I've been able to get a sort of decent cut in other places, but every time I find one that can cut a style, they are gone by my return. Many have left the beauty business completely. Ugh I've known Katie for quite some time, but only had one cut by her at a previous salon. She now is with this salon. She's kind, sweet, and truly listens to what you want in a cut. You can't help feeling uplifted around her. Such a positive attitude. My last cut was fantastic. She had to correct a multitude of problems from my previous cut. I love it, and I will be returning for my foils soon. Give it a try! I do recommend Katie highly!

Janice did some research to find a hair color that would cover my gray and still be gentle on my scalp. Wow was I surprised at the results. No more gray hair and no red scalp. I love the atmosphere, the decor, the headrests in the shampoo bowl, and Chelsea who makes my hair magic. I go there every few months to retouch my color and I love my results. The drive to Drake Nelson is much more than what it was when I went to Tukwila, but considering I can go early to beat traffic coming in and Chelsea's prices are more affordable than at Gene Juarez I am fine with the commute.

I had been eying Lanes work on Instagram and let me tell you she worked her magic and I think I found my new go to stylist. I have dark, thick, curly hair and was in need for a little blonde to be put back into my life, because we all know blondes have more fun. Lane was extremely knowledgeable when it came to dealing with my hair and the whole process was completely relaxing. I came in with grown out highlights and left happily ever blonde! Having a good hair stylist in life is a must and Lane definitely delivered.

Easy place to find just at the base of the big steps on the UW Tacoma campus on Pacific Ave…read more Industrial interior. Def not a spa like feel, so there isn't a coziness about it at all. Waiting area is in back of shop instead of front what appears as a bar with hard metal stools with no back support. Maybe its unfinished. Kind of had that feel to it. My back is bad, so I just stood to wait for my appt. No water or beverage service at the bar for patrons, so if you have to be there a while, byod (bring your own drink). It's kind of dark inside. My wax girl came to work here from another place, so I'm trying to follow her. The wax room is dark, but the whole place is dark. *absolutely needs more lighting)* Parking is streetside that you have to pay for. The 3 stars is 1) For me..Im trying to save $ and Im used to free parking and it's also limited 'pay to park' 1 1/2 hours max on the street which isnt exactly cool...especially for long appointments. 2) Too dark inside to be performing hair cuts colors and body waxing beause you can't really check your work properly. *Free parking on Sundays so Ill try getting appt on that day* The girls are super sweet and I intend to go back for a haircut soon just because other reviews were rating this place high. Im going to give it a go, but low light does concern me. I'll be all over that. I dont usually let people cut my hair, so this is important. Offering your typical hair salon options cuts.colors.perms.styles etc Body waxing traditional and sugaring Ill try updating review post haircut. Until then....toodles
