Mack has done a great job setting the place up to feel like a classic barbershop. You can tell he takes pride in his work. I went there for the first time in May after trying several barbers in the Scranton area and feeling disappointed every time. I needed to find a good barber before my wedding in June and this was my last chance. I've never had a better experience anywhere. I showed Mack a picture my (then) fiance had picked out and he went to work. I've never felt so confident leaving the barber shop before. I didn't even have to send her a picture to know it was perfect. Honestly, I'll never go anywhere else for a cut as long as I'm in NEPA. By far the most comfortable, friendly barber shop in the area.

The guy who cut my hair had the personality of a rock I tried to make conversation but he wasn't having any of it. And I know he was capable of conversation because the guy in the chair before me bullshited with him for his whole cut but I believe they knew each other. So if your a stranger expect a very quiet hair cut you will most likely not like. I was not happy with mine but he makes you feel so uncomfortable you just want to get the hell out of there. Let me preface this is the 3rd time we have come here and the first 2 times were fine and ny son…read morewas happy so I figured this time would be okay. Today not so much. I will start by saying my son and husband went in for a haircut and they are too polite to say anything themselves and still tipped the stylists for doing the service. I am sorry but if you cannot do a service do not pretend to know what you are doing and service the customer. My son came home with 5 inches of difference in his hair as the entire haircut was done with thinning shears. I never leave bad reviews but I cannot keep my mouth shut on this. They were told they have thin straight "Asian" hair ( two Caucasian guys with thick dark blonde and wavy brown hair) so they knew the barbers felt uncomfortable doing this texture of hair. So say so! Don't use thinning shears and take out chunks and notches of hair off the top of their heads and pretend you know what you're doing when you are used to bald fades and using clippers only on top. My son's hair was 2 inches shorter on the right side of his head with long stringy strands in the middle. He normally has thick full hair and was left looking like the start of a balding middle aged man. I'm a stylist but since I was sleeping with the baby, they wanted to go bond and do me a favor and let me rest so I didn't have to cut it myself. Big mistake. I felt so bad because my son who's in a pivotal stage of his life in high school feels like everyone will be laughing at him now with his new found botched haircut. Seriously turn the client away and tell them you don't know how to cut their texture or do that style instead of making an extra $20 Luckily I knew how to fix it but the haircut is about 5-6 inches shorter than what he had asked for. Do not go here if you want a style other than 0 fade.

Very fair prices and I'd recommend bringing cash since I don't think they accept credit cards, although there was an ATM there. Atmosphere is relaxed and I felt comfortable. Everyone wore a mask when I was there and it wasn't crowded. They are appointment only right now, but it was easy to book my appointment online.
