If you are in need of fuel, snacks, drinks, or a small item you forgot, they got you covered. As your typical truck stop this lot is overrun by semis and all types of trucks. But it is still easily navigable when you make a stop. Plenty of pumps if you need fuel. Inside, you will find the typical snacks and drinks. And with this being a truck stop, you will come across a lot of items targeted to travelers. Think duty free at the airport type of items meets trucker types of items. The facilities were decent. Not completely well kept, but usable. There was an odor to them, but it is a shared bathroom with the McDonald's as well.

I bought $22.00 gas at the pump and I used my American Express credit card and got charged $100.00…read moreI called the gas station attendant and they were in total denial of the shady practices that their gas pumps are doing to their customers. They had the nerve to accuse my bank of creating the problem. I did contact customer service and of course it's a gas station that's actually doing it. Unfortunately they put a temporary hold on card with that huge amount. This was the first time I ever used my credit card at this gas station. I have used my visa debit card before and never had this sort of problem with them. I have been buying gas from them for many years. As of now, they lost my business for good. I don't care if it's temporary pending hold on my card, it's the idea that they are taking advantage of its customers. Unfortunately for the moment it's legal for these gas stations to put large holds on credit cards, but it does not morally make it right. What make it worse is that their gas station attendants are lying to their customers claiming it's a banking problem when it's not. I wonder if this is financially worth it for the owner to rig their gas pumps to create higher charges on credit cards. How many days will ACT hold my money? I should demand interest on my money. I'm not a bank, I'm a customer and to tie up my funds without my authorization I consider unethical. I'm glad I got my receipt from the gas pump. Just because other gas stations are placing temporary holds between $100-$150 does not make it right. I hope sooner or later Congress will put a stop to this type of shady practices that gas stations are doing all over the country. What's to stop grocery stores or other places from doing the exact same thing. This also puts a financial hardship on certain individuals living pay check to pay check.

Honestly, I would have gone to the Sheetz up the road, but this was located closest to the highway exit. The reason I usually bypass this location is because of the entrance/exit. It does not have direct access to the road, instead you have to go to a traffic light and hope that it is not a long wait. Then you have to hope that no semis is trying to make the turn as well. Once you do get into the lot there are plenty of pumps and parking spaces. I was able to pull up to one of the pumps it was easy to pay at the pump. I did the fuel thing quickly and then headed inside. I used the facilities and then did a quick check to see what snacks they had and grab myself a drink. They weren't that busy, and since there was hardly any wait, I was able to get to the registers quick. With them staffing this place so lowly it was a self checkout experience. I paid, went outside and stretched my legs a bit before heading back on the road. Heading out, of course I got the light. After waiting nearly five minutes I was able to get on the road and reenter the highway.

There are tons of pumps here and ample parking. Suggestion here is that if you get fuel and plan to go inside, move your vehicle. Not only is it the polite thing to do, but it saves you the walk through the busy lot (and it is a fairly big walk to the door). Inside it feels huge. Lots of items on the shelves in the convenience store portion of the building. What is odd about this place is the location of the other amenities that are advertised within. The Cinnabon location is basically a kiosk right as soon as you walk in the door. It gives the place that sweet smell. Then the Subway is in the same building but more so by itself. It feels like it is separated, but in reality it is all the same building. They put a lot in here since it is a travel center, and it serves its purpose. As far as the facilities. Decent. I can't speak about the showers as I am not a trucker, but the bathrooms for use were decent and seemed to be well taken care of.

However, because of my recent visit I wasn't driving, I ended up here. My thoughts on this place was kind of true. I didn't want to come here because it is confusing, and I wasn't wrong. I mean I'm not wrong here. This is basically a gas station. Approaching it, you think that it is a gas station with a Subway. But what you see is that there is way too much going on here. You have the gas station portion and convenience store portion. But then add a car wash to the lot and it gets cramped. Think that the lot is cramped, go inside. Along with the Subway and convenience store you have to add in another section where they also make other food other than the Subway. PNC Bank ATM outside as well. Honestly, this feels more like a truck stop, but on a much smaller scale. I am not sure how they were able to cram so much in here, it sure doesn't feel like just a gas station.
