I had just purchased my first home and was referred to Ruben by my realtor. Based on our agreement,…read moreI was promised three of his movers at $180/hour and was quoted five hours of labor ($900) after Ruben personally came to assess the amount of furniture I had. Things seemed smooth at first as the crew arrived around 9:30 AM and the majority of my belongings were loaded into the truck within three hours. However, once we arrived at the new house, two of the three movers left without notifying me. I assumed they were working inside the truck while the remaining crew brought items in. I even spent over $80 on lunch for all the movers, only to find out two of them had left for the day after just four hours. That's when the nightmare really began. It took over an hour to get my futon upstairs because they hadn't disassembled it. They even required my help to get it up the stairs during which they damaged my walls and staircase without repairing. I had to move boxes to the correct rooms myself, unwrap shrink-wrapped furniture, and deal with his phone breaks and gas station runs. Despite all this, by 10:30 PM- yes, over 13 hours later-Ruben requested $2,170 in payment, claiming he gave me a "discount" of $20/hour for 8 hours because two movers left early. That still left me paying well over double the original quote. To top it all off, my daughter's bed was still unassembled, my TV was sitting in the box on the floor, and several items hadn't been properly placed or finished. When I voiced my concerns about the lack of communication and unfinished tasks, I was met with a clearly frustrated and dismissive attitude. After a long and exhausting day, I was left feeling taken advantage of and extremely disappointed. I would absolutely not recommend this company to anyone. Poor communication, incomplete work, and a complete lack of professionalism.

From the start, their customer service was like no other moving company I had been in contact with for our move. Nirva was my point of contact throughout the entire process and not only would she answer my emails promptly (lightening speed), but she answered each and every one of my questions and always made sure I was clear on every detail of the move. All moves can be stressful, but moving across the country takes it to another level. We moved from South Florida to Northern California and received our shipment in just 13 days from the pick-up date! I was very pleased/impressed with how well they wrapped our furniture items. Only 2 items from our bedroom set took a minor hit, on the corner of our dresser and bed, but for a cross-country move it could have been a lot worse. On the day of delivery the 2 movers were very nice and prompt as well, they quickly assembled the furniture that required assembly, cleaned up all the tape and other packaging debris left behind and were on their way. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the service we received and their price was truly the best! Thank you Forward Van Lines! What you can look forward to with Forward Van Lines: * Great Customer Service * No hidden fees * Easy/flexible scheduling for pick-up/delivery * Amazing pricing

RUN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION!…read more They had ME, a SENIOR WOMAN, packing my apartment while the young strong guys "held" boxes; the foreman stole a brand new pair of sneakers from the box in my living room that I'd purchased the previous day to wear on the plane - I marched down to the truck and demanded them back. He said he "thought I didn't want them". This was the JOB FOREMAN! He also helped himself to clothing "for my girlfriend". I was so fed up I let him take things. Of the 3 to 4 guys who showed up, they wouldn't pack everything (asked, "what do you want to take from THIS room" in every room they entered. It's an OUT OF STATE MOVE! WTAF?) so half my stuff was left behind in an out-of-state move. They then held my stuff for THREE MONTHS, lord knows where, or WHY, before I FINALLY got it, and when it FINALLY came some furniture was COMPLETELY MISSING and some was DAMAGED. It was the ABSOLUTE WORST packing and delivery EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I'd rather them -5 stars if it were possible. ** SPEND MORE MONEY AND HIRE PROFESSIONALS - you get what you pay for.

The billing was a nightmare, and I've lost track of how many different people I had to deal with during this long ordeal. Oh, the packing/loaders were great, and the driver was more accessible than the move coordinator in Tampa! Our items were stored at A-1 Freeman in Colorado Sprgs. for 8 months. When we finally had our stuff delivered, the china hutch was damaged, other items were missing, my desk arrived without legs and only one set of golf clubs (my wife's)! Oh, I was finally reimbursed for all of that by North American/SIRVA, but my favorite set of very expensive Calloway clubs were gone. Probably never made it out of Florida!

At no point was I told that the $150 was non-refundable, and I did not sign any agreement stating that I would forfeit the money if I canceled. After canceling, I contacted Corey multiple times by phone and text to request the return of my $150. I received no response. My calls and messages were simply ignored. The moving service was never provided, yet I have still not received my $150 back. I understand that plans can change, but I expected basic communication and transparency regarding my money. If there was a cancellation or non-refundable policy, it should have been clearly disclosed before taking my payment. Very disappointing experience. I would recommend getting any cancellation and refund terms in writing before paying this company to reserve a moving date.
