Sure enough, Junk Away offered the best deal--by far--but also an equally important sense of integrity and reliability. I was calling from hours away to try to help set something up for my parents. Not only did Will appreciate what I was asking for and give me a quick estimate, but he was also incredibly kind, very willing to assist my parents, and a pleasure to talk to. Junk Away is what small business should be all about. I should mention that I've had items hauled away previously. I'm familiar with the bait and switch scenarios, the haggling on site, the up-charges... NONE of that here!! My parents were absolutely ecstatic about the work done by this company. Punctual, friendly, strong, knowledgeable, fast, clean, you name it--professional in every way. Apparently my mother was so happy with the process that she added items and Will was flexible and generous. They even helped move furniture that was staying behind. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

NYC Strong Haulers Review…read more Clearing out my childhood home after my mom passed away was one of the most emotional projects I've ever taken on. My parents had lived there for over 50 years, so this wasn't just a junk removal job--it was saying goodbye to a lifetime of memories. Edgar came out the next day after I called to give me an estimate, and what impressed me most was his honesty and transparency. He provided a detailed written quote up front, including both the hauling costs and the dumping fees, so I knew exactly what to expect. Other companies I contacted gave only vague estimates and wouldn't put anything in writing. You should understand that junk removal isn't just about the number of truckloads--dumping fees are another part of the cost. I appreciated knowing all of the expenses beforehand so there were no surprises. That's ultimately why I chose Edgar and NYC Strong Haulers. Maybe another company would have been cheaper--I honestly don't know, because none of the others would commit to an actual quote. From start to finish, Edgar was incredibly responsive, and he and his team worked efficiently and professionally. What stood out most, though, was the way they treated our home and our family. My husband remarked that they carried themselves with the quiet respect and professionalism of a funeral service team. They understood that this wasn't just hauling away belongings; they were helping a family through a difficult transition. They are hardworking, kind, and genuinely good people. I'm grateful for the care they showed during such an emotional time, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend NYC Strong Haulers to anyone facing a major cleanout.

The owner Chris asked for a pic and specs of the unit, then promptly sent me a reasonable estimate; we set up a time via text. JDR confirmed our appointment the day before which I appreciated. Chris and his associate Mike showed up a bit early (great!) and did a wonderful job on what turned out to be a complicated task. It took a lot of maneuvering to get the old unit disassembled and removed, but the guys worked diligently and got it done. Since I hadn't been able to clean behind the old unit for over 20 years you can well imagine the huge dust bunnies left behind! Mike was nice enough to sweep that up without my asking, excellent service all around. So if you need stuff removed, skip the costly national franchises and call the nice local guys at Junk Done Right. I'm glad I did.
