In all cases, I have had tremendous service from each and every barber, and staff-member. I am very partial to Pamela M., because she knows and understands my unique hair, its growth, my style, etc., but have found that each barber knows how to cut hair quite well. The proof is that the place is always packed, and it is tough to "walk-in" and get a spot. At times, it's challenging to get an appointment with Pamela, as well, so I wait. Why, because I believe she's the best at cutting my hair. If I can't get an appointment, on the fly, I simply find another way or I remind myself that I need to plan better. I am an adult--and a professional--and The Barbershop is providing a professional service. If I want my preferred stylist/barber/friend to cut my hair, then I need to call ahead and get an appointment. The Barbershop team-members are making their living at this, and I believe they want to do their best and get the repeat business, but they're not at my beck and call even if it's a busy service-oriented business. I need to speak up for what I want and expect. If the TV is on the wrong channel, I ask if it's OK for it to be changed; if I don't want the shoulder massage, I say so, etc. If the haircut is not perfect, acceptable, or even bad, then I should share my experience or beliefs with the person responsible. In closing, I am a huge fan of The Barbershop and highly recommend it to those looking for a good professional cut, in Woodbury.

She has the magic touch! I don't know what she does but her waxes are definitely less painful than other specialists I have seen. She always cleans up my eyebrows without making them too thin, which is exactly what I like. She finds the perfect amount of sideburn to wax off, and very kindly mentioned I had just a couple of hairs on my chin she could get. She really listens to her clients and has great attention to detail so that I always walk away looking flawless! She also gets bikini waxes done in fewer passes so my skin does not get irritated. She takes great care to look and make sure not a single hair was left behind. I've never had anyone else tweeze my legs! Her eye for precision means I don't have to worry about those pesky short hairs that waxing can miss. She ensures I leave looking and feeling smooth! The Salon is very nice and has a warm atmosphere, figuratively and literally. The temperature is always comfortable and the tables have warmers on them, which is a great touch! Nevertheless, the prices are very reasonable compared to other places. (Please don't raise them because I said that!) So you can get a spa experience for a little less than you would pay at somewhere like European Wax Center. The parking lot is shared by surrounding businesses and it's always easy to find a spot. Booking for all services can be done online with easy fields to fill out. A confirmation email will get sent back with a few reminders leading up to the day. I use Erin for both balayage services and haircuts. Erin values her customers and has the cutest salon setup making everyone feel calm and relaxed.
