After he tried to scare me into having a c-section but I disagreed with him because there was no medical reason for it. My son and I were both healthy. He disregarded my birth plan completely and was very insensitive when my epidural didn't take the first time. He acted as though he didn't believe me. Kumar made me wait an additional two hours to have the epidural redone and during this time the nurses still put in the catheter and were surprised that I could still feel everything. When it came time for me to push, he performed an episiotomy without my informed consent. I would have said no. I had no knowledge of what had happened until after I began hemorrhaging badly because of it. I do not wish for any woman to be treated like Dr. Kumar treated me.

Now I pay for insurance through my employer and I pay over 400 a month to cover all 3 of my minor children. I even called BCBS who talked to office staff and told them my kids were covered under my plan and they still said "it's showing up as invalid on our end" I was so damn mad it took every ounce of my common sense not to act a fool up in there. Office staff is incompetent and needs to find a different place to work. Like family dollar instead of a family practice.

MSPTC also helped me, over a two-year period of fighting with my insurance, to get a spinal cord stimulator that has been very effective in helping to manage my pain. Nursing staff are responsive to calls and check-in/out is usually well-handled. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is due to the one time I was seen by Cheryl, an NP (the red-haired one, not the younger one). She was aggressively rude, condescending, and made me feel about 5 inches tall when I was only there to have my required monthly checkup. She clearly thought I was drug-seeking and repeatedly accused me of lying about my other prescriptions. I would've thought that of all places, a pain treatment center would understand what you have to go through to get medicine and not treat you like a criminal. Not her. More probation officer than nurse practitioner.

This place is a joke. You literally cannot call & make an appointment. They have an automated…read moresystem. If you ask to speak to a person you wait on hold forever. Then the call will either disconnect or you can leave a message that is never returned. If you choose an automated appointment time & go in you'll wait no less than 45 minutes PAST your appointment time before you're called back. This clinic is horrific.
