If you like Shawarma, this place is definitely worth the visit. They offer a variety of options, from sandwiches to salad bowls. For those looking to go all out, there's also poutine and Macncheese ;-) I have been here a bunch of times and tried their Saj beef shawarma wrap, bowl and baguette and the winner for me is definitely the baguette and saj shawarma wrap. Price point is a bit higher than Amir and Boustan but portions are bigger. You can personalize your sandwich with a variety of toppings and sauces. Staff is friendly but the service is on the slow side. There have been instances where I has to wait 30-40 min which is too long for fast food and hopefully they'll work on being more efficient. I've heard a lot of good things about this location downtown, the food always looks appetizing and the pictures posted on social media are stunnning. If you are looking for lebanese style fast food, in the likes of Amir or Boustan, Shawarmaz will deliver a similar experience but with a bit more funk. They have awesome poutine creations, "sushi" style wraps and large portions of food, presented beautifully on modern plates if you are dining in. We opted for a magique poutine and mixed meat platter, served with your choice of sides. The salads were fresh and flavorful, the meats were tasty and the sesame sauce was delicious. However, for basics like garlic potatoes or garlic sauce, these were underwhelming in flavor. Just not seasoned enough and rather bland. The problem with these kinds of counters is that you never know how fresh the food is. While my poutine was being made, I saw an employee dump a fresh batch of potatoes into the serving area, so whoever was right behind me probably got much better tasting potatoes than my share. The food is prepared infront of you, just like at Amir/Boustan/Subway so at least before ordering you can get a feel of whether it looks appetizing or not. Not sure Shawarmaz won me over their competition, however it's a tasty option and worth trying if you are in the area. I am so glad they are finally in Laval and even better a very short time walk from home. Say hello to the best late night food ever. Had a chicken pita and a magic poutine last night and it was heaven. So fresh and very tasty but to be honest I wasn't expecting less from these guys. The place is new, very clean and well decorated. Very open ans still cozy at the same time if you decide to eat there. The very was fairly quick and they guys working there where super friendly. Very happy all around that I no longer have to go to MTL again because another one of my favourite is right here in town. Will be going often so I can try a few more things on the menu! read more

It's insanely busy... a good sign! The place was packed di we opted for takeout. Ordering takes some time as it is VERY busy. Excellent sharma and super efficient and friendly preparation staff. Meat was thinly sliced to perfection and well seasoned. I wi s h I had ordered the chicken as ND beef c imbi to try out the chicken, bit the beef was excellent. The plate included two salads, and I had the pickled beets and tabouli. VERY generous portions. I also ordered a side salad with a mix of vegetables and pickled mushrooms. Being always on the run makes it hard to eat healthy. I prefer these types of restaurants over burger joints. They are located across from Adonis in Laval. Clean modern dining area. They offer the traditional options of chicken or beef on a spit. The options of toppings on the pita with meat were fresh and abondant. They have two pita size options which is cool. I first heard of this place when I saw their poutine submission for Poutine Week a few years back, when fellow yelpers posted about their new Laval location, it was time to give it a try. I love how they give a fresh take to your typical Lebanese fast food. It really sets this chain apart from the typical Amir's and Basha's. We visited on a Sunday evening at 8 and the place was surprisingly packed. Although the line up was long, it moved along very well so bonus points for that. We tried the combo poutine magique and the beef and chicken sushi shawarma. Both were delicious, and the visual presentation was great as well (explains why my husband got to the food before I could even get a pic). Looking forward to trying some of their other options but this place will no doubt become a regular food option for us! read more

Rammed with a full line on Friday and wasn't slowing down any time soon post midnight left me with high expectations and excitement but all I got was jebaited. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate w rice potatoes and mac salad. I got back to my hotel room and realized I had no cutlery or napkins which was pretty inconvenient cause It was like 1am lol. Anyways after I sorted out some makeshift cutlery i came to reaalize that the chicken was beyond dry ; by no means it was old cause of how busy it was so this was surprising. The rice also was .. stale ? The saving grace was the potatoes, which were fried and well seasoned oh and of course garlic sauce. The mac salad had olives which I found weird so I'll just leave that out since I hate olives lmfaao. Euro Shawarma in Toronto still reigns the kingpin of shawarma styyyyyll. A lot of peoples got beef so maybe next time I come to Mtl Laval; I'll give that a go read more

The special poutine was one of a kind. Took the small portion (They have a small and a large one) and it was more than enough. It's a new good twist on the good old poutine. It tasted great and it's about 30$ for 2 "small" ones with 1 drink on the side. Really good and a must try's in Laval. read more

So disappointed to be writing this review because I was really looking forward to trying a new shawarma especially so close to home. Me and my girl have this tradition of either going out or in recent times ordering in on Friday night and we decided tonight was the night to try something new. We made up our minds fairly late and we're happy to see that Shawarmaz was open late and available for delivery. We were excited to see that there was options that were also on the healthier side. Shawarmaz offers a salad plate which means you get that yummy chicken or meat without the guilt of the rice and potatoes we also saw there was the option to get a large size and thought we deafly be filled eating all that. Of course we also had to get a side of falafel's to see how they did them here and a small side of potatoes too. After patiently waiting For our delivery driver to drop off the food we opened up our bags and saw two massive plates of the chicken salad and our falafel's I was disappointed to see that the potatoes were missing but honestly it happens so we weren't too worried and we're ready to dig into our salads. My girlfriend doesn't particularly enjoy tomatoes so as we open up our plates she usually does she digs out the tomatoes from the dish and handsome over to me. While doing this she picked up what she thought was a piece of tomato and quickly realized it was a chunk of completely raw chicken. This was so disappointing because from the couple of bites that we did have a Food seemed great however once finding this in our Food our appetites quickly perished. We are hoping that this was a one off time for the restaurant and perhaps will be able to try more food from here but for the moment we're having a hard time. Man this is good. I usually don't really like eating Pitas outside because they often arrive all wet with the sauce trickling from the bag, often on your jeans or your new pair of shoes, or on your laptop's keyboard or On your xbox controller - ok this doesn't make sense, I eat on a table, but you get my point. They are extremely generous with the quantity, of course you pay for that quantity but some restaurants often are generous in the beginning and then become entitled and arrogant and cheap and start giving smaller portions over time. Not this one, day 1 until day 176 - I did not actually count, the quantity has been the same, very halal way of operating a business, food is halal AND finances are halal, I like that. Had a beef poutine magique. As you can see in the pic, they put effort on the presentation of their food. As people say, eyes eat before the mouth. The place is new so it's clean and well organized. The poutine tasted very good. But to be honest, Bostan's poutine taste better. I feel like the meat is more tender and the poutine is more juicy. One of best shawarma sandwiches i had for a while. Great service, even though the restaurant was full, we were served with a smile, took the meat as well as the chicken big sandwiches. Traditional lebanese village thin pita bread with the right texture and taste , the sandwiches were full of meat , the right amount of condiments; and oh the home made spicy sauce , hot as i like it. The sandwiches are of very good size and good quality to price ratio. My favourite was the meat , but the x Chicken was also tasty. Next time i will try the soujouk one.
