For anyone who is familiar with 'Shawarma' ( a type of a of real meat doner instead of the usual processed dogmeat you get on a friday night in town). Lamb or Chicken- both the real deal, although Lamb is the most traditonal throughout the middle east and in my opinion the best, the Kofte is good also.
All these are sandwiched within a freshly made naan (made in a real tandoori oven), salad and sauces, all made in front of you.
This is a doner you can actually eat in the day and you will keep going back. They also do Lamb Shish, Chicken Shish, felafel (V) and burgers etc.
Although for health reasons (saturated fat) I would recommend as a once a week (max) type of eat. But what an eat!!
I would say its less fatty than the Shawarma's at Maroush (edgeware rd) and probably one of only 2 or 3 in Sheffield that are worth having.
The premises are quite basic, its a takeaway with a few tables, but roomy. Prices are very reasonable and it is good value for money. I would recommend this place to students- for £2.50 you can get a freshly made Shawarma that will keep you going for hours. read more
