I called 1 week prior to my appointment to confirm that 1.5 hours would be enough time to have the…read moretrim and color completed to get to my next appointment for the day. I specifically said that my next appointment was at 4 pm. I was assured that it was not a problem and that my hair would be done easily in that amount of time When I arrived for my appointment I was informed by a student stylist that my appointment would not be with the person I had scheduled to have my appointment with, but would be with a different student stylist. First of all, the "instructor"/"owner" was nowhere to be found. She arrived after the students had independently began the process of dying my hair. When she did arrive she had two clients of her own who had been waiting for quite some time for her arrival as well. She began to announce to everyone in the room that she was late because she was at the "DMV and was the next number to be called". I was quite surprised by the nonchalant attitude considering people had been left waiting. As the minutes ticked by I had let the student working on my hair know that I had an appointment and that it was at 4 pm. I could tell by her reaction that she had in no way been told/notified of this even though I called a week ahead and spoke to her instructor. When time became a real issue, I am sitting there with my hair drenched in dye and the students doing their best to remedy the situation. The owner/"instructor" is working on her own client and begins to try and blame the entire situation on the students performance. It was one of THE MOST rude, unprofessional, and tactless things I have ever witnessed from a "professional", "instructor", or in a salon, period. When I began to explain that I spoke with her on the phone a week earlier, she decided to turn the blame on me as well stating "Well, we spoke on the phone and you have really long hair so it's hard to tell when someone is on the phone". At no point in our telephone conversation was I asked how long my hair was, I was simply told 1.5 hours was not a problem. The story ends like this, there was no time left to cut my hair nor was there time to completely dry or style it. I left the salon with uncut and more than half wet hair. The "instructor" did not offer to fix/remedy the situation in any way. I paid for the color and tipped the student (because she did a good job on the color and in NO way was this situation her fault). As I am about to walk out and leave with my hair an absolute hot mess, the owner says "I hope we didn't make you late" with a smile on her face. I have had my hair done many places at many different price points and have even went to cosmetology schools for hair and other services in the past. I have never encountered such unprofessional and poor service anywhere. It is certainly the first time in my life that I have left a salon without the services I booked being completed or with WET HAIR. The complete lack of professionalism on the part of the "instructor" was truly unbelievable. Once again, I would like to reiterate that the student did a great job and I am happy with my color. They should have never been put in that position.

I had an appointment this morning with Haley at 9:00. She texted me asking if I could come in at…read more9:30, which I agreed to, but did notify her I would have to run to work right after (since this appointment now set me 30 minutes behind). I didn't receive a reply, so at 9:20, I followed up to confirm that she was still coming in at 9:30. It was then that she notified me that she would actually not be there at 9:30. I felt that my time was disrespected, and that this situation was not handled professionally, especially considering I could have gone into work earlier and I had to follow up for her to tell me she would not make my appointment.

If you are a prospective cosmetology student, RUN. If you can handle borderline emotional abuse,…read morelying, manipulation, constant chaos, and general lack of organization, you might be able to learn a thing or two - at least if an instructor likes you - otherwise, good luck. The only reason they're able to find any staff is because of personal connections and don't actually care if you have an instructor's license or not before they hire you to teach because they're desperately trying to maintain their public image. Don't let anything you see or hear from them fool you, they're constantly downsizing the kits, cutting out educational/team building activities, skimping out on valuable educational time due to their inability to keep staff and stretching the staff they do have way too thin, all while raising the tuition. It was agonizing; having prospective cosmetology students tour the school when we just had THREE instructors quit at the same time because of how badly mistreated they were and having no real contingency plan, knowing they were getting fed the same lies my class and so many others were. Please take your money and go somewhere else before you waste it on a poorly fabricated sham like this.

I will update as I have received my package on time…read more Their confirmation email could use more information, and explicit information given that shipment will not occur until 30 + days later. Since online ordering closed on the university website I was unable to see what information was exactly given on the order process page. If you're a graduate looking to have photos done prior to your commencement and an online student, I recommend taking the time out of your day to visit campus and order on site. The only thing I'll say about the gown and information is I'm petite and 180 pounds. However, the gown I ordered for that size following their guidelines is extremely big on me and where the shoulders hit fall past my shoulders. It looks like I slapped a garbage bag on myself and will have to seek additional tailoring as commencement is very soon.

Extremely unhappy with this company. Not only do they not address their clearly terrible reviews,…read morebut customer service is no help at all. On my order confirmation it clearly states "Bachelor's Package," yet I received a Masters gown?? The company took a week to answer the email (with graduation right around the corner) and had me on hold for 30 minutes with no answer. I had to go to my campus and buy another gown, then Oak Hall finally responded saying I have to return it and will receive a refund less shipping. I should not have to pay $18 for shipping when I was sent the wrong gown. My friend was also sent the wrong gown, so I feel bad for the people who will be wearing the incorrect gown to their graduation because of the carelessness of this company.
