His first three haircuts, with supposed kid-friendly $30 haircut salons (those places with cartoons and chairs that look like animals or little trucks), were complete nightmares. He was terrified and they were rushed so he screamed, cried and scratched at us the entire time his hair was being trimmed. I told this all to Chris and she said to bring him to her. She gently chatted with him and distracted him enough on the first visit that she was able to cut his hair without a single tear. Now our plan is to bring him in every so often to ensure he doesn't get scared again. He even told my mom (gramma) how much he loved the hair cut lady and recommended she see her for a hair cut! I've gotten pedicures there recently and decided to try their hair stylist. I was given a name Frankie and proceeded to schedule an appointment. Before the appointment, I showed her a photo of my desired style. She looked over it several times and guided me to shampoo station where she pushed my head and hair around way too harshly and without much care as to how it felt. When I said, "hey, slow down", she responded, "we're either a good fit, or not!" Hmm? The cut was exactly the opposite of what I had asked for, after asking to see the photo several times. Now, I will say that it was in no way the cut I requested but the worst part was after going there for a pedicure and mentioning my displeasure to my pedi person about the haircut and she agreed there was no similarity between the photo and my hair. No problem. It's not the first haircut that I got where I wasn't satisfied. And because of Frankie's (Trish?) attitude at the appointment, I didn't dare go back and complain. All that being said, I attempted to make another Pedi appointment and was told they were not accepting appointments for me. No explanation, nothing, just no appointment for me! So, hopefully, the owner,Melinda is reading this and will explain where their professionalism came from. Thanks for listening. I just received a response from Melinda on my post. None of what she said was in any way accurate. The desk person stated that all she knew was that she was not allowed to schedule me AND at the time I was getting the cut, there were a total of one other client and Liz in the entire salon when I was there and the only person who said anything negative was the stylist. I was too shocked to speak. I in no way complained about the cut to her, but it was mentioned to Liz who had referred me to the stylist, when I was there a week later.

This morning we had to wait until someone cane to open the door about 45 minutes late. The girl who opened up was Brittany and she looked angry as hell. My husband got his haircut first and I must say that even though you could feel the anger in the air, she did a good job. I was hesitant to have mine too because she looked so angry. When she asked if I wanted a haircut too, I decided to go for it. While she was taking care of me I questioned her a bit and learned that she is the only person left working there Mon thru Saturday and Amanda is the only one on Sunday. Nobody else! Something must have happened to empty the crew like that. I tried to get Brittany to tell me what happened but she did not give out too much information, other than " people don't want to work ". Teri was my masseuse and did my facial. If you are looking for someone who does great deep tissue work, she's your girl! I have injuries from a car accident and she worked so hard to make that area better, as well as identifying another area that was tight due to compensating for the injured area.
