The food was phenomenal as well. We started with hummus that was served with a nice amount of pita bread. It was rich and creamy and balanced nicely with the olive oil drizzled in the center. I ordered the Mojito, which was delicious and refreshing on a hot Florida day. As my main dish, I ordered the beef platter with my sides of Greek salad and Angel rice. I was very impressed with the tenderness of the beef and the flavor of everything. We ended the afternoon with baklava. I enjoyed the flaky texture and crunch of the pistachios. My parents and grandparents are regulars here so during a trip to Miami I joined them for their dinner. The food is good and very fresh. We had the veggie platter to share as an appetizer. They were out of falafel for it but they comped us with some extra grape leaves. The tabluleh was actually amazing. I don't like it but I couldn't stop eating it. So good. We also had the foul mudammas to share. For my entree I had the chicken shawarma with spicy rice and salad. The rice definitely had a kick. The chicken was juicy. I really enjoyed the salad. Don't expect much ambiance here. Food is good and reasonably priced. However, on a Sunday evening they were out of a lot of items. They're closed Monday's so come when it's not the very end of the weekend.

It's locally owned and operated and I believe the owner was in the kitchen cooking the night I was there. Shrimp Santorini - Shrimp in a Mediterranean sauce and served with sautéed spinach and Rice - Combo Shawarma Platter - Chicken and Gyro served with tomatoes, cucumber, rice and Hummus. Lets start with the Hummus - fabulous! Fresh and a nice add-on with the meat. The Gyro was excellent. It was a nice slow roasted blend of lamb and beef. There was more than enough food and we even got to take some of the Shawarma home for lunch the next day. This was a nice find, I wish it was closer to home.

The staff helped me find what I needed. They had the dry kataifi, roasted kataifi and frozen kataifi. I told them I wanted it for the Dubai Chocolate and said I could use any of them but the roasted kataifi was probably best option to keep it simple. It cost $8.49. The market itself reminds me of small Asian markets. I was in a hurry but I want to come back and really look around. They also sell pistachio spread here too but I already bought that so didn't need it. After I paid and, on my way out, I immediately noticed the viral Propitious Ice Cream in the refrigerated section. OH. EM. GEEEEEEE!!! Been looking for this everywhere. They had so many different flavors options including mango, peach, refreshing lemon, summer lemon and the blue one is a milk flavored ice cream filled with yellow peach jam. I was so excited to find this close by but also couldn't buy any since I was running around. I will be back for these!!! "Propitious Ice Cream, also known as "the viral ice cream", is a Chinese frozen dessert that comes in fruit-shaped popsicles of mango, peach, and lemon. The popsicles have become a social media sensation, with TikTok users documenting their months-long searches for the product. The ice cream's rarity and premium price, ranging from $7-$11.99 per popsicle, contribute to its mystique."

I was also looking for a couple of specific things that I haven't been able to find since Caspian Grill closed. The store was pretty much what I expected. A few aisles of shelves stacked to the top with a variety of items. Let's face it. Middle East is a large area with many countries, each with its own unique spices and dishes, and so it is a huge undertaking to try and satisfy everyone, but for the most part, they succeeded. Given the people who were shopping there at the time, I would say that the authenticity of the store was greatly appreciated. I ended up not finding the Persian items I was looking for, but that's ok, instead I got a Turkish item. They also serve food at the store, which is nice because after walking along the aisles of food items, you start craving a Middle Eastern treat. I saw a vertically roasted meat and I knew what I wanted, but i didn't see a menu and when I was asked what I wanted, I wasn't sure if they were serving Gyro, Doner, or Shawarma, and not wanting to offend anyone, I asked for a meat wrap. It worked and I ended up with a Shawarma, which made the whole experience worthwhile.

Service was attentive and polite throughout the whole night. Ambiance-wise, the restaurant is lovely with soft lighting, plants for decor, and entertaining music. That being said, we discovered that on Saturday nights, they have a belly dancer and the music got pretty loud during the performances, making it difficult to hold a conversation during those times. We ordered the hummus with beef tips and Lebanese cheese rolls as appetizers, both of which were pretty good although nothing to write home about. As entrees we shared a Siro-cca salad and the Sirocco grill for one. This was plenty of food for 2 people. I believe the salad may have been missing the balsamic glaze but didn't realize it until after eating the whole salad - it was still good. The rice was yummy and the steak and chicken skewers were very soft and flavorful. Overall, a very nice restaurant!
