I purchased a stove from Shays. all the appliances in my home are from there. I use them because they service what they sell.Howe this last stove has been a lemon. it has a short in it somewhere and they keep telling me it's bugs getting in it. i paid 1500 and had it one month before the first element went out. I waited 6 weeks to receive my stove then waited for them to look at it then order the part then finally put it in. this is the fourth time they have been here for the same issue. now three of the four elements are out. again according to the repair man caused by bugs. read more

Between an unexpected washing machine failure, building a new house and needing all new appliances, and helping my parents shop for appliances for their home, I've done a decent amount of business with Shay's in the last year. Brendan has been upfront on his preferences and opinions on products when asked and carries products he knows that will last or can be easily fixed if something goes wrong. He actually beat Lowe's/Home Depot pricing during one of their big sales and their in-stock items weren't quite as nice as what I ended up with from Shay's. Delivery has been prompt (dishwasher was at the house less than 3 hours after purchase) and professional. When a part on my new range was missing after installation they ordered a replacement and got it to me quickly without any hassle. Although I always prefer to support a local business, my experience has been that Shay's offers a better product, with better support, at the same (or sometimes even better) price. read more

Customer service is not what it use to be! I bought fridge in February, had a problem with the door, got a new door, another problem with that door, it is now October and still waiting for a new door. I understand there are problems at the factory and such but when you call up there, they could explain to you what the problem is instead of just saying it's on its way very rude and uncaring. They need to get someone in there that knows how to answer your phone politely. read more

I recently called Shays for repair on a refrigerator purchased at their store. The ice and water maker was not working. I spoke with Karen in the parts department and she suggested the water valve had probably gone bad. I actually wanted Shays to fix the refrigerator but got the feeling that Shays would prefer that the homeowner do the repair. There was no warranty issues involved due the age of the refrigerator. Shays carried the part that Karen suggested and I purchased the part from Shays. When I pulled the refrigerator out from the wall I noticed a kink in the water supply line and wouldn't you know it that was the problem. I took the part (water valve) back to Shays and as I was explaining the problem, Karen began pointing at a sign on the counter saying no return on parts. Now this was a part still in the box. She suggested it could fix the problem and she refused to accept the return. I did not argue. I left the store in disbelief. I am a retired home contractor, referring many people to Shays, back when Kelly ran the store. One of my best customers allowed me to purchase all of the appliances for homes I renovated for them I always purchased the appliances from Shays. I have lived long enough to know things do break down. Does not matter what brand you buy. However how the dealer handles the repair of the product sold to their customers in my opinion is the more important issue . I admit I am very unhappy with my Electrolux Refrigerator and I will let everyone I know don't waste your good earned money on their stuff, and never buy from Shays Appliance I will tell you of my last dealing with them below as I have had several since I bought this appliance from them but this last one tells you their true behavior and beliefs on CUSTOMER SERVICE. Electrolux Model number EI28BS65KS4 Serial number 4a30211011 January 2017 we noticed the plastic wrapping around the freezer door on top had a crack along the door. We went into Shay's Appliance and told our sales persons about the crack and showed him on a floor model where the crack was, he told us he would get the freezer door ordered and call us. March 6 2017 After no calls for two months I took a Video on my phone and went back down and again talked to my sales person and now showed him the video I had taken, the crack now is over half way across the freezer door, He said sorry don't know what happened I promise I personally will get this door ordered. After several weeks of no contact from Shay's Appliance and with all the past dealings of their poor customer service, I let it go. My Refrigerator was working and I could live with this crack I just told myself never would I buy anything from them again and at that time decided not to post any bad reviews. January 9th 2018 we noticed the top Ice maker was not working. I changed the water filter, read the manual followed all recommended fixes waited several days for it to start working and it didnt. January 16th 2018 stopped into Shay's Appliance service department and talked to the lady behind the desk explained the problem with the ice maker and told her about the door issue and how we were not happy with them because the door issue is over a year old now. She set up a appointment with a tech for January 18th to come out and see what was up. She also said she would look into the door issue. January 18th no call ,no show from the Tech. Called shays at 4pm parts lady told us at first she was going to check on why he never showed up. She called back and said the Tech ordered a part not even looking at the Ice maker and it would be a few days to get it in and he would be out. Never mentioned the door issue. January 23rd. after a few days of no calls from anyone at Shay's Appliance, we called again and spoke to the Lady in the service Department and she said she would check. never called back. January 24th. called the Service Department talked to the lady behind the desk. She told us the part was in and she would make sure the tech would have the part and he would call us today when he was on his way out to make sure we were home. Waited all day and once again no show no call. January 25th no call no show January 26th Have not heard a word from Shay's Appliance as of this posting. Very poor customer service. Would not return a $75 part that didn't fit. I'd recommend going literally anywhere else.

The sales people at this store are very knowledgable and nice. The delivery and installation employees from this place that handled my stove, fridge, microwave, washer and dryer this guys were not professional at all. After the installation of my appliances there were scratches on my floors and counter tops and none of them were leveled or balanced, when i called them out on this they had all kinds excuses as to why this wasn't done. when they come back to level and balance these items one of these guys brought in a bubble out of a level and said it was fine. So if one chooses this place to shop at expect excellent sales service but if you get the same installers I got expect excuses. read more

When we built our home 10 years ago, we bought our appliances from Shay's, Mr. Shay was great, he showed up the upper price range, the mid range and the scratch and dent, we brought from all three. Have told everyone one how great he was, went back a few months ago, no one asked if they could help. I just thought well, an off day, and I was just looking, was in Mountain Home 2 weeks ago, in need of dishwasher, and refrigerator, I went in just to check the prices, so I pick a dishwasher that was priced at $699. Was going to come back when I had more time. Received a flyer in mail Shay's was have a big sale, so we went ready to buy, went straight to dish washer I had checked 2 week earlier, still price at $699., thought hey, plus will be less with sale, so waited till I could talk to some, and when she looked said it was priced wrong it was $799, that price had been on it for 2 weeks, didn't really like that, but well could be true, so then found another one, ask price she said $635, then said no it was $699, I asked what it would be with discount and sale, she went to her lap top was looking and said with discount it was $860 I said that was going in wrong direction, she didn't really answer, ask if they had any scratch and dents as it stated in flyer they were also on sale, she immediately said no, I said noting and she said no nothing, so I asked my husband is time to go to Sears or some where else. I am a first time customer with Shay's Appliances and so far very pleased. I was referred to them because I was needing a new stove. We have always purchased appliances at Lowe's but they do not install propane stoves. Finding someone who does was a challenge but when I required about this at Shay's they do install. When I walked in the door, I was immediately greeted and he began to assist me and then was turned to someone who had more knowledge with the ranges. They had the one I decided on in stock and was delivered the next day. We are 1 1/2 hrs from them. The moving out our old range and bringing in the new one was somewhat of a challenge for the delivery man but he did it without damage to the range or my deck and kitchen floors. Kuddos to him! He was polite, clean and made sure the range was level and safe to use. I would recommend Shay's to others. Great customer service. I hope if any issues occur with my range in the future, they will stand by their product. read more

I have been looking for a part for my stove to change it from natural to propane. I went into Shays the first time and the older lady that works there was rude. She didn't help us at all and got snappy because we didn't have the model number. The second time we called ahead of time. The guy said he would call us back. He took forever to call back so I called again. We got the same snappy old lady. She said no one was there in the parts department and that the guy just left. The guy finally called us back and said they discontinued our stove and you couldn't find the orifice we needed. I went home and with in 20 minutes found the part we needed online. Service stinks!! I made an appointment to have my washer and dryer fixed. They could not get them in for a week. I took them in and they would not even help to unload it. 2years ago we purchased a washer and dryer from Shay's, we were told at the time not to send in the manufacturer warranty because the store did an extended 5 year one that was the same. We could have gotten these appliances cheaper but went with them because what we were told. Had problems with the washer the first year which they fixed at no charge, but when more electronic problems surfaced the following year it was a different story. Now I was told they only covered the drive and no electronics and for that to be covered I should have BOUGHT the extended policy. Nothing was said about that at the time of purchase. Went there to get parts to fix my dryer and she was very nice and wanted to actually put her hands on the part to make sure she had it before we drove there. After getting there she tested our old part without even being asked. It's been along time since I've seen customer service this well without even being from their town or knowing anyone or even buying from there before. I have purchased 2 appliances here and both were damaged by the delivery guys.when they delivered the second appliance ( a fridge) they called me out to see where the side was dented while it was still on the truck.We saved for 5 yrs for the fridge ,got up at 5 am that morning cleaning out the old one and putting food in coolers etc.excieted to finally get the new fridge.When I went out to look at the dent( on the side of the fridge where it would show ) ..I decided to decline it.They called the owner and the owner offered me a 100 dollar discount for the dent or wait a week for another one .I choose to wait a week.The owner called back an hr later and said that he was not able to order me another one and wanted to refund my money and I said ok.I wont be back.Had I been the owner.I would have offered a discount toward another one or something Not even an apology from the owner.The delivery guys did say sorry..The same day I went to another store found the same fridge for a 100 bucks cheaper,a bit better quality too!!!
