NARRATIVE: This Wawa is about a 30 minute drive from the Raleigh area and at night, on that two lane road with no street lights was a nail biter drive. Wawa is basically a gas station with an indoor restaurant (Wawa) and orders can be made via their mobile app, telephone or in person. The selection of food items is pretty extensive. Everything from breakfast items to pizzas. I ordered their meatball sandwich with parmesan cheese, a side of their jalapeño Mac & Cheese and a smoothy refresher drink. My daughter tried their cheese burger and a regular order of Mac & Cheese. My Meatball sub was outstanding! My son didn't steer me wrong and my daughter said her border was just okay. Not something she would order again. We both agreed the Mac & Cheese dishes were very good when hot and fresh but, not worth keeping as left overs and reheating later. Explained that I understand my insurance doesn't cover it and said I will be back Friday. 10:30 Friday I return to pick up and it still hasn't been filled. Now I am being told that they do not know if they have it in stock. The pharmacist writes down my phone number and says he will call me in an hour or two. He didn't. I drive up here again three hours later and it still hasn't been filled. An employee presses a couple button and says to the pharmacist "we have one hundred and thirty in stock". Then I am told "we do have them in stock but we are closing for lunch you will have to come back at 2:30". There is a sign on the drive through window saying that the drive though is closed due to short staff. Meanwhile there were 4-5 pharmacy customers on hold according to there phone intercom. I understand being short handed. There is nobody to man the drive through, close it. There isn't enough people to handle every caller, by answering the phone constantly the people who are here get bogged down and cannot do the job in front of them, ok don't answer it. Now you can focus on the customers standing at the counter and they will receive your full attention. If that's what it takes Great!! But I have stood at your counter four times this week my needs have gone unaddressed and you just turned me away again because my medicine was interfering with your lunch break.
