It's National Cancer Survivor Day. My hair has been falling out. I scheduled appointments here to celebrate me. They canceled last minute. Very poor business. Would NEVER recommend. Or come back. Which is a shame because they had been serving my entire family. NEVER AGAIN Edited to add: very weird that one of the higher ups for this salon just called me to tell me that one stylist canceled because she had a medical emergency in the salon that morning (what are the chances) and the other moved to Florida. Why are you canceling an appointment I made more than a week in advance because the stylist is in Florida? Did she up and decide to walk there the morning? I was not offered anything to fix the situation. No other stylist. No other day. Don't be calling me because of my reviews. You'll end up here again, as you can see. Very very weird business. For my husband he chose a style from the book the barber cut it dead on and my husband loved that he was personable and gave extra pampering touches like a neck shave, warm steam towel on his face while getting shampooed and to top it off the complimentary beer that was offered. She really took the time to do it right and was super thorough. And she offered to clean it up in 2 weeks time, so my cut will last even longer. Soo used to work at 18/8 men's salon at Marketfair and has brought some of the same relaxing touches with her. Her salon is comfortable and cozy, and very conveniently located. (great sandwhich shop right next door). Soo is prompt and easy to schedule with at a convenient time. In my experience, she is also highly skilled at her craft, and a pleasant person to talk with. My haircut and neck shave came to $45. While not cheap, I nonetheless found it a good value given the time she spent to learn how I like my hair and to clean up my look with great care, as well as her offer to do a refresh to extend the life of my cut in 2 weeks. Plus the hot neck massage and scalp massage. I definitely left relaxed. Highly recommended.

All I get is a message saying that voicemail has not been set up, and then it hangs up on me. Or maybe the phone number needs to be updated? No idea. They're open Mondays when other barbershops are closed is the main reason I give this…read morerecommendation. I personally find them a bit pricier than others. And believe that the Male Rooms price should be lower than it currently is especially for the very short time it takes to cut my hair. Other than that I get a decent haircut there. And the being open on Mondays simply helps.
