This place is amazing , very family oriented! As a momma of boys going to a barbershop can be very intimidating at times plus most barbershops around here have the full on smoking ,loud music and the barbers who are just there drinking - not an ideal place to take a child in my opinion! Some of these barbers here just plain ole dont know how to differentiate a high fade, mid fade, & low fade at all. if you ask for a low fade they'll still fade the whole side of your head & 4 weeks ago i asked for a high fade & this chick took off some chunks on the top of my head when i clearly said "nothing off the top". i like my haircut shaped pretty evenly on both sides & i got one side lop sided because this barber just didnt take my request seriously. i tried to give this barber shop a chance but once you do the same thing twice, its a done deal im never coming here again & dont recommend anyone who is specific on how they want their hair cut to come here because you will not get what you want read more

I brought my son to get a haircut, we walked in about 20 minutes before the barbershop was gonna closed, the hairstylist (2nd chair close to the windows) that helped us was in a hurry attitude, it seemed that she wanted to go home, which is understandable. She made the haircut quick without care or interest of what I had requested. The haircut looks choppy, uneven and she cut more on the top that what I asked for. Why not Instead of rushing a bad haircut just advise the client to come the next day if she didn't feel like cutting hair, I wouldn't have minded scheduling for another day. This barbershop deserves 0 stars I've gone to the lady that's second right from the window and she does terrible haircuts. She cut my hair with scissors and left patches that were longer than others! Also you tell her to do a type of haircut and she does whatever she's wants with your hair. Got a haircut from a lady who had absolutely no conversation skills, no hospitality and rushed through the entire session with a miserable facial expression the entire time. I asked for a tapered neck and she did a high rounded line and said it was "going to look good". It looked terrible , so she went ahead and tried to fix it. I brought my son here to get his hair cut, it was recommended by a friend. The shop was full, people had appointments and some , like myself, were walk-ins. Ive had very bad luck with people cutting my son's hair, so im always nervous about it. The lady who cut his and my husbands hair did a great job. While i waited i saw the other hair stylist to see how they worked. All of them did great and the customers left satisfied. I feel we've found a place we can stick with, finally! The price was $15 for each, which i find reasonable. The ambiance of the place is old school, kid friendly, sports and war fanatic type decor. It was different but in a good way. Definitely beats the loud rap music and excessive cussing you see now a days in new barbershops. read more

Business was empty, I asked if the young barber at the end was here (as I was recommended by a family member) I was told by a lady sitting in the middle barber chair, no that he was off Wednesday's and Sunday's. So I asked her if she was available, she yelled to the back for George and told me that he was on lunch, so I asked her how long til he was available then? I felt her answer was really rude, she asked me "how long does it take you to eat lunch?" I decided to walk out of the business. I was just trying to get a haircut who cares who it was cutting my hair, the place was empty no one is getting a haircut or waiting it was just me standing there asking her. Best barber shop in chula vista hands down! Not your typical shop, perfect for the whole family my kids love coming here! The decor is unique and very different from any other shop I have been to. That is one of my favorite parts of this barbershop the owner is very creative and every corner of this shop is greatly put together. The barbers are great especially the young guy carlo. If I can give a zero I would! The lady all the way at the end has no idea how to cut hair! My explanation "I do almost a faux hawk but not so short. I want a 2 on the sides and little off the top. I hate having short hair." My end result was a strip of short hair and a two half way through the top of my head! She never once turned my chair around so that I can see myself in the mirror and was on her cell most of the time! I advised why so short on the top, she's replied "you said two!" And I answered "yes I said two on the sides!" And she just walked away to charge me. Walked in without an appointment but it was pretty dead no one greeted me and two barbers were just sitting there talking to each other, another gentleman walked in and got sat right away. I had to tell the guy my son was there first even though they saw us walking in and didn't acknowledge us. I did think the place was really cute my son, two years old, loved the toys and the decor he had so much to look at. for once he was happy to get his hair cut. George,I believe that is his name was very polite and friendly only he would not listen to what I wanted. My son has very little hair and I told him to leave the top long but he kept cutting I probably said this about three times but he just kept going and said that was the style. I used to get my haircut here all of the time but today was the last because I went in this morning and asked a lady to give me a 2 on the back and the sides and a 3 in the top but somehow she heard me say something else and ended up giving me a buzz cut. I love coming here to get a quick fade. A childhood friend of mine recommended this place because he has been coming here for many many years and just loves the work that George does for us. George is a super cool older gentleman that will really make you look sharp. He treats you with the utmost respect, hooks your hair up and he even shaves (electrical shaver) your beard and mustache if you want him too. He also he trims your eyebrows for you if they're too long. A haircut here is around the typical $13 range which I think is pretty reasonable. I always hook him up with a $20 though.
