Absurd. There are so few antiques here but the ones they do have are so obscenely overpriced that it isn't even worth thinking about. You can save your time and go to Hobby Lobby or even Dollar General (in some cases) and find the exact same things for 1/3 of the price but the exact same quality of "boutique" items. The majority of booth owners are either living under the delusion of "I know what I've got" or know that rich white women of the area will pay whatever for the mass produced garbage that they markup and slap into their booth. I came across so many Temu prints thrown into frames and jacked up 300%. Insanity. Save your time. Save your money. read more

Recommend: Certainly. #3 Star review for Sheffield Mall // #5 Star review for the British Tea Room Stopped in to browse for some antique cast iron; blown over by the size, scope and something else; a British Tea Room (restaurant/cafe!!) While the Antique mall is spacious, filled in every corner, it's more of a glorified 'Kohls', repurposed furniture, with a smidgen of Hobby Lobby splashed in there and just a few antiques here and there; if not more mid-century. Not really what I would call an 'antique' mall per se... Not a negative, just not the normal stereotype of an 'antique' mall IMO, most would be are aware of. The restaurant is normally flooded with patrons but I visited on July the 4th and to my surprise, the British Tea Room was really the hit for me. The 'store' was extremely nice, large and wide aisles, but the Tea Room was the win. The owners ARE from Britain, (a husband and wife team) and are an absolute CHARM to speak with! Their food, tea and coffee is wonderful and the general, social interfaces here meeting new people does remind me of a European 'indoor' cafe. Please come check this place out and sit for some Tea!! read more

This place is massive!!!! I try to run through places hunting what correct but it's difficult to move fast here due to the size of this place. It's a fantastic one time through "check it off your bucket list" type deal. And while it's the closest antique store to my house, I won't be coming back. I was asked 3 times by the same guy if I was finding everything alright and on the third time I said yes and he said we don't have what you collect and I said yes, I see a lot of what I collect but it's very expensive. He pointed to the 15% off and 20% off signs and asked if I saw them. I said yep I did. I'm not sure if he was following me to make sure I don't steal (I don't carry a handbag so I would have very few options for concealing stolen goods) but this place made me uncomfortable. I don't fit the mould of their average client. I look young and I don't look stuffy and rich. While writing this review I did find one piece that I could but live without until I felt the bottom and it has a huge chip. Yep, not coming back!! read more

We found some uranium glass and art work to bring home with us!it is so big with so many different vendors that I could imagine spending hours here walking through the numerous vendors new and old. I purchased a crystal item from a locked case. A salesperson got it from the case for me, took it to the counter, wrapped it, and rang me up. When I unwrapped the item at home, I noticed that the crystal was chipped. (I didn't notice this in the store because it was above my eye level in the case.) I called to see if I could exchange and was told "no." The manager suggested that I chipped the item after leaving. My first and last time to visit this store. read more

BUYER BEWARE! More and more vendors are selling faux, antique-looking pieces that are MADE IN CHINA, but with prices marked high as if they were real antiques. My mom and I had been shopping here for years as there are some interesting items--but it seems to be going downhill. She recently bought a lantern there, but when I was helping her unload it at her house, I noticed the small sticker on the bottom that showed it was "Made in China" on 05/21. I contacted the store, bringing this to their attention and asking if she could return it since that's not right at an "Antiques Mall". They didn't even have the decency to acknowledge/respond. I guess they don't care about their long-term reputation, any dishonest vendors, or the satisfaction of customers. Still wanting to believe in/trust the place, my mom later went back and bought a small "wood" chest that also looks antique. When I came over to unload it, it was light as a feather. I said, "Not again!" Sure enough, MADE IN CHINA. We will definitely not be returning to shop here while also warning all those who we used to recommend this place to about the dishonest vendors and the uncaring staff/management. You can get such stuff at AtHome/Amazon where there's no effort to hide its true manufacture while being priced accordingly--not that you'd want to since the point was to buy antiques and support local dealers. But so much for supporting this local business--such a deceitful sales tactic with nary a care at Sheffield is simply unsupportable. What a shame. An increasing number of unrestricted bad apples ruining it for the rest. But it shouldn't be left solely to the customers to have to shop with an ever-more distrustful eye at such a local place. This is probably the best antique mall in Tennessee and the largest. My wife and I travel quite a bit. They don't carry junk, just great décor for your home or office. They have been around for many years. This is also a place to just go and burn time on those boring days! I highly highly highly recommend Sheffield Antique Mall. Most of what is in here is over priced. People were selling silver coins for about 35% over spot price and got angry when asked about it. Most items aren't antiques but modern items refinished in antique styles then priced high. You can find the exact same items on Amazon so I wonder how original some of these items really are. This is my favorite antique store in the area and I love browsing the isles for little treasures and rare finds. The place is gigantic - with over 300 dealers, all housed in about 70,000 square feet. And there is such variety! Upscale furniture, beautifully restored antiques, jewelry, old linens and lace, toys, collectibles, silver, paintings and all sorts of home decor. It's fascinating just meandering through the isles. But it can get a little overwhelming and you can really spend a lot of time in there. One nice things is the cafe in the back. It's called Patty Cakes and it's decked out to look like an indoor patio cafe. Very cute. Also worth mentioning - A few times a year they have open houses in the evening with complimentary wine and appetizers. It's a lot of fun and usually well attended. I hate the drive from Midtown but this place makes me all squishy inside. Twice I've been there and I've still not made my way through it from right-to-left. Some of the prices leave me feeling like someone was drinking while writing out the price tags but by-and-large it's a great place to find a neat,unique piece. Especially as I've decided to start an Ugly Painting Collection. Those known to enjoy similar places will understand. The only finger-in-the-eye: the sign on the street advertises an Italian cafe inside. Great! Now I don't have to leave if I need to rest (this place is so large, you're thankful for the break) Lie! You get inside to find the cafe is....coming soon. Rats! When it's time to get something to eat/drink and you're heading back on the 385 W make a wide circle away from Logan's - please note my earlier mention.....right next door to the b/s Logan's TGI-Friday's has a yummy strawberry shortcake-like dessert.....better service, too if you're worn out from dragging a cart (!) through Sheffield's & you don't want to think about where to eat you just want someone to put a plate in front of your face. read more

This antiques store is set in a massive, warehouse-sized building off of Poplar. On my visit, they had a pretty nice selection of antique jewelry. In additional to dining room sets, china cabinets, and mirrors, I found newer books, collectors' items like Peanuts glasses, and a record player. I spotted a few nice paintings, and was considering a pretty, albeit overpriced, used Jones New York holiday sweater for $60, but I figured that I'd find something new at that price. read more

I am obsessed with this antique mall. It is HUGE and full of amazing finds. If I am ever in Collierville, I am most likely wandering the halls of Sheffield's wasting time and spending money. It is a huge warehouse of antiques and custom made crafts. It can be a little overwhelming and if you don't have a lot of time to waste, then stay away! I spent 5 hours the last time I was in here. I'm a Sheffield fan - this place is huge and there is so much stuff to look at. Whether you're an antiquer, a thrift shopper, or just someone looking for furniture on a budget, there's something for just about everyone here. I can't imagine that you could take an in-depth look in every booth in one trip. I refer to myself as a "speed antiquer" and strolling through fairly quickly, it still can take me a couple hours if I go through all the aisles. I've seen all kinds of things here, from 1700s furniture, to swords, to 1800s tools, to classic radios (a personal favorite), to a 3-foot tall Mike Miller bobblehead. I go roughly once a month and I always see new and interesting things. There is some really cool, large, mainly Memphis-themed metal art back in one corner of the antique mall - Sun Studios signs, Stax Records signs, etc., as well as Shell gas signs, etc. I think it would look tremendous in a loft apartment with exposed brick. There is a restaurant in the back of the antique mall, but I honestly know nothing about it. The one minor complaint I have, which is the same with pretty much every large antique mall I've ever been to, is that there are a fair number of booths selling "antiques" from Hobby Lobby or similar replica makers, often for more than you'd pay retail at the original store. That's more about the seller than the mall though, obviously. All in all, Sheffield is the biggest and best mall in the area IMO, and well worth a visit - just plan to spend some time. read more

This antique mall is sprawling and huge. One could get lost there and it seems rather dimly lit and highly unorganized. While there is a huge selection and it seems that things are for the most part clean and maintained, it was hard to find people who worked there to ask questions or get help. Business works by the vendors leaving their stuff in their little cordoned space with a list of prices on the item and you pick it up or remember the number and take it to the front desk-ish area for purchase. It seems that quite a few vendors have "sales" going on, so you could potentially find a good deal there. Most of the items I found to be somewhat overpriced even for antiques. There didn't appear to be too much business/people going on.about when I was there and I was a little paranoid as I was 1) walking around alone 2) it was a big dimly lit place 3) I thought someone was following me as I kept running into the same person 5x in a space the size of a small football field, and there was a lot of things to see/distract a person. All in all, a great variety, though overpriced, but with vendor specific sales, it makes it more worthwhile. Haven't tried the restaurant, perhaps sometime. read more

I rarely go out to Collierville, but when I do, I like to stop at Sheffield Antiques Mall. It is huge! The last time I was here, I spent over an hour going through the aisles and looking at the different booths. However, I've noticed a lot of things aren't actually vintage or antiques. There are a lot of crafty-type, etsy-esque things, which I like. But some things are just passed off as 'vintage' with a ridiculous price tag. For example, a painting I own (and bought at Garden Ridge for $10) was marked $60!! What?! My advice, be careful when purchasing. The (newly?) expanded outdoor section is cool. Lots of lawn and garden items, outdoor furniture. Be on the lookout for the turn into the parking lot if you're coming from Germantown. I miss it every time and have to turn around! A good place to go if you have an afternoon to kill time. read more

The reason is the people who own the booths seem to never research their items. Before I purchase anything antique I first look online to see what the going rate is. As a girl who grew up in Collierville, I have been going to Sheffield's for many years. I have always been a lover of antiques and thoroughly enjoy antique shopping. Growing up my mom and I would go to Sheffields and spend HOURS looking through every aisle. I have bought so many great items here over the years...from jewelry to furniture to dishes.....everything is fabulous and has a story to tell. I love it! Every time I go it is a new adventure and I never know what I am going to find and take home with me. I have been going to Sheffields for 2 years and have LOVED LOVED LOVED it! Sensory overload is always a good thing for me! It brings me back weekend-to-weekend. I recently went and many, many (did I say many?!?!?) of the great vendor booths were gone, and have been replaced by just crappy stuff or just fillers so that the spaces weren't empty. I was disappointed beyond words - I was in the mood to shop and spend money! I have always known that Sheffield's take is 60%, but I am afraid it has chased off the great vendors. As a matter of fact, I am seeing things I KNOW were displayed in Sheffields, that are now being posted on Marketplace, thus telling me that vendors have permanently moved on. I truly hope that management reads this, and turns it around quickly. I will give it one more glance in a month or so, but if the wow factor has not been brought back, I won't waste my time continuing to walk through and I won't return again. read more

Always have fun strolling the aisles. I can't speak to the overall reasonableness of the prices, but I think they are generally what you'd expect from a large antique mall with many different sellers. I've bought a few smaller items including 2 stoneware ginger beer bottles and a stoneware marmelade pot from a seller that specializes in antiques from Europe. I try to avoid the sellers trying to capitalize on the chalk paint trend by selling poorly painted pieces of thrift store furniture. It takes some time, but some of the specialty (or themed) stalls have some unique items. I loved to make a night of it and eat at Grisanti's. read more

This place is super fun. I could easily get obsessed with stalking it out for great finds. Buyer beware that all of it is not antique and there are quite a few items I found that were just purchased (likely on sale) at Hobby Lobby or Walmart then mixed into the other items and over priced. With that said, there are tons of bargains to be had here and quirky fun finds. If you need a new end table or whatever piece of furniture, it is a great place to check out. You will likely find a great piece for your home and a half the price of a new (probably not as well made) piece from a furniture store. Same with wall hangings and other various home items. Of course if Antiques are your thing, you will LOVE this place. Oh! And I have found so much jewelry here that I just adore. It is really fun to go here with a friend or your mom in tow and just have some walks down memory lane seeing old metal lunch boxes, toys from the 60s-80s and so forth. This is not a store you go for 30mins...plan to spend time in there if you want to actually look around. You could easily spend a full day in this place. They have a terrific Italian restaurant in the back of the store but it is a bit pricey. You get yummy quality food for the price though! They have vending machines by the restrooms in the center back of the store too. The staff and vendors are all very pleasant and make sure to grab some fudge or other local yummies by the register! read more

I love this store, if I have 45 minutes to kill in the Collierville area. Recently I've gone to lunch at the Grisanti's in the back of the store a couple times, too. The food comes in tiny dishes and is overdressed, but there is a fair wine list, giving me permission to DAYTIME DRINK! Back to Sheffield, This is an old Walmart, so you know the shop is large. When you walk in, the new, cutesy, chalk-painted type items will be to the far right. The grandma-died-and-what-do-we-do-with-this-stuff stuff will be on the far left wall (go and tell me I'm not right, I dare you), like old coca-cola bottles, and the 70's and 80's decor, pillows, etc. The middle of the store is loaded with goodies, from pressed glassware, to true antiques (about 1/4 of the store volume is actually antique, more of it is vintage or refinished, or just resale gifts), to old toys, license plates, artwork, majolica, dining sets, decorative pieces, candles, frames, knick-knacks, and great furniture. I've bought several pieces from this store, including some brand-new made-in-china wood resin dining chairs, and a gorgeous pie safe. I love a good pie safe, and right now they have several lovely ones, in larger sizes. I guarantee, walking through this antiques mall, you will come across some things: *that remind you of your childhood *that remind you of your grandma's house *that you could give to teachers or friends as holiday gifts *that you could totally use to upgrade a room *that "would be so cute" in a kid's room *that you absolutely don't need but LOVE (e.g. a circus train box car table) *that you saw at a friend's place but didn't know where-they-bought-that *that are overpriced or underpriced (I use my phone to check comparable prices) *that are SEC decorations/ornaments/dog outfits *that are uniquely southern Checkout can be a little confusing, there's a counter with lots of people behind it, but it's hard to tell where to go. It always bothers me when a place calls themselves an antique mall but most of the stuff in it is not antique. This place is very large and there are a lot of different booths with a wide selection of items. However, most of the items are newer with a large majority of it made to appear old. If you are not over 50% antique, you probably shouldn't call yourself an antique mall. Also, quite a few of the items in the booths are extremely over priced. You may be able to find a gem or two out of al the items in this large building, but it will take you a bit to find it. read more
