Super great place for Sunday football, tons of tv's and game day activities. It's quite pricy but given the location that is fair. Menu has a decent amount of variety but very minimal options for vegetarians (no tofu or veggie protein option, veggie burger is Beyond). The chicken burger was quite tasty and the caeser salad was pretty standard. The noodle bowl would be a skip in my opinion (small portion, minimal veg and sauce didn't taste home made). Quick and super kind service, will definitely be back for the keg of nachos that has 1lb of cheese... sounds like a riot lol. Large spacious sports bar & grill attached to the Sandman Hotel on Georgia St, in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Love the lighting and overall atmosphere. I arrived at 12pm on a Saturday, and it does get busy quickly. My order: Shark Burger ($19): I had to order this as it's their signature burger (it has their name in it, so it can't go wrong right). Loaded with bacon, melty cheddar cheese, sauteed onions (the BEST part), sauteed mushrooms, and thinly sliced red onions. It's a solid juicy burger, 10/10. Shark Bites ($14.50): Dry-rub boneless pork ribs (I tried the shark spice, which is very mildy spicy). Comes with a creamy dip too. Easy to eat and share. Sort of taste like seasoned popcorn chicken to me. Smoky Parmesan Tater Tots ($4): very good deal considering the portion. It's a classic bar bite that never gets old. Golden brown n' very crispy, and full of bold flavour (tastes like a BBQ powder to me), not very cheesy, but it is still super delicious overall. Jalapeño bacon & cheese fritters ($5): Very mildy spicy, and not a lot of bacon or cheese. Mostly dough (which is what a fritter is), but it isn't too greasy which is a plus. Not one of my favourite. Caesar Salad ($12.5): I like getting a salad especially if the rest of the meal is mostly deep fried and meaty. Large portion with a good sauce to romaine lettuce ratio. Steak Frites ($26): Comes with arugula salad and truffle fries on the side (truffle fries were soo good). I added garlic prawns as well - these were a bit on the smaller side (came with ~5 prawns). It's a 7oz sirloin steak, with a pink medium rare centre, but it was a bit tough in my opinion. Perhaps it was just the cut I got, but it was kind of hard to chew/stringy, and on the super lean side. Pink Lemonade (2oz): Absolut Raspberri, peach schnapps, Sour Puss Raspberry, pineapple juice. Nice and sweet fruity drink that I enjoyed. Happy hour available from 3-6pm & 9pm to close on Saturday-Thursday. All night happy hour on Friday's from 3pm to close (Pink Lemonade is not included on Happy Hour menu). Literally the worst bar, restaurant, sports pub, etc I have ever been to in my life. The managers should all be fired. All of them. There were at least two there tonight, and they were each worse than the other. We tried to watch a baseball playoff game there, after calling and confirming they would have the game on. Yes, I know baseball is not the main sport and it was first night of hockey season. We got there, the game was on one of the tiny corner TVs. The main projectors had hockey on one and local news on the other. We asked if we could put the game on any other TV, they said no. When local news came on the projector, we asked again. The response was that some group had rented out part of the space and controlled the TV. Dude they are not watching local news with no sound, that's you being lazy and an asshat. We were there for 20+ minutes trying to figure out if we were going to stay. No one came to take our drink or food order. Finally we got up to leave, and the manager came over and wanted to make sure we paid our bill before we left. I'm like what bill, no one ever came over to take our order. During the whole time we were there the two managers in suits sat at the corner of the bar chatting. Fun place to hang out if you're in the area. Since I work nearby it's a go-to place to go after work with my coworkers. They have some great drink specials. Saturdays they have double ciroc highballs on special (I suggest the coconut or pineapple flavour) and the Bulldogs on Wednesdays are pretty fun + wings are on special! I like how they play music videos on the screens everywhere and the service is always pretty fast. Great place to pre-drink before a game or concert if you're on the way to Rogers Arena. The short story: the food was bad. The service was worse. The long story. Hubby and I went down to watch the game at the Shark Club and sat at the bar. They've got a long list of beer on tap, but the list doesn't provide any tasting notes so it's a little hard to choose. It would have been nice to get flights, but these were not available. The beer brought to Hubby had huge head with no apologies. We ordered two types of wings and cheese toast. The cheese toast came after about 20 minutes, and was pretty good. Lots of cheese. ten minutes later the wings finally arrived. I was starved. They looked good, but no. These were probably the worst wings I've ever had. Dry. Tough. Barely any meat. The bar staff stayed away while we ate. I tried to catch someone's eye to send them back, but I was so hungry I ended up eating them. When the bartender came to take the plates I told him how terrible the wings were and he said we should come back on Wednesday when they were 50% off. Hubby and I just stared at each other in disbelief. We decided to order more cheese toast, because we were still hungry and it had been good. After the folks next to us ordered and ate, and the cheese toast still hadn't arrived, we inquired where it had got to, and discovered the server hadn't entered it in the system. Again no apologies. A lively sports bar located near the Rogers Arena and BC Place stadiums of downtown Vancouver. The great location is perfect for a pre-game meal or hangout, and there's a decent amount of street parking or more expensive lot parking available. Atmosphere (4 out of 5): Great sports atmosphere, tons of screens to watch whichever game is on, and it's always packed on game day with fans. Interior decor is modern and nice with a large bar running the length of the room. Service (3.5 out of 5): Despite it being a (very important) game day, the restaurant wasn't fully staffed and not all the sections were able to be opened. Plus, the lack of hostess meant that we were standing around for about 15 min before being acknowledged and put on the wait list. Once seated, the server was fine and the food came out in a reasonable time frame. Wednesday Wings - Salt & Pepper/Golden Shark (2.5 out of 5): On the drier and smaller side, I've definitely had better. However, the seasoning was good and they aren't much better or worse then general bar wings. They get the job done. "Bulldog" Drink - Fruli upended into lime slush with a shot of tequila (3 out of 5): Tasted like a spiked strawberry lime slush, which was a great refreshment throughout. It was on the sweeter side though. Value (4 out of 5): On Wednesdays after 3 PM, wings are discounted at $5 for an order of 10 with the purchase of a drink. Luckily for me, the Bulldog is also Wednesday's special drink, so getting a combo of 10/20 wings with a Bulldog for under $15/20 is a pretty good deal. Outside of Wednesdays, I probably wouldn't expect any great value. Overall, I've been here a few times on Wednesdays, and it's always done the job for a pregame meal of wings and a Bulldog. Stopped in for an early happy hour while I waited for my husband to meet me. Love the high-ceilings and long bar to accommodate plenty of patrons. While I'm not a sports fan I imagine fanatics enjoy the many large screens for games and highlights. Even though it's a sports bar it's not as intimidating as others I've accidentally found myself in. Ordered the weekday special Mule which came in the traditional copper cup but tasted a bit like overly sweetened lemonade. The edamame was a decent size snack but I wasn't a fan of the sweet sriracha salt that served to only enhance the sweetness of the mule. My bf and I drove all the way from Maple Ridge to watch the Winnipeg Jets game last night and the mgr definitely didn't make us feel welcomed as we weren't part of the crowd. The bartender was lovely as he was attentive to our needs, but unfortunately the MGR Mark was extremely rude and only allowed a small TV for us to watch on. We understand that you must cater to your majority of the room, but the when those games were over, the Mgr still insistent they keep the commercials on while the music was on vs other NHL teams being displayed on the big screens. The Habs and Jets Game weren't worthy to be on while we waited 28 mins until the Canucks game started. This would never happen at the Canadian Brew House Sports bar as they actually pay attention to the games. The Mgr Mark was more interested in chatting with his waitresses vs engaging with the sports room of his customers. The worst part about it was that the one TV they allowed us to watch the Jets on was the damaged TV as the contrast was dark to see. Visiting the area, attempted to find the restaurant prior to a Canucks game but weren't able to. Luckily, we found it wondering around the city the next day. I imagine it would have been a different dining experience had we been there on game night, but we thought the food was good and the restaurant clean. The bathrooms were a bit confusing at first but I get it now. We were not rushed during our meal and our server was helpful with answering our questions and making recommendations. 2.5 stars. Came a here a couple of times now. One time to watch Canucks game, another was to watch the Seahawks game. The food is above average, like other pub food. They do have a small brunch menu which was decent, when I was there to watch the Seahawks game. They have a great Mahi salad. Yes I know, why am I getting a salad at a pub. I just finished volleyball and didn't feel like eating a burger so decided on something a bit lighter. The servers were really great. Friendly, courteous and fun to talk to. They have a lot of servers when it's busy. Looked like there was a server for every 4-5 tables. The place looks great after the renovation. The back upper area is great for small groups as it's away from the pubs area. They also have a DJ for music, which is good but sometimes the music gets in the way. At times, felt like I was in a club and should be dancing, rather than watching a game. When the Seahawks game was over, there was an early Canucks game on however they didn't put it on screen. Instead they had the next NFL game on tv. Not even one tv with Canucks game. Also there were still ppl in Seahawks gear in the place and barely anyone else with NFL jerseys for the next NFL game that was on tv. We were not disappointed at all, the Shark Club has excellent service and delectable dishes! My friend has Celiac disease and has to be very careful about what she eats (one order of anaphylactic shock, please!) They offer a gluten-free menu with the disclaimer that the menu is made for people who are more gluten conscious and less so for people who have a severe allergy. We were seeing a show at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, which is across the street and decided to come early and grab dinner. The first time we came here the server we got was absolutely clueless and the only recommendations she had were salads or various beers on tap (Tip: If the customers ask for food recommendations don't try to upsell liquor, that's just terrible). We ordered the tater tots for an appetizer and were absolutely mortified when we saw two servers walk by our food in the kitchen passbar and they GRABBED SOME TATER TOTS AND ATE THEM. What kind of kitchen allows their servers to eat food meant for customers????? The only saving grace is the food. The kitchen made me a great burger. We complained to the general manager afterwards but she seemed to be some ex-waitress who cared more about her servers and seemed so indifferent about the servers eating the food. I went a second time against my better judgement to watch a lions game on the big screens and apperantly they only allowed the audio of the Dallas stars game when the owner is eating. I have gone here twice. Both times incredibly disappointing. The food is not tasty, and the service is slow and not very welcoming. They overcook their steak, being a vegan I do not eat streak, but even I know the difference between rare and medium rare. We never get water, tables are seated before the previous table has left or paid their bill, and the one of the waitresses even tipped herself, she just walked off with our change. Not ok.
