Natiowide Movers - Broken by Nationwide Movers: One of dozens of crystal and glass pieces

Stay away from Nationwide Moving, which is a terrible moving broker: if you already have a deposit…read morewith them, cancel now: it'll still be better than getting hit with multiple thousands of dollars in surprise charges once your move with them is underway. We were repeatedly lied to by staff and a supervisor at Nationwide Moving / Nationwide Movers about almost every aspect of our interstate move from Texas to Minnesota in May 2025. Handmade, antique furniture arrived destroyed. 22 boxes were completely crushed. Dozens of fully-wrapped, well-packed lamps, tables and other items arrived broken. Our move cost more than double what we were quoted. Our belongings arrived 11 days late (and would have been a month late had we not pestered Nationwide relentlessly). (Nationwide gets one more star than they earned because of the good work done by the local movers they contracted for us.) Choose any other mover. Do not take the risk (or end up spending twice what you expected) by moving through a bad broker like Nationwide Movers.

The company has refused to issue me a refund, I had to fly out to Phoenix and move everything on my own. Nationwide kept my deposit of $460 without ever making an attempt to move my stuff after the mover they sent out there late tried to rip me off.

I am writing about the amazing experience with United Prime Van Lines from start to finish. From…read morethe moment that I first contacted your company, I was received graciously and treated with kindness, compassion and reassurance. Molly, I wish to thank you for your patience with waiting for this well deserved letter. As I told you in our phone conversation, you had such an incredible impact at this time which was probably the most stressful event in my 71 years of life. I wanted to write the first letter directly to you and the second one to your supervisor(s) which will be e-mailed to info@unitdprimevanlines.com. This is my small gift to you and the other wonderful staff of your company. If appropriate, I would love for you to keep this letter for your Professional Portfolio. Molly, you have exceptional customer service skills and definitely excel with your communication skills which were carried out with kindness and genuine compassion while maintaining your professionalism. You had an amazing way of empowering me to stay focused and calm by the way that you listened and always letting me know that you truly understood my predicament while reassuring me that we were going to successfully get through this difficult period of my life. As you probably remember, my father passed away in San Antonio, Texas in August of 2024 and I was never notified. I had been trying to call the caregiver since my father's birthday in April of 2024 and only received a couple of messages that he was fine. It wasn't until December 31, 2024 that I received a call from one of my friends that once worked for the VA and he found out through his buddy that my dad had died in August. Meanwhile that caregiver had opened probate, got appointed to be the executrix and managed to take all of my dad's money, got all his real estate and his two mini-vans. With the exception of $5,000, the caregiver had spent all of his $796,000. This predicament compelled me to immediately hire the attorneys on a contingency basis . The attorneys in order to freeze the activity that the caregiver was conducting with my dad's estate and prevent her from selling his properties. In fact, since she had already spent dad's monies and paid off her and her daughter's mortgage, she could not give back my dad's monies and decided to return the properties to the Kawanami Estate. Molly, together with Ian LeCrewe, you were also instrumental in working with me with my financial situation where I only had my Social Security as my only steady monthly revenue. I appreciated each and every discount that was given to me to make my move possible. You were patient with me as I got my financial resources together to advance monies to me to help me pay for the move. I never felt that I was just another customer. In your interactions with me, you consistently demonstrated that you understood what I was going through and that me and my life situation mattered to you. You did not pressure me. Instead, you demonstrated genuine compassion while simultaneously firmly grounding me with what needs to be paid and by when. You acknowledged that you knew that I was doing the best I could. It was obvious you had a deep understanding of what I was going through as I later found out that you were going through a move yourself. When it took awhile for the law firm to wire the money on time, you helped with staying on top of following through to verify that the funds had finally arrived. You were so helpful in making sure that I could make the final remaining balance of $ 1,000 in two monthly installments of $ 500 each in December and January. You also followed up with me regarding reassuring me that Adam was your favorite person and that I would be in good hands with Adam when they delivered my belongings to me in San Antonio, Texas on Monday, November 17th The moving crew teamworked to get all my stuff into my home under Adam's supervision. Molly, you called me on Monday to check on how I was doing and how the moving went. I am still looking for the glass pieces that went with my 2 small desks and printer stand. You reassured me that I have time to finish unpacking everything and hopefully I will find them in good condition. Otherwise, you told me that I could file a claim. Molly, thank you so much for being such an important part of my life and I would be happy to serve as a reference for you or your company if you ever need that. Sincerely yours with all my gratitude, Gail C. Kawanami

I already know Molly is going to come say some return in my review, but I am going to tell you to…read moredo your research on this company before you hire. If Ian picks up, hang up. He says everything is gravy & it's not. If Yuri is supposed to call you or text you he won't. We had to call because no one called us back to tell us the time for pickup. (Should have been first red flag.) If Aidy/Aiden gets your pickup; they work really slow. It took exactly 2 hours before anything was put into the truck. 2 hours for two employees to take apart a child floor bed. They kept calling my toddler daughter into the room (second red flag.) to the point, we got annoyed and pulled the kids and shut the door. They do take breaks that are considered "work hours." We directly told them DO not take the small boxes unless you have room. (we got a thumbs up & an ok.) They didn't take 1/2 of what was on the list & brought what was told not to. Our boxes were clearly not taken care of.(photos) They will not tell you that you owe more money; I asked Aidy/Aiden probably a dozen times if everything was ok? He spent 30 mins on the phone complaining he wasn't told about this or this or that. At first we didn't care & said it wasn't his fault. I told him everything I told Ian on the phone. He looked at my husband and said we'll get it all taken care of even if we work all night. In their agreement they are required to address addition charges, you are to sign to agree and pay. Never happened. What did happen was Aidy called 15 mins prior to arrival (8 PM.) telling my husband we were required to give $700 or they'll keep our stuff. In a small town out side of city limits. Already have given them almost $2000. Then Yuri said "now we won't accept your usps money thing because you're being difficult." They had us by the short hairs & got $2000 more from us. To make matters just worse. Molly (Who is so good at her job & wants us not to react out of emotions.) calls and alludes to calling the police for kidnapping & making a police report; unless we sign a release stating we won't go after them, they won't go after us. And then adds; and you can't write a negative review. They charged us an extra 4 hours & unloading took 2, so my husband wanted a refund. Nope Yuri said since we wasted their time they don't care about a refund. (It was said in more unpleasant words.) Now; granted I did have a "crash out." But who wouldn't? We already had $3000 in; we said we'd pay more if they'd just show up but they refused & hid down the road. So ya; I cried & was visibly upset & my husband was angry. Again; wouldn't you be? We have cameras to protect ourselves from this kind of things; especially in 2026. Do your research and go with a small company who cares. We needed stuff we couldn't move moved not the small things they rammed into the truck. The guy Eric who came though (since Aidy wouldn't come back & that's ok.) who came; should start his own business. What a great guy, he is the only who looked like he knew what he was doing the whole time. Best of luck on everyone's search but cast your bets on this one. Because again, they have us by their short hair because they had our stuff. I just don't want anyone else to get stuck like we did with these people. Update; won't let me add photos. So I'll post on yelp as well.
