    staff unbearable DR Excleelent Faiella this is NOT about DR Faiela…read more The absimal staff I am a patient of Dr Faiela which practises at Garden City West On June 19 I had an appointment with Dr Faiela . IU came an hour late and the staff refused to have me see any member of medical staff including a pa I Instead I was given an appointment six month later . Meanwhile I had a PSA test which at the time did not know the result to date . I have asked for a call back from the office manager Phil and Dr Faiela . Neither have called me back .. Fast Forward, I had to cancel this later appointment . The latest one Was for today 11 18 24 at 145 with a confirmation of a text for 145 Pm . I showed up at 145 on time I was told I was late and I would NOT be seeing Dr Faiel as . Mind you I had the confirmation of the appointment on my phone The secretary brushed it of and told me she had nothing to with it and had to talk to the office manager . Dr Phil. Well Phil his eminency doesn't come out and keeps me waiting . Yes I became Irate and I thjing for a good reason I was told by the secretary I could go in I was told by the other secretary or whatever she is "to siit down " . Well I asked tpo speak with eminency DR Phil and was told he will talking to me later . Mind you this is the guy that doesn't return messages and calls,When I became Irate as sand subjected to so much humiliation and yes this behaviour exceeded all the tolerant limits of a human being . . He asked the staff (Yes Dr Phil the office manager ) to call the Police 911 . No human or inhuman being should be subject with the threat of an arresst for seeking medical care . No human SHOULD BE SUBJECTED TO SUCH ABUSE You are my fist complain stop , Mind you every time I show up I had to take time off from work , No patient should end up in prison as he seeks medical a attention . Since this threats ansd was told I would not be seen the doctor zI was threatened with arrest I left again without seeing a doctot getting the PSA eval reasukt Yous hould know how your staff traetes patients .     His offices reflect the amount of clients they serve and the scope of NYU Winthrop in their growing…read morecorporate pharm/medical expansion. He was informative, was patient though hurried when our initial consultation took place. He hooked us into two little books with promotional informative info on 2 different methods to alleviate prostrate issues that older men seem to have. I wonder why the medical profession is clueless on why or how to prevent prostrate issues in the first place but then the money is in the procedures isn't it? We opted for Rezum (catchy marketing name) which is a thermal blast in lieu of implant that Urolift provides in the Treatment for BPH vs Or Treatment of Enlarged Próstata Symptoms. So symptoms here are the key word not cause or cure. The doctor was effective at explaining what to expect and in doing the thermal blast and as we wait here to remove catheter we have yet to know if it will be effective itself. Schiff informed us on Thursday, the day of procedure, that he would be on vacation for the following Monday when the catheter would be removed. However being Presidents Day meant he had it in for a whole extra day. This meant nothing to the Doc or staff and everything to the patient. Had we known we would have opted for another date convenient to the patient. Here we are on Tuesday and the PA is explaining all the next days/weeks of adverse reactions or effects of procedure. Blood, clots being released in steam and frequent even urgency to urinate. This they explain after you have the procedure so you don't back out I assume. I can hear the nurse inside now asking him what procedure he had and am concerned she doesn't know it as she tests his bladder by filling it with water and having him pass that water on his own. I just keep thinking yo myself: the Doctor should be here for a man of his clients age and that in the least have called him to see how he is doing. I'm fortunate to be practicing healing modalities and as a health coach o know the healing foods that support the kidney, bladder and urinary tract. This I feel is critical beyond the 5 minutes the doc is with the procedure it's the healing that is critical as well. The doc nor anyone else informed the client that the body is best healed by following certain healing protocols. It's not bedside manner it's showing a client that you are not a factory producing money for the medical industry and that your client matters. But the future of health care is shifting and there will be this kind of practice where a client can choose between factory style disease maintenance or human approach to health care and repair. That said, the staff - except for front reception- were wonderful. The PA Julane gave us all the info we needed (what to expect) to focus on his body's recovery from the procedure. I used Reiki, Crystal Healing, a dedicated group healing for him and sound baths and I'm confident these modalities and clean diet have made this a procedure without incident. The PA was tuned into this and appreciated our approach. I do hope the doc enjoyed his vacay while his client pained an extra day with the damn catheter. To be continued....
