Easy spot to stop for gas, bathroom, and anything else you might need. This is right off of 95 so easy on and easy off. Everything was clean, including the restrooms. The outside trash cans were full but not overflowing. They do have areas to sit inside and outside as well. There's even a car wash here. Lots of pumps so not waiting. We filled up our tank and then ordered a milkshake and an Americano from the kiosk. Both things were made to order and very tasty. The employees are also very pleasant and friendly. read more

Unfortunately this Sheetz is lowering the bar for a gas station I've loved over the years. This particular location has overflowing trash cans, broken glass on ground and restrooms are horrendous. I hope this is just a bad day but I doubt it. Good luck in the future. read more

The cashier was very friendly and helpful. And the store concept is cool. I think it's great that they have "full service" coffee, but it's not truly full service without being able to talk to a barista. You can order specialty coffees, which is way better than most gas station coffee options, but you have to order through a machine. And there isn't an option to submit a note, like "use half and half instead of milk." The coffee ended up costing almost as much as Starbucks (I am not a fan nor supporter of Starbucks or their acid rinsed coffee). When it came out, the taste was great, but the coffee was just hot enough to sustain for about 6 minutes before being a room temp drink. I asked if someone could heat it up and was told that they aren't allowed to use the microwave...the very nice cashier insisted he would just make another, but that made no sense, considering the outcome would be the same and we still couldn't heat it up. I supposed they could have re-steamed it to warm it up, but there was probably an huge one issue with that too. So, no more fancy coffees from Sheetz for me, but I would still use their self-service machines. They had plenty of coffee, creams/milks, and sweeteners. Sheetz: If you offer specialty coffees and charge almost as high as a coffee shop, definitely provide the service and options that go along with that experience. :) read more

We stopped here for lunch and a restroom break since apparently other businesses in this area cant be bothered to up their inside dining. Fortunately, this place was open. We ordered some food to go from here. First time we have had Sheetz food... it was fine. Nothing special but not bad. The biggest complaint I had here is the outside was really trashy. Lots of paper, cups, wrappers, etc all around the entrance doors. Not sure if we just caught them on a bad day or what,.... but thankful they were open for business! read more

Driving to head back home and stopping by to "Sheetz" is like stopping by Wawa but a slight upgrade in my opinion. It's different though because we don't want one in my neck of the woods and it is a must stop while at Roanoke rapids. This place is a good stop on a drive back home. Great for a small pit stop to get some snacks, food and gas. They offer burgers, salads, hot dogs, breakfast coffee, and the best part is that have a drive thru and u can take advantage of their app. There is a nice drive in car wash. I mean surrounding sheets there are also a lot of good fast food options, but I like the convenience of having an all around one stop shop and dine in area. The inside is clean and the seating inside and outside is convenient on a nice day to hang out. Take advantage of free WiFi. The people here are nice and friendly and having nice modern booths and TVs give this place a top notch above our Wawa gas stations by far comparison. I like that the touch screen menus give all that Sheetz offers. The burgers, sandwiches, French fries, and the wraps look so good. The shakes were catching my attention on the screens and I love that there is such a big variety of options to choose other than just sandwiches. I love the cool touches of stations they have. Dispensers filled with nuts, cookie toppings, chopped mints and a smorgasbord of a variety of slushees, shake stations of many flavors. The options are big here. Grab and go sandwiches, yogurt, wraps, hummus dip, salads and a good selection of healthy options. On the outside u can here music playing while pumping gas. I loved the options while ordering, ignored the buzzing alarm going off in the kitchen the entire time, and got my hopes up a little too far. While waiting for my sandwich I picked up some snacks from their very good selection, and settled on a soda I had never seen before. While those pre-packaged options were all fine, the three of us agreed that the counter orders (meatball sub, chicken melt, and some kind of salad) were all well sub-par. Add to that the fact that the alarm was STILL GOING OFF 8 MINUTES LATER, and we decided to pass on the very tempting ice cream bar with toppings. read more

Absolutely pathetic! Sheetz is normally pretty good, but this place is a run down s*** hole. The employees are rude and stupid. Waited 27 minutes for a burrito - I could have gone to a sit down restaurant in that time - and when I got it, it was COLD! Apparently they just left it sitting somewhere for almost half an hour while I stood there waiting. Since this isn't normal for a Sheetz, I can only assume the manager is an idiot. Stopped here for gas during a roadtrip. We specifically picked here because in my previous experience, Sheetz are usually cleaner and nicer than other gas stations. Clean bathrooms, good selection of junk food. Good to know they met Sheetz expectations. read more

We stopped here on our way to SC on 12/10/21 at 1:15pm. We have stopped at many Sheetz over the years because we appreciate the options they offer while traveling. However, I can't say anything about the options at the one in Roanoke Rapids. Because, as usual, we pulled up to the gas pumps and planned to go in and order food. But when we pumped regular gas, which we have done FOR YEARS, and was charged a premium price, our plans changed. My husband went in and explained what happened to the manager who chose to hand us the customer service number and said there was nothing more she could do. Now, for us, it was an additional 8 or 9 dollars but I'm sure if this is a normal practice of the Sheetz in Roanoke Rapids, that store manager is really showing some profits on there gas sales. Outside is filthy, but inside was pretty clean. My problem is a small order of fries with nacho cheese taking 35 minutes. I asked about my order after waiting 15 minutes and was rudely told if that is all I had waited, I would be at least another 20 minutes before they got to my order. Had I known, I wouldnt have bothered to order or wait around. Huge waste of my time, especially since I had an overwhelmed autistic toddler with me who the fries were for.
