With so many successful Auto Repairs by Benny's Auto Repair, from our 2008 Tundra, 2006 Altima, 2008 Solara to our 2020 Nautilus we have never had to take any vehicle back for the same issue. Short story: I was emotionally attached to my mom's 2001 Sedan DeVille when she passed away I wanted to have it repaired... Benny, very gently explained the ins & outs of that year model Cadillac which lead to my realization that it wouldn't be practical. (If you read this Benny, thank you!) Others may have let me throw money into the "money pit" but, Benny was upfront and honest with me. Excellent, fast, honest, cost effective service. I highly recommend this Business.

**Review:** I'm very…read moredisappointed with the experience I had at this shop. I called hoping for a professional evaluation and repair, but instead I was told the car wasn't "worth fixing" -- without even attempting to understand my priorities or budget. It's one thing to offer an honest assessment of cost vs. value -- that's part of being a good mechanic. But dismissing a customer's vehicle outright and refusing service felt unprofessional and dismissive. A mechanic's job is to provide options, not decide for me! I hang up feeling disrespected and undervalued as a customer. I would not recommend this place if you're looking for someone who will treat you and your vehicle with fairness and respect. Thanks for nothing....

I'm new to Texas and slowly remodeling the house I bought here. I run a business from home so my home office was high on the list to completely remodel. The last task before the office was done was to find someone to powder coat my steel tanker desk that was given to me by a loved one so it had a lot of sentimental value. I wanted to find the right person who I could trust to see my vision, absorb it, and knock it out of the park. Joe and his team at Texas Truck Performance did exactly that. From the moment I met the entire team, I knew I was in the right place. Joe explained everything I needed to know about the challenging scenarios that could occur with the color I chose.....GOLD. He assured me that he knew exactly what to do to make my vision a reality. When I picked up my desk, I was literally speechless. It was a thing of beauty. A bright Gold steel tanker desk of my dreams. Brought it home, set up my office and I'm in love. Every time I enter the office and even when I walk by and glance in, I smile and silently thank Texas Truck Performance for making my life a little brighter. Would I recommend this business? Oh HELL YES....to everyone I know.

Joe helped me select a color, oyster white, that will not show sand as much as a true white. The powder coated table and chairs have been outside 24/7 here on Galveston Island, and are still in perfect condition. The antique bed frame ought to last at least another 100 years. This type of restoration is not cheap, yet we still consider the work to be a real value. Joe is meticulous, transparent, and has an excellent eye.

This review would've been 1 star had it not been for effort done by these guys to my vehicle. Let's…read morestart at the beginning. I have a 2015 Nissan Altima, and have been having a mass airflow sensor issue for a few months now, I even had it replaced by a friend mechanic back in February 2023, and I thought that would've been the end of my car problems. I was advised to take my vehicle to this little Ma and Pa repair shop in TX City, and thought these guys are experienced; they could fix it. Oh, boy, how wrong was I? Spent about $300 for them to replace the airflow sensor that I had an issue with back in February, only to find out that it worked for one day, and everything went to crap after that. My vehicle started stalling after I stopped at every stop sign, red light, etc. so, my last resort was to take it to the dealership. I open the hood to find a piss poor wiring job done by the shop (the connector for said mass airflow sensor), that even the technician was in shock about, so much so to the point where he almost fainted. The guy who owns the shop said he spent more money and time finding parts, connectors, and any other way they could fix the problem than they did on the actual repair. However, it didn't seem like they did anything more than find wires that hadn't been used in decades, and only ordered crappy after market parts. Thumbs up to them for putting in effort, but not having a car for over a month and still having problems to the point where you have to take it to the dealership won't cut it. I don't advise spending your time and money with these folks.
