Unfortunately, I cannot post negative stars. Shear Madness is what you must be experiencing if you go to this place. I called for an appointment and was quoted one price for a cut and color, then told I needed to speak to the beautician who would be there on Saturday. Called her and set the appointment and inquired about the price just to be sure. Her price was more than double the original quote.
Still I am new in town and need a place to get my hair done so I kept the appointment. I showed up 10 minutes before the appointment only to find she actually had two of us scheduled at the same time. I actually sat and waited a total of one hour and five minutes before she even got to me. It took me almost 4 hours to get a cut and color.
I took in a photo of the cut I wanted cute - kind of choppy bob with bangs that drape from the left side of my forehead to the right. Front and side the same length at the bottom, just past my shoulders. Sounds cute right? I also explained I I don't like razor cuts, and my hair is very "elastic" it really shrinks when it dries. I also told her I wanted highlights and low lights close to the colors I currently have. I thought this would be specific enough.
What I ended up with is a really bad Dutch Boy hair cut - Thanks to the razor my bangs are about an inch long and an inch wide. The front of my hair is straight with no layering or texturizing, the back is bobbed to the bottom of my hairline. I got a tint rather than highlights and low lights and now my hair is orange (ash tint my behind).
This trip to Shear Madness (cause I cannot describe it as anything else - sheer madness to go there) cost me $80 and left me completely unsatisfied and under impressed PLUS $145 to get the color and cut fixed to a semi-decent hairdo.
I always say it is only hair and it will grow back...but after the damage to my hair from two colors so close together and at the rate my hair grows it, will be 6 months just to get it to my shoulders again.
