If I could give zero stars, I would. Carlos (Sharscottyy Plumbing's owner) was called on Tuesday 9th in the afternoon to fix a backflow leak on the outside of my business. The way the plumbing is set up at our place is two backflows from separate business in the same area (something we didn't know at the moment). Regardless, we saw tons of water and assumed it was ours and called him up. He came in a few hours for an "emergency fix". He was asked if he needed to check anything on the inside and he said that he didn't that everything could be done outside. That being said he shut off the water of "our" place but we didn't lose water. Which should've been the first red flag but he was the professional and that's why we called him. He finished doing the "emergency fix" and proceeded to tell me that I could stay with that for an indefinite amount of time and that I shouldn't have any issues which I trusted because, again, he's supposed to be a professional. This came out to $195.
Fast forward to Thursday 11th, he shows up to my business wanting to speak to me to let me know the "emergency fix" he did was ILLEGAL and that HE and I could get in a lot of trouble. And that the actual fix was going to come out to an additional $700. What type of professional plumber does this or doesn't know what's legal and not? The whole things was completely ridiculous.
At this point I didn't want to risk any issues or fines from the county so we decided to go ahead with it. After everything is done and he is payed, he then tells us that we need to talk to the property manager because he "thinks" the backflow he just fixed controls the water at the restaurant next to us and that we must pay for their water. In what world does that even make sense? We told him that there's no way that's happening since everyone has their own backflow plumbing. He then proceeds to tell us to turn off the valve and check if we still have water (this was done over the phone). When we say yes he said that the backflow must be the RESTAURANTS' then.
To say we were furious is an understatement. We just fixed another business problem because of this unprofessional couldn't check wether the backflow belonged to us or not. When confronted, he even admitted that he didn't do it and was HIS mistake! To then try to blame it on us because we called him. He was the supposed "professional". That's part of his job! We know nothing about plumbing, that's why we called you in the first place!
Definitely should not have a license if he can't differentiate from what's legal or not and can't make sure if a plumbing issue belongs to that person or not. Worst experience ever. read more
