When other doctors (Methodist) said they couldn't help me, Dr Schedden immediately did emergency surgery on spine. Recovering now.

I want to share my personal experience with First Primary Care…read more This is the first time in my life, I felt like I have found a health care provider that treated my family as patients. We were able to receive one on one consultation with Dr. Kate Snodgrass to learn about our medical history as an initial visit. Although things moved fairly rapidly for my family with a challenging medical need, Dr. Snodgrass stayed in touch and walked us through what to do and is guiding us through our medical journey as our Primary Care Physician. Transparency is a top priority for my family when it comes to healthcare and First Primary Care achieves it without flaws. There is a lot of fear that comes with the unknown. The fears can cause stress and hesitation to get the care you need but if you know what to expect and you have a provider that can lay out a clear road map you can overcome those fears and get quality care My friend said, "It is a different kind of health care and health care plan." I couldn't agree more. What we love most about First Primary Care: 1. Open communication 2. Personalized Care & Medical Guidance 3. Transparency on HealthCare Cost 4. Healthcare providers with the heart of a teacher If you do not have health coverage, please look into them.

Dr Snodgrass is a skilled practitioner who has taken a lot of time with my care and she has been so…read moreresponsive to any questions or problems. She has taken time to research my condition and inquire with other practitioners if there are any tips in how to treat it. Every question has been answered. That day , more often within an hour. And the plan of care is discussed and agreed on by both of us. As a health care provider myself, I am so impressed with the practice. She and the staff go above and beyond. During this time of uncertainty with Covid it can be easy to get lost inside a practice and have real difficulty getting answers. That is the opposite of what you get with this practice.

I can not say enough about Woodlands Family Practice. I have been a patient at this office since I…read morewas a little girl. After college, we moved back to the area and I knew this is where I would take my family! Dr Yau, Dr Mabry and all of the nurses and office staff at the office go above and beyond to make us feel taken care of and also loved! Dr Yau is our family's physician and has taken excellent care of us. We now have 2 children, one was born extremely premature and one with a minor heart condition. I trust his care and his advice 100%. I know my kids are in good hands! Not only is he knowledgable and thorough, he is kind and encouraging. I never feel rushed or overlooked. We love Woodlands Family Practice!

DO NOT BECOME A NEW PATIENT HERE. Dr. Powellson is the WORST experience I have ever had with a…read morephysician, in any capacity or context-including prison, in all of my life. I'm 52. Dr. Powellson was in NO way friendly, welcoming, comforting, or helpful. He was, instead;rude, argumentative, interrupting, judgemental, cold, and dismissive. He was entirely focused on my mental health diagnosis-which was NOT why I was there-and treated my physical health, as well as some important concerns I tried to communicate, as an afterthought. The room was cold, sterile, uncomfortable, and so is Dr. Powellson. I was immediately put off and defensive with his demeanor, and his lack of focus on my physical health rather than my mental- he seemed to form an opinion when I told him my diagnosis- was confusing and frustrating. I jave a lump in my abdomen and another in my pelvis that he NEVER EXAMINED, or asked about them after I mentioned it. I felt judged, as though Dr Powellson has a bias about people with BPD. The building and the lobby made me want to turn around as soon as I got there, and Dr. Powellson made me so uncomfortable; feeling judged and argued with, and frustrated, that I walked out of the appointment within 5 minutes of meeting and talking to him. At NO time did I feel like Dr Powellson cared about my physical concerns, or even HEARD them. This was just supposed to be a general physical and check-up, and Dr. Powellson made it the most uncomfortable, unpleasant, and awful appointments I have ever had.
