Like someone else said before, this is not your typical gas station stop. Yes, gas is available if that is what your stop is consisting of. However, there are a lot of other things available at this place for total convenience when travelling across 22. Diesel is available for the bigger trucks at pumps specifically for them. Inside there is an array of prepackaged items to grab and go with. What I stopped for was a sit down lunch. They have the capabilities to make just about everything that any other fast food joint can. My parents in the past have tried the pizzas here and loved them. I was not in the mood for pizza and decided to get a good old fashioned hot dog or two. I went with two chili cheese dogs and fries. Decent sized dogs that were covered in chili and then smothered in cheese. One thing that I noticed they did differently from other places was that they toasted the buns. Kind of an ingenious idea, it holds the toppings better for a longer time. I was really eager to dig into my meal and underestimated how hot this would be. Not sure why I did that because as soon as it was done they brought it right to me. In my eagerness I burnt the roof of my mouth. But it was worth it, really it was. For gas station food, it really hit the spot.

Now that you have Giant Eagle taking over, it's all the GetGo brand. Access to this particular location is a breeze if you are heading westbound on 22; however, heading east on 22, it is almost impossible to cross the highway to enter their property. So do be careful, or just go the extra feet up to the light and do a U-turn. I would say this is an easy in and out store, but with them just taking over the building and not remodeling or tearing down and building anew, it is set up a little differently.

On a second occasion, my drinks were made incorrectly with the wrong flavors, AGAIN! I definitely started notice a pattern rather than bad luck, so I went back to the store to get it corrected. What really stood out wasn't just the mistake itself, but how it was handled. It's one thing to make an error, but it's another when someone is literally looking at you and laughing about it as if wasting someone's time and money is funny, which felt disrespectful and unprofessional. I did speak with a manager, she took responsibility for the situation but didn't actually handle or resolve it. Honestly felt like she was trying to brush the issue off and move past it as if it never really happened and to me that really shows that customer service at this store doesn't seem like a priority. If you don't like your job, then QUIT, because bringing that kind of negative energy into customer interactions isn't fair to people who are paying for a service.

I suppose you can say that this Sunoco almost sits at the center of the town. A mere block or so from the County Courthouse and right next to the small corner park. Side story: I remember once when I was younger and had just gotten my license I stopped here for gas and while pulling out hit the fence to the park...no damage, just made the fence shake a bit. I never go inside the store portion of this as I am usually only here for fuel and try to get on my way to where I need to be. Most recent travel through it was time to fuel up and I chose here. Pulled right in, scanned my card, pumped my fuel and was on my way. My Dad says that this location is usually the lowest for fuel in the Ebensburg area. The configuration of this particular Sheetz actually works. Located on a corner with a traffic signal makes it fairly easy to enter and exit. Inside is a bit small, but all the conventional Sheetz items are available to grab and get back on the road.

This is the newest of locations in good old Northern Cambria. If you were to drive through the town from the north you would see the other two old Sheetz buildings before you got to this new one. What can be said badly about the food you order from Sheetz. Even the newer items there are amazing even if not well received by the general public. Downside to this location, even with the upgraded size from everything like the lot to the content of merchandise, accessibility to get into the location. Located right across the street from the Giant Eagle where no one really understand how to leave or enter their parking lot and on busy 219 makes it a bit uneasy. There is a back entrance, but not much better because the road still intersects with 219. If they were to reconfigure the entrance to GE and maybe add a traffic light for safety I would give this place five stars.

There's pizza, sandwiches, chicken, mexican, hot dogs, breakfast foods, burgers, fish... something for just about everyone. At the same time, Sheetz will also tame your inner coffee beast. Mocha, cappuccino, frappe, black, creamer, hot cold. You name it, they have it. I'm a fan of the Peanut Butter Fluffernutter smoothie... Granted, it's not good for my waistline, but it's just so darn good! I've been to this Sheetz literally countless times. If you come here during prime times (Lunch time, breakfast time, supper) there may be a bit of a wait if you are ordering food/MTO drinks. Other than that I've never experience too many other issues here. The staff is always nice, which is a plus when they are super busy. They have changed a few things about this spot, some for the better, some for the worse. The one huge improvement they have made is the fact that you can now pay at the pump. Prior to the changeover you had to guess-timate how much gas your car would take. Under shoot that amount and you don't get a full tank. Over shoot that amount and you had to walk back in for a refund of the difference. I was so happy to see this change as it reduced the amount of time I had to spend getting gas. Another change is that they have an expanded menu of made to order food. I cannot speak of the food as I have never had a chance to partake in any of it. I only know of this because of the bright-as-the-sun new sign they have out front. It nearly blinds you with the announcement of the deals for the day. Huge, huge negative here, the gas. I'm not sure where they get their gas from, but it is not the best out there. For me, travelling is a big part of my day, and I usually depend on a good gasoline. You think that you are getting a good deal here as it is usually the cheapest gas around for a while. Always a few cents cheaper than the Sunoco up the street, and nearly ten cents cheaper than any other gas station around. But, to me, this is a facade. I filled my gas tank up and headed on my way. Usually when I do this I can make my round trip to work and back on a little over an eighth of a tank of gas. However the day I stopped here, it took a half of tank of gas for the same travel. There were no side trips, no detours, just the same route I take daily for work. I doubt I will stop here again unless I am made aware of a change is gasoline supplier. If I am going to throw money away, I can find better places to do so rather than a gas station.
