The first thing one notices is that the office doesn't resemble the typical medical office. Instead of industrial carpet and uncomfortable, standard-issue chairs found in most waiting rooms, Dr. Darby's has wood floors (okay, it's laminate) and plush lounge chairs. If it weren't for the frames and sunglasses, it could be Starbuck's. In fact, one of the assistants inquired whether I'd like coffee. The affable assistants efficiently capture and update patient histories and sort through insurance benefits. They're chatty and easily engaged in conversation and banter with patients. In contrast, Dr. Darby's office takes a welcome and personal approach that makes the experience both comfortable and enjoyable. Now, if they could just get an espresso maker...

This is unprofessional and poor patient care. I need a new prescription before I can get new contacts and I am on my last pair. For them to cancel without any explanation so close to my appointment date, no option to reschedule to the next available is frustrating. I am going to have to wait however long for the next available appointment with a different practice so I can have contacts to be able to see. Thanks wagoner, good going.
