Called to get information and I can not believe how rude Ashalyn was. This was after my first initial message where I did not receive a call back. Kept cutting me off. When I told her I would make a decision tomorrow or the next day she said "well I won't be answering my phone tomorrow". She indicated she would not be available the date I was seeking and offered two other guides. When I asked if I could speak with them directly to get a feel for their vibe she straight out said "no". When I asked what the deposit was she said 30% non-refundable but you can use for another date or buy my book. Really? I don't want your book!! I see other negative reviews regarding her and I can see why. Horrible customer service skills. I would not seek a "spiritual tour" from her EVER!!! read more

In August for the Lion's Gate I was guided to go to Mount Shasta. I chose to experience the full day vision quest with Garth Sky Walker as my guide. He MADE the experience what it was - better than expected. Garth blends his Native American roots and understandings with metaphysical/spiritual knowledge. He openly shares history of the area and indigenous knowledge. He cares for the land, animals and plants as well as the sacredness of Mount Shasta. He is highly intuitive and tapped into Spirit. We had a really spiritual experience with Garth Sky Walker. He took us to many spots on the mountain we simply would not have known of and we got to experience the energies of the mountain. He was even able to spot some natural essential oils oozing from one of the trees out there which smelled amazing!!!!!!!!! My fiancée and I had been on a cross-country trip for 2 weeks when we stumbled into Mt. Shasta. This was the first town we decided to stay two nights in, and Vortex was the first business we spent more than $100 at. Worth it. We didn't know what to expect when we entered the office, which was dark and had shades covering the windows. We knocked and were asked to enter by a woman's voice, Ashalyn. We asked if she was able to do any tours the following day. She explained that she was not, but her partner might be. After a few moments of anticipation, she got a text from Garth Skywalker confirming his availability. Ashalyn asked our intentions for the tour. We didn't really know. Site seeing? Or something more? Both my fiancée and I are open to the mystical, meditation, etc., which is not a necessity for this adventure, but openness will definitely add to your experience. Our tour began at 10am the following morning. Garth met us at the office, and was an immediate pleasure. His knowledge of the area, the ways of the ancients, the animals and the fauna were astonishing. He told stories, asked questions, and was noticeably sincere the entire time. After showing us sites we never would have seen without Garth as a guide and experiencing energy that cannot be explained in a Yelp review, we said our goodbyes. I wish I had something positive to say about my one hour "Shamanic Healing" session with Ashalyn but unfortunately I do not. My experience started with me waking her from a nap for our scheduled reading. Then we begin the session which really was a guided meditation-not a reading at all. Due to her recent nap she yawned throughout the entire hour and at times was very short and almost sarcastic. In addition coincidentally only 12 minutes of my session was taped. Our guide, Ashlyn, was awesome! She had everything dialed in from the beginning. She did a meditation half way up the mountain that totally grounded us.
