After a long exhausting week of road tripping I started to head my way home and decided that after driving for what felt like hours I needed to find a familiar place to take a break. As I neared the Tennessee/Virginia state line, I saw the familiar red of Sheetz on the roadside sign. I knew, without a doubt, that I would be making a stop here. Pulled off the highway and made my way here. This location isn't far from the highway exit so it can be as quick of a stop as you need it to be. I stopped to refuel my vehicle and of course go inside and refuel myself. This location, like most, is a busy one. I was lucky enough of to be able to pull into a pump right away. However, when I was done fueling I had to leave my vehicle at the pump as most spots were taken in front of the store. Once inside I made quick work to use the facilities and grab a drink. If I didn't have more miles to go, I would have gotten myself a MTO. I opted for the self checkout to help facilitate a swifter exit so I wasn't taking up a the spot at the pump for too long. Once I was done inside, made my way back to my vehicle. When I exited it was a quick reentry onto the highway to continues on my way. read more

Typical Sheetz offering reasonably priced gas and food. They offer the usual convenience store items along with an outrageous made-to-order menu. Even though I've been to a Sheetz numerous times, I'm still surprised each time I visit to discover new and old menu items. I often choose a breakfast sandwich, fries, or hot drink. This visit I opted for the custom salad. Most items on the menu are very customizable. This is great if you have specific food preferences or you just want to get creative. Although this Sheetz was busy during our visit, several of the ordering kiosks were open. We placed our orders at the kiosk, paid at the counter, and used the restroom. The restrooms do need a little attention. Our order was ready in a reasonable amount and accurate. Even with our customizations the items were made correctly and tasted great. Overall, Sheetz is a recommended spot for gas and food while traveling. read more

Used to stop here all the time for food when I was coming or going to work, but the wait time lately has been outrageous. Placed a mobile order with a 17 minute wait, got there 10-15 minutes later and was told it would be a 25-35 minute wait. This is the normal. Don't stop here unless you plan on spending half the day or night waiting. read more

Do not shop here. They now have self checkout and checkout via app, but I'm warning you not to use either. I used the app to checkout and a big fat woman that must be some kind of "manager" called the police and accused me of stealing. Apparently this happens frequently here. Their food is nasty anyways. Yes, yes, and yes. I am a Sheetz-aholic. What began as a casual drop by, grab and go in one of the original Sheets stores in Altoona, Pa many years ago has become something just short an obsession. So when traveling, if I have the opportunity to choose between any of the major convenience stores (and there are countless across the US), then Sheetz is my 1st and foremost go-to. Sheetz is consistent from store to store; quality is held to strict standards; every store (normally) has spotless interiors and clean restrooms. (And if they don't then 'corporate' wants to hear about it.) Perhaps best of all - MTO - Made To Order. No ooey-gooeys that have been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. Your sammie or cappuccino or whatever is going to be made right after you order it. And you get to pick absolutely every aspect of your MTO. So, on a recent trip we stopped by this Sheetz. (Sadly, there are none near our hometown.) Same bright and inviting interior we've come to love. Same great service. Same super selections....and lo and behold....soft serve now! With a bunch of toppings. As Arnold said, and I'd agree...."I'll be back." (Well, perhaps not to this specific store, but certainly to one of the Sheetz stores along the many roads I travel. If you want to call here to ask for anything, don't bother because you won't get an answer 98% of the time. Also, unlike these other reviews where the "Business Manager" or owner are replying, I could care less, it's an okay spot and you get some mediocre food that's overpriced as is, there are plenty of spots around to get your fill, please do. I love pizza. Everybody loves pizza. Some pizza is better than others. I never knew it was possible to mess up an overpriced single slice of pizza. I couldn't even finish it. So terrible. Left very hungry still. Buy fuel here, not pizza. Other than that it's a great gas station. Tons of other foods to choose from and it's always squeaky clean. This place was clean, had nice restrooms, had many drink, dessert, and food options for sandwiches, salads, donuts, ice cream, many different drink options from fountains as well as the fridge. A friend told me about this place and I thought I would try. Burger tasted like the lettuce was rotten and the meat tasted like it was steamed in water versus actually cooked. Very water logged. When I complained they wouldn't give me a refund but only a gift card. Worst burger I've ever had in my life. Horrible service. read more
