The atmosphere is inviting, relaxed, and fun, with a few fully-equipped game tables and light refreshments in the back room to pass any waiting time (or for after-haircut amusement). Dan is a warm, friendly individual who is enjoyable to engage in conversation. Well-rounded and gregarious, Dan seems to enjoy his interactions with his customers, and I always leave having learned something. This shop is great for children, teens, and adults, and Dan is very responsive to customer requests. He ensures he is clear on customers' instructions before the first snip, and his styling and service suggestions are always welcome. Dan is also very skilled in trimming and styling facial hair, so a beard trim and clean-up during my haircut make me feel even more put-together. The best part (for me) is that Dan does not take reservations, so I don't have to worry about fitting a previously-made appointment into my schedule. Still, I have never had to wait for more than two people ahead of me. Even better, he welcomes calls from customers who are on their way, so they can join the wait list before arriving. On such occasions, I have never waited longer than just a couple minutes. Don't leave without spending a few extra minutes and a couple extra bucks for a hot towel and shave! Then they opened up a location in Wilkes-Barre and that's where Frank and his family have been cutting my hair. This location is all family now, no one else rents any chairs and does their own thing, it's now just a Lyon thing. I'm only 58 so I have a few more haircuts left in my life and that's where you'll find me.
