Burford Frames isn't just a historic Porterville business--it's a place where you're greeted with a…read moresmile and can trust you'll walk out with something truly special. After a year of going back and forth, I finally purchased a 1925 fair poster from an antique store in Carmel. It had lived a hard life--literally taped together on the back with masking tape and barely holding on. My original plan was simple: take it to Burford's and get it "framed" to prevent further damage. What I got back was something entirely different. After many conversations, texts, months of care, and yes--investment--I brought home a masterpiece. Erin, Noah, and their family went above and beyond in every way. The level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and genuine care they put into this piece turned it into something I will treasure forever. My investment was priceless--and the value of the work I received was truly exceptional. I didn't just walk away with a preserved poster--I walked away with a piece of art. And it's a great reminder--supporting small businesses like Burford Frames matters. These are the businesses that invest back into our community, show up for people, and keep the character of Porterville alive. Owning a small business here isn't easy, and if we want places like this to be around for the long haul, we have to show up for them too. I simply can't thank them enough. Already looking forward to my next project with Burford Frames. A high value project for priceless history!

The store is in downtown Porterville. It is run by a lovely older couple that could not stay retired. When I dropped off the portrait we ended up having a very nice conversation about all sorts of things, our dogs, health issues, propositions on the ballot for the upcoming election. They ended up having my frame ready the next day, even though I told them there was no rush. The frame is great. It is super high quality and at a reasonable price. If you're in the Porterville area and you need something framed you should patronize this place with your business. One note: they accept cash, checks and debit, but not credit cards. The credit card fees eat into their profits too much.
