Sharp Mower is the company that we use when we need to get our riding mower tuned up, or when something goes wonky with our riding mower. As you might know, riding mowers are big and bulky, and they're not exactly amenable to popping into your car and taking to a store to get repaired. Sharp Mower saves us from having to lug anything anywhere, because they come directly to our home to make all the repairs. (Normally technicians call to say they're running behind) Once he arrived at my house, he confirmed the services I needed done before quickly getting to work. I had a zero turn Hustler rider serviced for its first ever service in the 6-7 years since I bought it, so the blades were pitted like crazy. Tony was the tech who came and his attitude was great. At first I became wary of him because he said our head gasket might need replaced due to some oil deposits. It sounded like a money-grab, but he turned out to be right, and he patiently showed me the parts after he got the engine apart and explained it all to me. He even helped me jump start it. For some reason it wound't start though we had used it 2 days earlier. Had to find my own cables because his company won't let him have some in his trailer. (??) Anyway, the tab was 340$; 125 for the primary service call for tune-up and sharpening, and 180 for the head gasket replacement. Thanks heavens he had one more gasket in his trailer! I consider the 340$ a very good value since I hadn't had any service in all the years I used it. The scheduler was friendly and helpful, too. read more

I called this company about my lawnmower that I purchased new only a year ago. I apparently ran over a piece of wire that got stuck under the blade. This compant came out and pulled it out in 15 seconds however, they skilled charged me $110 dollars fix this simple fix. What about integrity? There was none. read more

I have used sharp mower the last 3 years and had them scheduled for a 4th visit this month. My experience with the company is the woman that answers the phone is friendly, professional, pleasant to speak with and knowledgeable. So far the technicians that have come out to my home seemed competent they are friendly they are professional and they get the job done. I have recommended this company to my father and several of my friends. I would not have used them for years in a row no record them and them to my father if I had any 2nd thought. Just give them a call it beats dragging your mower into the repair shop where it sits in the rain for 3 or 4 weeks until they get to it. read more

Gonna give them all stars! My rider wouldn't move I had to literally push it back to the garage one day. So I was stumped did everything I thought of watched videos on you tube and on the Troy bilt site. Nothing.. it still wouldn't move. It would start and gears and blade worked just fine it just wouldn't move! So I'm thinking it's a drive belt! Well it wasn't! there was nothing wrong with my rider. Tony came out he was on time got on the rider for some unknown reason I have no explanation for it, but it started and would you believe that dang blasted thing MOVED it engaged and off it went! talk about feeling goofy The good news is thank heavens for a company that comes to you! It's rare and ingenious! people with riders don't usually have the means to transport their machines to the shop. Only one company that I know of will pick it up and take it to a shop for you but there are NONE that come to your home to service your mower. So for that I'm grateful. So I'm out of 75.00 for the service call. Hey it happens to the best of us. Sharpmower technician arrived at my house and made me feel like a student learning from the professor! He was so knowledgeable about riding mowers. What amazed me was his reason for coming to my home was to replace the drive belt and sharpen the blades. After examining the parts he advised me that my blades were fine and didn't need sharpening. He then showed me that whoever worked on the riding more previously did not secure the drive belt back in it's proper holes which is the reason the belt kept coming off of the pulley. The tech reattached the belt properly. He then went to their company truck and got an air pump where he tested and added air to the tires. The tech checked the battery, oil, and the emergency brake for any problems. I was so happy that I called Sharpmower to come out to my house and service my riding mower! As I was getting used to a recent purchase of a new Craftsman R110 riding mower, I managed to hit a large tree root and totally bent the blade and did serious damage to the main shaft belt. I shopped around and decided to contact Sharp Mower(Sharpmower.com). I left a message on their answering machine and was surprised (and pleased) to have them call me back within the hour. I explained my problem and a week later they arrived at my residence with a complete portable shop, well lit and with all the usual equipment you might find in a lawn mower shop at a static facility. A diagnosis was made by employee "Tony" and due to time constraints, it was advisable to take the unit back to the shop for a better determination and complete repair. I agreed and within a week the unit was brought back to me (as good as new), and the owner himself delivered the mower. The unit had been totally cleaned and polished, the gas tank was filled, and the owner explained how I had damaged the needed mower...and he advised on how I might avoid doing the same damages again. In fact, I had even managed to bend the metal blade deck cover and when he removed it for the belt replacement, he straightened the cover AT NO CHARGE. This company is located in a small suburb just outside Indianapolis and they still do things "the old fashioned way" where the employees have a serious work ethic and are very respectful of their customers. As a cancer survivor, I only have 1/3 of my lung capacity and while I am still as big as when I was in the army, I tire even lifting small grocery bags...so having this mower fixed in the current heatwave we have been enduring has been a God-send. I would recommend these folks to anybody who wants their mowers fixed or serviced...especially those on a fixed income as my elderly wife and I are. Kudos to Sharpmower.com read more

I called and scheduled an oil change for my lawn tractor that is less than a year old for its 1st time oil change. Nice person on the phone. Easy scheduling within a day and on time service. What no one mentioned nor is it on their web site is a $75 fee for arriving at your home. So my 10 minute oil change just cost me $102. They were unwilling to do anything about it either....unless of course I wanted to spend more money. A new lawn tractor doesn't need a new spark plug, oiled or belts checked. I had an appointment with Sharp-N-Ready to come over to service my riding mower. I called the company to get a ballpark time. The lady said that I was next to last, so I'm looking at around 3-5pm. It wasnt even an hour that the tech, Kevin called to tell me that he'd be there within 15-20 mins! Seeing how I just live 15-20 mins away from where the mower was, worked out fine. When i got there, he was waiting. We introduced ourselves, he got the mower, and he took it from there. It was a rainy day, but his clean trailer worked out well as a moble garage. As he cleaned and serviced the mower, he explained things that will help me to keep up the maintenance on it. When he was finished, he rolled the mower out of the trailer, fired that rascal up, made sure everything was right, rolled it back inside, cleaned up his mess and finished. Kevin was very professional and a nice guy to talk with. I was pleased with his services and will definitely use them again.
