This is total b.s ! Our kid performed 20 min earlier than the start time . We would have been in time if we didn't have to walk a mile around the gym just to buy the tickets . Then we get back to the other side thinking we still have 10 minutes left before she goes on and by the time they let you in (because they refuse to when a team is performing) it was our kids team that we just missed! They will not give refund! We paid $15 for parking and $40 for two tickets and drove an hour and 15 minutes away from home to get here (traffic is what made us cut it close and we still thought we were going to make it) and they just said sorry that sucks you missed it no refund. These people obviously do not care about the athletes or the families of the athletes and are only after the money! Not to mention even if we wanted to stay to watch other teams even though we missed our daughter's performance there is nowhere to sit! They should not be charging people $20 a ticket when there is no place to sit even what the hell! read more

I have attended several Sharp competition's. I think that this organization is great! I love and fully support them. However, I am dissatisfied with the fact that they never seem to have a location large enough to host their performers and spectators. I think that once the location reaches its capacity they should no longer allow any other spectators to enter the facility, as this is not fair, because ALL spectators are required to pay substantial amount for admission. read more

NEVER fails Sharp is the worse cheer program EVER! So unorganized. Always runs late. They ask us to be there at a certain time so we can stand in a very, VERY long line. They need to open door before hand for people who need to purchase tickets and for those who have already purchased tickets. JAMZ is way better. This is the LAST time my daughter does this Sharp crap. Although they did get first, please pull it together. So disappointing. read more

Just came back from there Vegas nationals and I got to say even though we got 2nd place on our first ever competition, this was the worst competition ever. There were so many delays, all this place cares about is money! They don't let you film you own child cause they want you to pay $25 for a video of 1 performance that they record. They didn't even let the coach film them. The told him they would deduct point for that. Are u kidding me?? You clearly put profit before the children's talent, then they put FAKE signs on the vending machines saying they are out of order with a security guard next to the different locations to make sure you don't buy from the machines only there own products. Lastly we were supposed to get sweaters as part of our fee that we pay and they sent all the wrong sizes and different kinds of sweatshirts. This will be the last time we come to a competition they host! They could at least put the places in the trophy's or the names. I would give them no stars if I could. Get back to your roots! read more

DO NOT ENTER YOUR KIDS IN SHARP COMPETITIONS!!!!!! Horrible! It's a cheaply-run, unethical, bias program who mostly celebrates the teams with the highest number of entries/spectators and does not treat everyone the same. It's baffling how this program can continue to deceive people. Questionable award results, agenda-driven attempts at hyping up the crowd, disorganized registration: it's all a deceptive attempt at making you, the spectator/competitor spend, spend SPEND on all the frivolous extras, after hooking you with cheap entry fees/rates. You WILL walk away LOSING so much more, including a false sense of what winning a trophy means. No not believe Michael G.: overall, Sharp is NOT professional and is perhaps an inspiration to certain kids but only because PARTICIPATION IS BASED ON FALSE WINS BUILT ON AN INHERENTLY TAINTED JUDGING SYSTEM. They are energetic, but as soon as you question their sincerity, that energy drops and they turn against you (read on). As ignorant was we were, at first Sharp gave us reasons to be generally pleased: My daughter "won" three of their small local competitions held a few years ago and then was invited to their own self-described version of "nationals" in Las Vegas (not a real national competition). She was also asked later to work for them as a clinic instructor, with the unguided opportunity to work immediately with younger kids that summer. This, in spite of the fact that she has ZERO training and admits she would be lost if she had ever stood in front of a class to teach. My daughter is self-trained. She comes from a small and not very competitive program, yet she managed to "win" first place in every single one of their competitions (hmmm). My daughter has never set foot in a dance studio and she explained this, so I don't understand why would invite her teach. And after spending so much money on her entries and experiencing a number of other HMMM moments from the inside (score tampering, judging influence & bias), was disappointed when we saw, first-hand questionable results. We also observed staff favoring other teams and denigrating others: one team was harshly told not to video-tape spectators, then I saw several other team spectators freely videotaping other teams... and the staff allowed it! I also witnessed firsthand staff treating kids badly and whispering under their breath, as if some strange animosity toward their program. When I observe bad treatment of children, RED FLAGS in my head go up! We directed our concerns to other staff who did nothing but look at us in confusion. We also approached their owner, who pretty much ignored us. We trusted Sharp. We do feel like we were played. It's clear that unfair advantages are created for some teams (even off the contest floor), while others need to overcompensate to even up their scores, so to speak. We quietly discovered later that MANY other people who have entered kids in Sharp contests have expressed a number of negative opinions, too numerous to mention. The negative responses seemed to be across the board. It's only when you stop and really look around how the program runs, do you realize how unethical Sharp is. This is a low-grade competition designed to make recipients THINK they won fair/square. DO NOT ALLOW YOUR KIDS TO PARTICIPATE!!!! read more

Just left the Knotts Berry Farm state championships. It was one of the worst run events I have ever seen. They were hours late in the schedule, HOURS! They stopped us from having drinks (even though we saw a ton of people in there with drinks) and we had to sit in the hot theatre forever. The stepped on our teams music. I wouldn't have had a problem if they had been honest with what was really going to happen and we could have made appropriate plans for the other kids in our group who were bored. All around our seats there were people sleeping, and we were right up front. I can only imagine it's terrible for the kids performing to look out in the audience and see tons of people asleep. read more

If it's any indication of how this business is run by who drives their truck, don't expect much. Driving east on the 210 freeway around 10:45 this morning, as I passed the entrance from Baseline onto the freeway a white Super Duty Ford pick up with the business name plastered on it along with the star from the logo was coming down the ramp. The driver didn't accelerate to enter in front of me as I was driving in the right lane at 60mph, and I didn't slow to let him get in front of me, I just continued at 60mph with my cruise control on. As he passed me after he got on the freeway, he flipped me off; classy, but to be expected from someone in a 6,000 pound truck who expected me to move my 25,000 motor home so he could leisurely enter the freeway. Maybe someone could teach him about the physics involved or at least remove the company information from the vehicle. read more
