Let me first say that before I even saw him I was very happy with his staff. It's an extremely busy office but they are so courteous and sweet. Both times I visited, the nurses were absolutely fantastic. They talked to you like a human being and not just another body taking up space. The staff at the desk were so friendly. Dr. Lefkowitz is really great. Very knowledgeable. Despite a very busy waiting room, he took his time talking to me. Was very friendly. The only complaint I have is that this office isn't closer to me because Southern State Parkway traffic is awful, ha ha. If anyone needs to pop into a urologist for any reason, I would one million percent recommend this office.

Just saying. However, the staff at the desk are friendly and the check in process is quick and efficient since it is completed on an iPad apparatus. Some of the other incoming new patients had a difficult time with it, so since I am an educator, I helped a few people out. I will count it as my paying it forward on a day when I was off from school and always happy to help people, especially those who are older. God bless them.

It continued to go downhill from there when Mr.Pike entered the examination room and never introduced himself to me. Which I found totally unprofessional. I was tempted on leaving during his interview, because he was talking into a microphone the entirety of his interview of me. I have never witnessed this process from a professional before. Who does that? Finally he gets up from his chair and says ok it's time for your examination. Yeah right he thought that he was going to examined me, I refused and he took offense to my refusal. So he sat back down and began talking into the microphone again. Unbelievably unprofessional and to top it all off when I tried to check out with the receptionist in the front, she was not there. I waited ten minutes for her and I left when she never returned.

We had a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE with this office!!!! In May of…read more2018 my 83-year-old father had an appt for a scope procedure and discussion with doctor re possible procedure needed. As we waited extremely long for our turn my father began looking more and more fatigued and ill. The PA, Dr. Heimbauer, took him in for scope for approx. ten minutes. Came out and said he couldn't see anything, too cloudy. At this point my father was almost falling over in his wheelchair. We knew something was wrong. Asked to see doctor. PA told us they were too busy, to make an appointment. We reiterated we needed to see doctor and he completely blew us off, "Sorry, we are too busy today." I walked OUTSIDE the office with my father and as my mother held him up in the wheelchair because he couldn't even sit up, I called 911. We had to wait for an ambulance OUTSIDE of their office because the doctor would NOT SEE US and ,lo and behold, nobody in this "UROLOGIST's" office could be bothered to do a test during my father's SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT or even take the time to examine him and figure out that my father had a very bad UTI, URINARY TRACT INFECTION!!!!! And guess what, this company is a MONOPOLY on Long Island!! Almost all of the urologists on the internet belong to one of these centers. Don't walk away, run!!!
