Not truly knowing what had happened, we were extremely nervous, helpless, and needed attention! We limped into town with a loud, sputtering truck and a 30' camping trailer. We drove in through and were heading back out through this small town when we pulled into a trucking company parking lot. A man sitting in his PU truck said, "go to the station on the corner - they'll take good care of you". That was an understatement! Busy to the max, the store manager, Darin, with a cast on his ankle from a 3-day-old surgery, checked out our damage, diagnosed the problem instantly; but said they had no leeway in their schedule to do any kind of a fix for us. He called another shop in town and got the same response. After thinking it over and probably realizing the gravity of our situation (we weren't going far the way we were), he offered us a mechanic to look at it after a while and see how bad the damage was and IF a temporary fix would be a possibility. Scott, the chosen mechanic, after almost 4 hours, had put a temporary spark plug adaption on the cylinder that had the plug blow out and we were able to travel once more. We were almost 200 miles from home but made it and can now have our truck fixed with a more permanent procedure. Darin and Scott were life-savers to us and we really appreciated their generosity, knowledge, and professionalism! A GREAT STORE WITH GREAT EMPLOYEES!!

Over my years on this planet I have been to this location a bunch of times. I just seem to have…read morenever reviewed it. Ebensburg was just a short drive for use growing up and almost always a stopping point on my journeys when I started to move further out. I suppose you can say that this Sunoco almost sits at the center of the town. A mere block or so from the County Courthouse and right next to the small corner park. The lot for this establishment is small, always has been, but it suffices. Side story: I remember once when I was younger and had just gotten my license I stopped here for gas and while pulling out hit the fence to the park...no damage, just made the fence shake a bit. I never go inside the store portion of this as I am usually only here for fuel and try to get on my way to where I need to be. Most recent travel through it was time to fuel up and I chose here. Pulled right in, scanned my card, pumped my fuel and was on my way. My Dad says that this location is usually the lowest for fuel in the Ebensburg area. There are other gas stations, but they are mostly near the highways, this one is right in town.

For here, it's a bit of a journey to a grocery store and further if you wanted to go elsewhere. This location is your typical DG with a mix of DG Market. Your typical DG has the quick grab items with shelf stable items and some cooler/freezer items. Throw in a mix of goods for home and what not and you are covered. But this location has a small cooler for some fresh produce and meats. It is rather small, but serves a purpose for grabbing fresh items for a meal. I came in looking for that elusive item I had searched for all weekend. Say similar items, but they did not have exactly what I needed. What I can say is that this is very well used here. The parking lot was an indication that many people nearby come here to grab the necessities. Once inside it is more evident because of the size of the line of people waiting to purchase said items. What is sad is that DG put all this time, effort, and money into installing self checkouts, but has shut them all down because of the amount of theft that was happening. Pair that with the sever understaffing of any given spot that caused the line to be long and cause of a wait. Seeing this, I decided to not purchase an item here and stop at one of the many other locations nearby.
