Hotel Dello, Tapestry Collection by Hilton - Guest room

I checked in quickly and given parking passes. It seems you can park in the attached garage or the adjacent city parking lot. Be aware the parking garage in the hotel is very small. I'd say maybe a little more than a dozen cars could park there at once. The room was spacious and clean. However when we were there, and probably one of the few times in the year this happens in south Florida it was a bit chilly. This hotel does not have heat. The only option in the room is ac. That was annoying but I just turned off the system and it was fine. The room had a nice sitting area, TV and a fridge which comes in handy. The bed was nice, but the pillows were very soft. I called and had some more delivered fairly quickly. We were located fairly close to the main road in Dania Beach which proved to be a bit loud from time to time. I'd guess the rooms on the western end would be quieter. The communal areas were clean and tidy and the few interactions we had with the staff were good. Everyone was helpful and kind. There are a few restaurants nearby as well which we took advantage of. The hotel is an easy drive to the Fort Lauderdale airport which was great.

I was able to book this hotel for day use only, from 9 AM to 4 PM, which worked out perfectly. I took an Uber from Port Everglades to the hotel, and it was cheap since it is fairly close. My room was not ready when I arrived because the hotel had been fully booked the night before. However, the front desk staff was very helpful and arranged for the housekeepers to prioritize my room. I was able to wait in the lobby in the meantime. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with a bed, a couch, and a nice TV. There was also a coffee maker with tea options available. I felt fine about the surrounding neighborhood. I walked to Grandpa's Cafe for lunch and stopped by Key West Shaved Ice for dessert. Check-out was quick and easy, and the hotel offers a complimentary airport shuttle. It runs about every 30 minutes, and reservations can be made at the front desk. I would definitely stay here again if I go on another cruise.

The hotel is well staffed with someone always available to greet you and take care of any questions. We arrived before check in and they were already able to get us into a room which was such a win after an early morning flight down. The rooms are amazing with a separate sitting area and bedroom area. The wall between has a swivel tv stand, so you can spin it a full 180 around to watch in bed. The bathroom has a huge shower with easy entry and a bench in the back. We didn't use much of the kitchenette, but a full fridge, countertop stove, dishwasher, and microwave would make this a great place to stay! The breakfast is included with lots of hot foods and plenty of pastries and fruit. Unfortunately for our stay, they were having maintenance issues with the close elevator broken down and a horrid smell coming from the hallway in between. The biggest perk though is the proximity to Dania Point. We walked over a few times to enjoy the local restaurants and shopping!

The airport was hectic, so we kept an eye out for the SpringHill Suites shuttle van and sign and found it easily. Check-in was fast and smooth. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and even provided us with a welcome bag and water thanks to our Marriott status. I also asked for a recommendation for local Caribbean food and she absolutely nailed it! We stayed in a one-bedroom suite with two beds. The room was spacious with a comfortable couch, kitchenette, and desk area. It's a little dated, but honestly totally acceptable for a beach town. The beds were comfy, pillows were plush, and the AC was on point. The bathroom mirror was also fantastic for doing makeup. The hot breakfast in the morning was just what we needed before heading out, and when we realized we forgot a toothbrush they kindly provided one right away. Overall, we'd definitely stay here again because of the friendly staff, great lobby vibe, spacious rooms, and overall convenience. The only downside was the pool closing at 8pm. It would have been nice to at least sit and relax back there later in the evening.

They have a free airport shuttle. Going back to the airport they make a few stops, so leave an extra hour early if it's tight. The free hot breakfast was okay. Kind of bland. But the coffee was good. The room was clean and comfortable. As other reviewers have said, the sofa was a little ragged. Beds were comfy and A/C was rocking!!

Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort - Margaritaville Restaurant

We had an absolute blast at this resort! We traveled as a family of three - husband, wife and…read moredaughter (8) The resort is located right on the beach unlike others that are across the street or require walking. It's also situated right on the boardwalk so you can easily take a nice walk in the morning, grab a quick scoop of ice cream (like 10 spots to choose from), shop for souvenirs or shirts and grab a quick diner. This made our stay super convenient because everything we needed was there! Most of the restaurants on the boardwalk are more fast casual with lots of Italian options. This worked well for our family because 2/3 of us are vegetarian. We did find a really nice upscale restaurant called GG's waterfront and it was only a two block walk from our hotel so not Ubers were needed. This made our trip to be honest. We love high end restaurants with fresh/quality food and this check every box. It's also situated for the most incredible sunset. So make sure you go. As for food the rest of the trip - for breakfast we just grabbed a Sammy from the coffee shop inside the hotel and they had some good options. Breakfast Sammie's, burritos (pre made but they warm them), fruit bowls, yogurt bowls, you name it. Then for lunch we always ate at the pool an really looked forward to it. This friend shrimp was outta this world and it's served with honey mustard which was so yummy. Prolly some of the best fried shrimp I've ever eaten at a pool. The we always got the cedar salad which was refreshing and we all split it. The only thing I wish they had more of was a nice guac - I'm talking with nice additions and super fresh / tasty. Then for diner we ate at the resort two nights - once on the upper desk restaurant overlooking the love music so we could hear it but not be in the action. The weekend nights are a little rowdy for our daughter. We were able to watch some sports on the outdoor tvs, listen to live music, watch the FlowRider and eat. The food was not great to be honest but the ambiance was incredible. Then one night we ate at the steakhouse at the property. Service was weird just felt awkward lol. But the food was good. The deviled eggs were top notch and some of the deserts. For drinks we always grabbed a South Sode gin drink from the coffee shop. If you like gin then it's a must. And at the pool our daughter lived on strawberry daiquiris (virgin) and we drank 1 pina colada (so much sugar) a day and then switched to mojitos (less sugar). We loved all the pool servers but they could prolly double the service at the pool bc people were kind of always waiting. Cabanas - we got a cabanas two of the days and it was incredible. It includes credit towards food and if you get one with a working tv you can watch tv. The NCAA tournaments were on so we got the cabanas two of the days we wanted access to the to each the games. It was also nice to have space and shade to relax. Treat yourself once day and grab one. FlowRider - WTF this was so cool! We're new to this and it was so fun for older kids. Our daughter was (8) did it two days and loved it. The instructors are so kind and helpful to those trying to learn. One of the trainers is in the top ten of all FlowRiders in the US. I did see some adults doing it but with a bad back we didn't want to risk it. The rooms were nice and cozy. We had one king and then ordered a pull away for our daughter. We do wish that they had more rooms with additional beds for the kids. Even the suites didn't include more beds. We prefer two kings, or king and a pull out and last resort would be two queens. I think they could def make the rooms better suitable for families. Construction - this was the only frustrating part to the end of our vacation. The last two days ( during spring break ) they were door construction right by the main pool and it was so loud that one of the days we had to leave the pool. Just seems like a really weird time to do construction The other negative was the main pool didn't have entertainment any of the days we were there (Saturday (night) - Thursday). It would have been nice to have some trivia, live music, or something. Also, for anyone else wondering if Margaritaville is child friendly it certainly is. They have a dedicated pool for kids with a small water slide, waterfall and activities. However, our daughter didn't want to hang out in the "baby pool" so we stayed at the main pool which had older kids and some other smaller kids. I'd say a majority of the people at the main pool were older kids and adults. Overall we would certainly come back to this hotel as we really enjoyed our stay!

Room wasn't up to cleanliness standards. Broken ironing board. Carpet had MULTIPLE stains. The building has too much wasted space. The lobby is grand and enormous for NO reason. The "spa" is nothing to see. Literally. A small room with a shampoo bowl and manicure table. The complimentary laundry room looked like it got robbed. Visibly broken washers. Dirty ice machine. At least the mattress was comfy.
