No trash on the ground. It was easy to use the pump & it actually printed a receipt. A lot of these stations force you to pick the receipt up from the cashier, which is a huge inconvenience in the rain (it's raining today). The gas prices was average to the area. No shocker there. I was in and out of there in minutes. I definitely recommend this location. There's even a Huddle House if you want to get a bite to eat.

We were not going to the food in kitchen however buffet lines are legal for me with my guide dog Yes, a legally recognized guide dog is permitted to go with you to a buffet in Virginia. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Virginia Law § 51.5-44, service animals are allowed in all public spaces. This includes communal food preparation areas, self-service food lines, and buffet spaces. You have full legal access, even if state or local health codes prohibit animals on the premises for the general public Therefore they were out of line handles it disrespectfully and said if I'm blind how can I read smh lol that was a jerking thing to say seeing with technology there's audio and so much more just plain RUDE. Tons of souvenirs and junk, plus snacks, but we were on a mission to get to South of the Border and all the junk there. There were several women in the bathroom, but they were incredibly sweet about me having brought a male careperson in. No one objected and you can't imagine what a relief that is to me every time that happens. The accessible stall was a tight squeeze but I was able to fit my entire wheelchair inside and shut the door. Love's is a truckstop and I was fascinated when they paged people to let them know that their showers were ready. Intrigued, I looked it up and it seems that the showers ARE accessible. Now I really want to see one. I have been on roadtrips before where I couldn't access a shower. That really put a damper on my mental health after a couple days. It's nice to know that I don't have to suffer, if there's a Love's around.

My children were ready to jump in their car and drive the 4 hours to get to me... then we were told about David's Towing. We called them and instantly was told that the driver was coming, was 15 minutes away and would stay with me until I was safely settled. The car needed to stay over night. The driver brought me to a Hilton hotel, went inside to verify they had a room for me and even waited for me to be checked in before he left. He even told me in the morning not to call Uber they would come get me. By midnight I had an update on the car and I went to sleep. The next morning I received a call saying the car was done and it was done before I had to check out of the hotel. Someone was on their way to get me. The pricing was reasonable and being a woman alone at their mercy they could have charged me anything.... But they didn't. I got back on the road for a 12 hour drive. Imagine my shock when about 12 hours later I received a text from the owner just asking if I had made it home safely. I couldn't believe he would even think to do that! I told him I was still on my way but close, wished him well and finally made it home. I highly highly recommend David's towing. I can't rave about them enough, or say how safe I felt! Thank You to the owner for taking care of this mom and making her spouse and kids feel I was in good hands on Thanksgiving weekend!
