OG shop was purchased from the original owners family and now Mike and Rudy gracefully keep it real with modern fades, cuts, trims, towel service, beard and stache grooming, full service for all of your gentlemenly needs. They even offered me a nice gentleman drink. This place is open during Covid. I just got my first haircut here since this whole Covid Pandemic started. I drove up 3rd avenue, and thought that their set up outside looked very clean and professional. There was 2 barbers set up, each with their own canopy, and both spaced out from each other. I got my haircut from Oliver. Haircut and service was great and done quickly. I'll definitely be coming back here for my cuts. It's nice to find a barbershop in the area with with good customer service. read more

First off, top quality people here. Friendly & welcoming. Second, Money Makin' Mitch is all business when it comes to keeping this Butter Pecan Rican fresh and oh so clean. His fade and beard skills are top notch and his shoe game is on point as well. Lastly, I never trust a barber with a messed up do on him/her's own self and I never trust anyone with dirty sneakers! So Bless way up to Mitch. Full support from me always read more

Mickey Lou's is a great addition to the transition that is taking place on 3rd Avenue in Chula Vista. The shop's vibe suits the environment introduced by the avenue's breweries, coffee shops, and restaurants. Mickey Lou's offers upscale barber services for reasonable prices. Additionally, the barber shop ensures that patrons feel welcome and comfortable with accomodations by offering cocktails and beverages. Mickey Lou's has adjusted to the ever changing requirements placed on businesses as a result of the virus which is outstanding. Oliver at Mickey Lou's has been cutting my kids hair for years and does an excellent job. He offers appointments for haircuts by way of a mobile app which is extremely helpful. I'd recommend his services to anyone looking for a professional and quality barber in the area. Well done, fellas! read more

As a mostly lifelong SuperCuts or Great Clips customer, I came here on the recommendation of a family member and I've been coming here ever since. Mike is probably the chillest dude you'll ever meet. He's quick with the banter and sarcasm and if you want to talk sports, Mike is your guy! Everyone at Mickey Lou's is chill and everyone usually joins in on someone's convo at one point or another, joking, laughing, talking shit.....haha! Oh and do you want a beer? A shot from one of their many bottles on display? All you have to do is ask. They aren't gonna get you hammered, but it's a nice touch to have as opposed to stuffy haircut places. Salud! Get your haircut at Mickey Lou's, you'll keep coming back. read more

Ive been seeing Mike now for the last 3years and have seen a lot of different barbers in the past and refuse to see anyone else. He's one of the best out there at what he does and now has his own shop, making me even more pumped to give my business to a solid, local business. There's also a lot of parking near by which makes it quick and convenient as opposed to other shops where parking is a big issue. Thanks again! read more

No doubt the best barbershop in Chula Vista great service family atmosphere really clean place, if you want a fresh cut go to Mickey Lou's Barber shop if you don't believe me go by and see for yourself. read more

Mike is one of the best! Good hearted dude with a gift for fresh cuts! Highly recommend Mickey Lou's!

Mike has been cutting my hair for going on 4 years now and I can honestly say he is the best. Despite I drive 30 mins to his shop, I always feel clean and refreshed after a cut with Mike. He is a genuine and heart felt barber that wants you looking your best and has the best set of razor and scissors skills a barber could as for. In March when Covid-19 shut down the barber shops and salons, I was already 2 months behind on my monthly cut, so i had to wait patiently for Mike's shop to open up. It was a challenge of my patience not to bust out the old Wahl, and take it all to a #2. Thats what Mikes cuts brings to his customers trustworthiness, loyalty, friendship, and self-confidence. I highly recommend Mike to any one who is looking for a genuine barber that gives you a great cut. But mostly, I recommend the Chula Vista Community to support Mike and all small businesses. So give Mike a call so you can get cleaned up from the quarantine. read more

Mickey Lou's and Mike are the best barber in San Diego hands down, if not California. He always does an amazing job, and is incredibly personable. Just to give you an idea, I used to drive 40 minutes just to get a haircut from him all the way from North County. That may seem crazy but when someone is as talented as Mike, it is completely worth it. read more

By far the best barbershop in town! I almost didn't want to write this review because I don't want it to get overcrowded, but it's inevitable. Mike is the owner and only barber in the shop and is by far the best barber I've ever been too! More than competitively priced, and you get all the bells and whistles with your appointment! Perfect hair cut, straight razor finish with every cut and a hot towel to seal the deal! If you haven't been you need to go! You'll never go anywhere else again! read more

Best barber in SD hands down! Not only is this shop in a perfect spot in Chula Vista but the owner is an amazing person and is amazing at what he does! Mike is great at cutting and styling both hair and beards and is the the only barber I trust. Online booking couldn't be more convenient or easier. Its always a good sign when everyone on the block knows and loves the owner. I cant go anywhere else after getting cut by Mike, he's the best at what he does. Such a great atmosphere and even better service. read more
