I have been filing my taxes with this company for a long time, trusted and affordable.

I have been going to this very nice tax office for years. They reliable, honest and very reasonable. As long as they are doing taxes I will see them every year as long as I'm getting a pay check read more

They have been doing my taxes for the last eight years really professional pretty quick when you have an appointment and great customer service. Plus they go out of their way to make sure everything is done properly. read more

The tax/real estate office is not located in the Fox Hills/Westfield Culver City Mall for 2021. You can visit the website www.shetax.com for appointment times or call (310) 348-9555 in the original location in Inglewood. They are not affiliated with any tax service in the Westfield Mall. The prices are still the same as last year. read more

Make sure that you double check your tax return returns as over the last 7+ yeRs I have now caught 2 errors done by this company. This year, I presume Sheila has built her client base up so large that her clients has OUTGROWN her because, her professionalism has surprisingly went out the door! While most years, I would of rated this company a 4 star...I have a totally sadden & disappointing experience for 2016. Why? Well, have a seat...this is about to be a wordy review. Feb 3. 2016 I emailed Shetax.com all documents for predation of my tax return can begin. Feb 4 Upon response asking have I paid via PayPal, I submitted my payment in order for preparation to get started (apparently, she was not going to start on preparing my tax return until payment was received FIRST). Ok so Payne t submitted via PayPal in the amount of $120 (for Long Form Tax Filing). Now due to me being out of stay I emailed all documents submitted & ALL communication is normally & UNFORTUNATELY...via email. Which sadly there was a lot of going back & forth in emails. With this being said, 11Feb Sheila finally emailed my draft of my 2016 Tax Return and due to all the detailed information I provided, me itemizing and etc...I was really surprised that I owed $40 to IRS (as I have never in any of my years - owed) & was barely getting a return back. Needless to say I had concerns so, I called 6times and phone would either be busy OR I could NEVER reach her. Instead, someone would answer & suggest that I email her my questions. So after a few days of her not responding to my emails that said CALL ME & me get a reply that says "Not able to call but you can e-mail any questions" Disappointed that I could not verbally converse w/her I did as suggested & emailed my (2) Items I noticed that needed to be revised & (8) concerns/questions... I was already stoke upon her 1st reply but, when I received the 2nd reply from Sheila which read "Sorry, I do not understand your question, if you need consultation I can refer you to the tax doctor, Kevin at 323-292-5407 or taxdoc4u@gmail.com" I was freaking levied & burning up because now, it's Feb 18th. Not only had I paid her for services 16 priori but, she was not concerned & professional enough to see where the error was, nor courteous to address my issues for MY MONEY! I was beyond pissed but, maintained my composure throughout the ordeal...I mean...well, what else could I do. She's 1917mikes away & I can't even get her on the phone to rectify my tax concerns. Anywho...she sent me The Tax Doctors contact info, I was afraid to contact him because, again I'm in Georgia & I didn't even know him ( KEVIN). After thinking in it...the next day I called Kevin & gave him the run down on the 1/2 ass & unprofessional service Sheila was given & addressed my concerns...he was 1) puzzled WHY Sheila was utilizing all California tax return Doc's instead of Georgia Which is where I reside 2) he discovered other errors which she had made as well. Turns out, Kevin with THE TAX DOCTOR redrafted my return & I actually was getting money return instead of owing as Sheila had drafted. Needless, to say I sent an professional email requesting a refund. The most quickest response, I received was in 1-2hrs (verses days/weeks) her replying saying refund issued. After being referred to The Tax Doctor by Sheila Mc Daniel who had been doing my taxes for more than 7years now (because she did not have time to call me to answer my concerns & discuss the draft of the tax document...) I will NO LONGER be utilizing her Sheila Mc Daniels tax services due to her surprisingly unprofessionalism which I experienced this year! After being referred to Kevin because, this is my last time seeking her services. 1) Kevin was reachable via phone & I was able to speak to him the very SAME DAY 2) I called & emailed him my concerns which I previously addressed to Sheila McDaniel that where disregarded, ignored and I was pushed off. Kevin came up with a totally different tax return amount than on my previous draft from Sheila & better yet...I owed NOTHING to IRS!!!! Instead I will be utilizing THE TAX DOCTOR moving forward for the personable experience I had with him. read more

She's now moved to the Westfield Mall in Culver City at suite 1151 across from Finishline..

Our family's been getting our taxes done by the McDaniel's family for a very long time. I always recommend them to all my family and friends! I only trust the McDaniel's family with my taxes! Currently the family is temporarily working out of the Westfield mall in Culver City (Fox Hills Mall), on the first floor next to Claire's. I recommend parking in the first floor parking structure near letter Q or R. The office is located to your immediate left when you walk in the entrance. read more

Sheila McDaniel - One of the many cute elephants sheila has in her office - Tax Services Near Me - Inglewood, California

Charged us 120 dollars for what I thought was pretty simple taxes. The worst part about it was that we had to stand the whole time and we're giving out personal info for everyone in the office to hear since it was more of a shopping store set up than an office read more

Phenomenal prices & super speedy! The McDaniel's have been handling my taxes since 2009. I am a loyal customer & do not see myself going anywhere else. I first discovered this gem by word of mouth from an old friend & have since recruited my parents to use their services. This place does the job right & you can't beat their prices. I never had issues scheduling in-person appointments but in the past few years (& especially now with Covid) I very much appreciate the ease of filing online with minimal email exchanges. read more

I usually go to H&R block for taxes but when i found that they were going to charge me $150++ to do my taxes this year because it wasn't just a simple tax I looked to get them done somewhere else. My coworker referred me here and I'm glad she did because I am really happy with the service. I got lucky and walked in on a good day and had about a 10 minute wait. I gave her the paperwork and she told me it was going to be $80 which was sooo much cheaper than other places. She gave me advice on what things I could report to get a better tax return and after that she handled everything smoothly and I got a better tax return than I expected! It's a small office but I liked the ambiance of their waiting room. I will definitely be going there next year! A simple tax return was advertised as $20 on the front desk so if anyone still needs their taxes done this year go do them with Sheila now! read more

I love this place!!!! $20 taxes for electronic filing is a winner. She has been in business for over 40 years and charged $10 in the past! I've been here since I've had a job! read more

After doing my taxes for years, a coworker convinced me to try this place. Well, before I went I did my own taxes on paper just to see how good they were. To see if their numbers meet my numbers. Well, I walked away with a bigger refund than I anticipated! I also have to say that when I arrived in the office (which is really small), I was kind of bummed that the line was so long. But it moved pretty quickly and the whole process was done in minutes. So much better than going to H&R block! I am definitely going back this year! No stress, only $20 and good speedy service. This place is a gem! read more

Okay so I've been getting my taxes done at H&R Block for years, ever since I was a teenager, and after today's visit at this office I'm pretty confident I will not be returning to H&R Block. This office is so awesome! They only charge $20 for short form and $50 for a long form. And my taxes are done in about 20 minutes for a short form. When I owned a business, I paid over $400 to have H&R Block file my taxes, not to mention the 2-3 hours I use to spend watching them type in information. Straight ridiculous! This place is legit too! Not shaddy at all! Last year I just had a simple 1040 done at H&R Block and they charged me $120. Never again! The customer service at Sheila's is awesome, the price is awesome, and your time spent in the office is very minimal! read more

Some people told me to think twice before going expecially since it only cost $20, but after speaking with them about their fee. I'm feeling much better about my decision. It's good to know that they don't take money that we've worked hard for and they believe that we come first. It's a small office, but very peaceful and they are truly sweethearts. They make sure you cross you're T's and dot you're I's and it was a pleasure. A fee just to file only sounds like a winner to me. read more

DO NOT FILE WITH THIS COMPANY STOLE MY MONEY I am disgusted. I have been a customer of this tax company for almost 10 years, my grandfather filed taxes with her for over 30 years plus. I have received the worst customer service today than I have ever received in my life. After I let Sheila know I was not satisfied with my services this year, due to her having the incorrect address on my forms as well as an insufficient amount of refund & not responding to my email which has now been 5 days ago. Sheila had gotten extremely disrespectful stating that I did this last year and she was not refunding me any of my money even though she did my taxes inadequately. She lied blatantly on me and to my face, because I actually did file taxes with her last year and many years before that with no problem other than her adjusting my address ONCE AGAIN. Sheila had gotten very defensive when I stated all facts, getting as disrespectful as hanging up in my face multiple times as well as having her workers lie for her and act like she's not there 2 minutes later. I would like to remind you, I come from generations of filing with her & as a loyal customer. I AM DISGUSTED with her customer service, demonstration as a leader, and business owner. read more

I have been a client of Ms. McDaniel for 8+ years. In the past I would have given her a rating of 4 stars. However professionalism doesn't seem to no longer be of importance. My experience with her these past weeks has been nothing short of upsetting and disrespectful. After deciding to sell my rental property, on Jan. 31 I emailed Ms. McDaniel a request for 2017 tax organizers as well as a document to be completed for tax withholding purposes on the rental, a form which is normally completed by the seller's tax consultant. I was sent the organizer but no response to the tax withholding form. I emailed her a second time requesting her services, thinking that maybe she misread the first email. After a third email, I realized she had no desire to respond or be accommodating. I begin to give her the benefit of the doubt, that maybe she was overwhelmed with everything else and hadn't had time to respond. However, nine days later, I have yet to hear from her and have determined that I'm being totally ignored which I find unacceptable and disrespectful. Obviously she has no concern for my needs. Failure to have the form completed in a timely manner could have resulted in a great loss in proceeds. Because of her lack of professionalism I, along with my eleven friends and family, have vowed to never return. Our support would be much appreciated somewhere else. I am currently getting help from someone who actually cares. read more

First off i would like to make everyone aware of the incompetence of these people who work here. I would NEVER go here AGAIN to have my taxes done. They are not knowledgeable individuals at all. I had them prepare and file my 2011 tax returns and come to find out after receiving a letter from the IRS - that they lied on my 2011 tax returns. They knew my AGE and they went ahead and used an EXCEPTION CODE which stated i had reached age 55. I am 30 years old and at the time i was 29. They CLEARLY knew i was not age 55 when they prepared and filed my 2011 taxes. After reaching Calvin McDaniel by phone he HUNG UP on me. Very unprofessional. After reaching Sheila McDaniel via phone she emailed me copies of my 2011 tax returns, THEN TURNED AROUND and AMENDS my tax returns WITHOUT MY PERMISSION to do so. Which in turn is very unacceptable. I would never recommend this office to anyone, and if you're in the market to have your taxes prepared PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE else where the staff is knowledgeable and knows what they are doing and what they are talking about. ALSO JUST AN FYI...the "positive" reviews that they may have, they can PAY people to write these "positive" reviews so please don't go off of these POSITIVE reviews at ALL. read more

My parents have been coming here for around 20 years. When I graduated college and started working, my father advised me to come here but I didn't listen and went to H&R Block. I've even referred a few friends who are all more than satisfied with the service. I can't see myself ever going elsewhere. read more

ive been going here first with my mom for yearssssss! then a couple years back, i started coming here by myself and even referred my boyfriend to come with me and i love their friendliness and corky-ness of their office. im planning to go here this year again and i advise to make an appt! the wait isnt so bad but during those busy tax season times its that time to do it! love the family that works here! i usually pay $20 but i know its different depending when in the tax season you go. read more

I've been coming here for the past few years to file my taxes. I had previously been going to H&R and paying $200 to $300 for a simple short form. I was referred here by some friends at work and I'm so glad I came. They accept walk ins but it's a bit of a wait. The appointment process is super easy and either way they get you in and out. Everyone is super friendly and personable. They show me the details and boom! Finished! I have my refunds within a few weeks. No problems at all. In regards to the "issues" that others have had, it is NOT the responsibility of the tax office to have your paperwork and information in order. They literally just input the info on your tax forms into the system. If you have questions regarding the info on your forms, YOU need to ask. End of rant! But seriously, this is a family run business that has it together. Come see them! read more

So long H&R Block!!! Ive been paying $250 on average with H&R Block and they're criminals. Went to this place because of yelp and did a walk-in.
