Our appointment was for 11 am but at 1030, Amanda text us that Bella was stuck on a GO Bus and wouldn't be able to start until 1130. Normally that's not a big issue, but I was dealing with really tight timelines because of nap times and attention spans, so I couldn't just burn 30 more minutes than expected. I explained this to Amanda, and she said if I could get there soon, she would cut my daughter's hair. The salon opens at 11, but Amanda started with us at 1045. The level of customer service was unreal. Friendly, accommodating, apologetic and I got what I came there for - a sophisticated haircut for my daughter that wasn't just a "who cares you're a kid" cut. The salon is beautiful inside, the sparkling lights about the hair washing station was a nice touch. At the very end, Bella did show up and she seemed nice as well, but Amanda really came through for us. We will be back!!

I think he rushed it because the customer next to me was just getting her hair rinsed out after colouring and/or treatment so he was going back to servicing her when I was done with my cut. Having been a client at Sheila's for close to 13 years now, I felt compelled to write about my positive experiences there. I have found the staff to be very friendly, professional and sensitive to your wants and needs. They are always so kind and courteous and make everyone feel welcome with tea, coffee and personal warmth. In terms of professional hygiene with regards to the care and maintenance of combs, brushes and equipment, they hold to the highest standards of cleanliness. The salon itself has gone through several upgrades over the years as well, with consistent renewal of equipment and aesthetic decor. It stands to reason that a business giving excellent services would remain in the community for nearly 30 years as it has. If it did not, it would have closed down a long time ago. The staff seems to make every effort to remain current and at the cutting edge of style through regular trips to hair shows in both New York and Florida and they often speak with renewed enthusiasm when they return with fresh ideas and new techniques. To me, that is a strong indication that they take pride in their work and want to bring the best and latest to their clientele. Lastly, any review whether it be of a movie or a restaurant is a personal perspective. My suggestion to anyone is to go and check it out for yourself and you be the judge. I think you will find that what I have said is the gospel truth and you will have found yourself a gem of a salon! read more

I just had my hair washed, cut and styled at Sheila's about a half hour ago. I always look forward to my visit there. I have been seeing Sheila herself for the last 4 years and have always had a perfect experience! Her shop is very clean and her staff are ever so friendly and accommodating. I can be picky at times about my hair, and I always leave happy! I always look forward to my visit especially to learn about the many hair shows that she travels all over North America to. She likes to keep her staff (and my hair) up-to-date with all the latest styles and trends. I would recommend her shop ten times over to anyone (man or woman) looking to update their style, or just to run in for a quick haircut! She also styled our hair the day of my wedding, and I must add that my out of town Mom looked absolutely beautiful!!! Keep up the great work Sheila and team! read more

I started as a walk-in, but found that Farzana and Sheila were so knowledgeable about proper hair cut and hair care that I kept going back. I am happy when they recommend products that are good for my hair, and though I don't always purchase them right away, I keep the products in mind for a future purchase.
