This is all I am going to say fellow Yelpers... This Cutlery Shop is BADASS…read more Customer Service was simply the best... had a extensive collection of vintage cutlery and kitchen paraphernalia. David even had a great sense of humor and also recommend some good local eateries which I tried and now recommend to others. If you need your knives sharpened or just need to buy another knife to add to your collection then Hawthorne Cutlery is your spot. So let it be written... So let it be Sharpened.

Third time I have tried to go here during their "hours of operation". Doesn't answer phone, doesn't…read morereturn messages, apparently never there. Very frustrating. Apparently the place is cool but has thus far wasted a combined hour of my time driving here trying to actually shop. I have money to spend, how do places like this survive? Don't bother calling to see if they're open, they're not, they don't answer if they are. Update: Received a call back. Immediately hung up on me with a very surly "forget it" before I could adjust my volume. Why the fuck would I give this asshole a penny? Rude to his customers, doesn't seem care about his shop, disrespectful of your time. Is this just a retired hobbyist who fucks around in his knife shop when he feels like it? What a joke. Also seen other reviews now saying this guy has made creepy comments on women's bodies. Glad I didn't end up coming here, would have brought a female friend.

QFC - Anther close up pic of my son's 5th bday Cuphead theme delicious cake from QFC Portland. Notice the edible poker chips on the side? Love it!

This is an overdue review, but I love QFC's bakery not only because their cakes are moist and…read moredelicious, but this is the best place to go for custom birthday cake decorating! Please note that most of the cake toppers (not all), mostly the figurines, were ones I bought separately and added onto the cake as QFC doesn't sell them at their store. If you give them an idea and vision about your birthday cake, they will make magic happen!! I've had this bakery make birthday cakes for my son's 2nd, 5th, and 6th birthday parties. His 7th birthday is coming up so I'm already planning to have them help me with creating an amazing 3D cake again this year! Danette was the cake designer for my son's 5th bday cake (Cuphead theme) which was a full sheet! It was a big project and she was amazing to work with. For my son's 6th bday cake (Fortnite theme) last year, we only did a half sheet and I think Danette also helped, but for the life of me, I can't remember who the other (main) person was, but I do remember the manager also assisted. My son's 2nd birthday cake was a Nightmare Before Christmas themed cake. He loved and still loves Halloween! The entire QFC Bakery staff at this location were amazing and so very helpful each and every time. Everyone always asks me where and who decorated my birthday cakes as they're show stoppers at my parties. We did my son's 5th bday party at Defy and I had random ppl stopping by just to admire the cake! LOL.. My guests also commented about how moist and delicious the cakes were which is really what I care most about with cakes as I loveee a good moist cake. Although I live in Camas, WA and there's a QFC location close to me, this is my go-to place for birthday cakes and my pictures will attest why.

I have been a shopper here for years and recently they have arbitrarily beginning to refuse entry…read moreto customers, at whatever time they deem "too late," a businesses stated hours are universally understood as the point when they stop letting customers in. If the hours say 8pm at a restaurant, they seat people until 8pm. If the store is open until 1am they are required, by law, to leave the main exit unlocked, until 1am. It's a health and safety risk, which is by far the bigger issue in this instance if there is a fire and the doors are locked, customers and employees could become trapped inside. The other problem is that a consistent store schedule is essentially a contract with their customers, so that the customers know that they can rely on the business. I have gone to QFC, at about 12:45am 1-4 times a week, for years. Knowing that I can get food there, at that time, and so planning things accordingly. Recently I have shown up at that time and been denied entry a few times, but other times they are letting people into the store at 12:59, as is right. It's an unwritten rule that if you go into the store just before they close, you make sure you get what you need and get to the register, but that is essentially a courtesy to the employees of the store, that the employees now feel that they are entitled to... in fact they might not even let you in if there is plenty of time to get quite a a whole bunch of groceries and still be out before closing, depending on how they are feeling that day.

Unless you are a gourmet Guru I am not sure you need a chefs knife that is $500. That being said if you are -- and you DO need it then go here. It is local and service oriented.

Staff are very friendly and I believe the prices are affordable. They have incredible selection and the inventory is frequently changing! Sure, they have used CDs and vinyls, but also, so much more! Furniture, home décor, artwork, electronics, toys and games, collectibles, and an entire basement (not obvious from outside) full of clothing, costumes and accessories, all priced competitively and reasonably. My wife ended up secretly returning and buying, off all things, a giant toy pirate ship that I was ogling for, of all things, using in an upcoming D&D campaign. So...yeah...that's where I'm at in life, haha! But that just goes to show that Rerun2 (there's another one, apparently!) really does have something for everyone; even dorky man-children like me (and all my friends, who were similarly awed by it, so there)! Rerun2 may be the exception to the rule, where the sequel is as good, or better than the original. That's still to be determined, but after striking gold at this location on NE Sandy, this is one Rerun I will happily revisit.
