a designated vendor parking spot, which made unloading a breeze--a huge plus! Trash disposal was also quick and easy--we simply tied up the bags and placed them in the designated spot behind the building. Parking during the event was smooth with no issues at all. Most importantly, the venue staff were beyond kind and helpful, making the entire process seamless and enjoyable! And a special shoutout to Laura, the owner--she is the absolute sweetest! We can't wait to cater again at The Barn at Poplar Springs soon.

We had a baby shower here and it was just gorgeous. There was an area outside where we set up cornhole and kicked a soccer ball around. There was a cute swing chair near the parking lot, and speaking with Mrs.Orndoff I learned there is a bridal cottage close by. Mr and Mrs Orndoff are amazing people and will take care of you! The Barn books very quickly, and rightfully so, it's a lovely place with beautiful just as beautiful as a vibe as it's view.

We attended a Candlelight Concert at Indigo Hall on Feb. 14, 2026. Loud bass music from the bar…read morenext door played throughout the event and made it virtually impossible to hear the string quartet we went to hear. Other attendees looked at each other and shook their heads in frustration and disappointment as the quartet played though the noise. It was terrible. Not a happy Valentine's Day! An usher at the hall said she couldn't do anything about it, and one of the musicians (after they finished playing) shrugged it off. They got paid and the venue got paid. We lost over $100 on tickets to the event that was supposed to be "magical."
