Of the few I walked past in Playa del Carmen this Barbershop looked the most legit. Unlike other…read moreplaces, they had their prices clearly listed on a sign, so you knew upfront what you'd be charged. This Barber shop was bigger and much cleaner than others I'd seen a few blocks away, plus they had AC. All the barbers looked like they knew what they were doing. They use precision and pay attention to all of the details to ensure you look good when you leave. I walked out of there looking sharp and a very happy customer. If you're in the area and want a great haircut, I'd definitely recommend you check them out. Incredible value for the price. Honorable mentions that makes this place standout compared to the others in the area. 1. Staffs do speak a little English and they use translator app which is very helpful to communicate. 2. They have various haircuts on the wall that you can point to if it matches the style you want. 3. The area is clean, updated and well maintained. 4. Conveniently located right across the super market (MEGA store). 5. All of the barbers are friendly and polite. 6. The waiting area is nice with a big comfy couch. 7. Two big flat screens for entertainment with surround sound.

Instead the barber used some kind of gel immediately before shaving the segment with a straight razor. Since it was basically a dry shave, it wasn't a particularly close shave. Spa Kore Tulum - So worth it

I had the best experience when I went to the spa. So originally I wanted to try the Temezcal detox…read morebut was worried I wouldnt make it back in time cause we wanted to visit the chichen itza. So the manager said I could use the credit I paid for another service but the only things that were the same price were manis and pedis that I didn't need. I told her I didn't really want to pay more than what I already did, so she comped the 15 dollars extra for me to get a 30 min massage. The facility itself is clean, beautiful and peaceful. The women were very helpful and friendly. The woman who did my massage felt like she had 5 hands! It was amazing! They also ask if you'd like to shower before or after your massage and give you the option. I had just showered so I didn't use them. They give you a locker with a towel, robe and slippers so your belongings are secure. After my massage I noticed in the locker area that they had a sauna so I asked how much it would be to come back later and use it. The woman (looked like the manager) said that it is complimentary since I bought a service but normally would be 25 dollars to use alone. I thought that was a nice add on and they let me come.back to use it. I had to sweat out my alcohol to try and cure my hangover lol. But I recommend the massage and sauna, they were awesome.

The spa attendants are very friendly . My husband and I wanted to use the steam room and sauna together prior to our treatment but the men and women's locker area are separate . They let us go into one side together since no one else was at the spa at that moment and were able to accommodate our request. They also had a special for $135 US dollars you can get a 50 minute deep tissue or Swedish massage and an additional facial, body scrub, or back reflexology massage . I got the Swedish massage and facial. I loved the fruity scents of the oils and products they used for my treatment. Amazing !!!!

If you are considering getting a massage while you are visiting we highly recommend the Los…read moreColibríes Mayan Jungle Spa. It is such a beautiful atmosphere and everyone makes you feel welcome from beginning to end. We were apprehensive about going topless at first but the massage therapists all make sure you are covered when you need to be and never make you feel self conscious at all. The clay does have a sulfur smell to it but that goes away within 5 minutes or less. They rinse the clay off with cold water but right after being rinsed you are put into a warm/hot bath where you get a neck, shoulder and back massage. After you get out of the bath they have you get onto the massage table where you get a massage that is to the pressure of your liking. I had medium pressure and my wife had hard pressure. After the massage they lead you to the entry where you enjoy fresh fruit and tea. This experience is something you will never forget and well worth the money.

Getting it rinsed off was kind of miserable because the water was so cold. The hot bath was nice but we started to get overheated after about 10 minutes. I think my massage lady kept falling asleep. Regardless, it was definitely worth the price. They sent a taxi for us and he waited while we were getting our services.

First I want to say that this review is long overdue and I apologize to all the wonderful people…read morewho work at the Cozumel Palace for the delay. This is a very lengthy review, but I try to cover ad much as possible about my exceptional experiences. My family and I have gone there twice in one year, because we had such an amazing experience during our first visit in November of 2023. This past March of 2024 was our second visit and like I said, it was amazing. Not only did the staff remember us, but they made sure we knew that and made us feel super special. I've read a lot of reviews from other visitors and I have to say that some of their grievances are clearly due to a lack of research. First off, this property never claims to have a beach. Cozumel is known as one of the best places in the world for diving and snorkeling and this property offers excellent opportunities to experience both. Secondly, the shows; personally, I appreciate the fact that they give local talents a chance to show off their God-given skills and to teach tourists all about Mexican/Cozumel culture and history. Some people have called the shows "corny" or "cheesy." If you want Cirque du Soleil or something like that, go find it somewhere else. Not only do I greatly appreciate the variety of shows and the fact that they have one almost every night, but I also appreciate the fact that they are family-friendly. Thirdly, the cleanliness of this resort is impecable and I'm very picky about the cleanliness of places I stay at. Hats off to all of the cleaning and maintenance staff. I'll also highlight how easy, fast, and efficient it is to request maintenance through the app and be greeted with a friendly maintenance member within minutes of putting in the request. The fourth thing is the food. This one I can somewhat agree with some of the reviews, but mostly disagree. Yes, they have some things that are not good, but there is something for everyone and this resort offers an array of delicious options. If you don't like something, just mention it to a staff member and I guarantee you (based on my personal experience) they will go above and beyond to make it right. With this being said, I'll start my shoutouts: First off to Chef Elias Amor whom is no longer at that location, but is making families happy at another Palace resort with his incredible culinary talents. Next, I'd like to give a special thanks to Paola whom was the first person to remember my family and I, setting iff a chain reaction of exceptional service from The very first day of our visit in March. To Johnny, who made our anniversary dinner extra special by giving my wife and I a "Mayan coffee" show by the water. A very special shoutout to Mariana for checking on us every day to make sure we were having the best possible vacation and also to Alvaro for having such a wonderful F&B team. My "tocayo" Ivan for just being so kind to us in general and never missing the opportunity to ask us how our day was going. Thank you to Carmen, Pablo, Elizabeth, and Martha for their exceptional food service. Thank you to Enrique and Giovanni for slinging out the best drinks on the property. Thank you to Israel for accompanying us at the beginning and end of such an awesome and relaxing trip to Tulum. Thank you to David and Leslie for taking such great care of us during our kayaking and snorkeling experiences and thank you to Fernando for teaching us how to scuba dive. Last but certainly not least, a very warm and special thanks to Mayra, Alessandra, Angel, and Katya at Sweet & Coffee for working so hard day and night to make everyone delicious coffee, sandwiches, and snacks. Without all the hard work of the above mentioned staff member and of those I didn't mention, my last two visits to Cozumel would not have been so amazing. I can't wait to go back for a third time in the near future and I obviously highly recommend Cozumel Palace.
