I love bubble tea. That is one fact about me that many of my friends know and when I heard there was a tea place that I haven't tried, I instantly bookmarked it. Sharetea is located in Sandy Springs, not far from Perimeter mall. It's a rather small space that's structured very similarly to the Kung Fu Tea in Duluth. As you enter the room, you'll see that there are sitting areas along the left side of the room as well as some places right in front of the window (perfect place for people watching). There's also a table that can sit about approximately six people in front of the counter, but is usually occupied. Alongside the right of the room is where all the creation and magic happens. They have many different styles of bubble tea, some that I haven't ever heard of. Whether you like your milk tea brewed, mixed, fresh, creama'd(?), or blended with ice, you can find all those options in this little spot! Now I will say that there the only thing that is the same with all of the drinks is the size. You can customize the amount of sugar and ice however you want, but all drinks will come in one, pretty large cup. With that being said, make sure you are confident in what you order! Prior to my visit, my close friend (hi Jessica!), who is a frequent Sharetea visitor suggested that I go easy on the sugar since they tend to overly sweeten their drinks. This may also depend on the tea maker that is working that day, but I would definitely go at most 75% less sweet if it's your first time. With the drinks itself, the teas are very nicely and strongly brewed which I really appreciate. They also have an assortment of toppings that you can choose from. Their tapioca alone comes in three different types -- black, white, and mini. They also have pudding, aloe vera, red bean, a variety of jellies, and even ice cream. I'm too much of a traditional when it comes to toppings, so I haven't tried any of the ones just listed, but I do sense a bubble tea and ice cream drink present in my future list of things to try. All in all, even though Sharetea is a tad farther than other bubble tea places, I will definitely be coming back for some more yummy drinks. read more

YAY bubble tea near my office in Sandy Springs! Finally. Parking - There's a small lot that attaches to a bigger lot. I'm totally okay with that since other bubble tea places have smaller or crazier lots. Space - Pretty small. I personally order and leave when I stop in. However, if you want to sit and chat for a second with a friend, come at an off time. Just prepare for it to get loud once more people arrive. Service - Slower than KFT/Sweet Hut, BUT they recently opened. They're trying to hire people and get them to learn all the drinks. I once worked at Sbux post college for like 3 months and I managed to mess up every drink ordered, haha. So.... I definitely feel the new people's pain. They'll get better! *There's only one size- a large. My favorite: QQ Family Milk Tea with Black tea with half sugar, light ice. Comparison wise ... I like Sharetea more than KFT because Sharetea's drinks are lighter and doesn't make me feel too full after a drink. The toppings are also pretty good. One major note: there's only 1 register. If you're new, study the menu beforehand or look at it quickly while in line. I am so glad my friend told me about this place!! They are located next to Jinya in Sandy Springs. My friend and I went last saturday so they were having their soft opening specials, 15% off your entire order. We order the following: -Oolong milk tea with mini pearls -Mango green milk tea -Creama green tea I really like the mango green milk tea. I think I might be addicted lol. I went back twice in three days. I love the creamy/sweet ratio and how you can taste the mango puree. Highly recommend. The creama green tea is pretty good as well and I like how they give you a little knife to cut the lid so you can drink the creama with every sip. YUM. The oolong milk tea is pretty basic so I don't have any thoughts on it but I like the mini pearl. Overall, I highly recommend this new bubble tea spot. :) read more

This place was a bit overhyped for me. I love bubble and I'm always willing to try new places, but when it comes down to it, nothing has really tasted better than Kung Fu Tea and Sweet Hut, imo. The only difference between this place and other bubble tea places around the area is the crema tea that hasn't hit other places. I tried the mango crema tea, which is tea with mango pureed (I believe), and a cream cheese topping. Reminds me of the velvet tea at Paris Baguette for those who have tried. The cheese taste was a bit strong for my taste, a little too forward. We also tried their milk teas, and it didn't taste anything out of the ordinary for me - in fact, it was more bland versus other tea shops. All in all, I would probably not drive here just for the bubble tea. I would rather venture out towards Buford Hwy, or Duluth for their bubble tea shops. read more

My boyfriend and I went to this place on a Sunday early afternoon. We both ordered the Classic Milk Tea with half sugar. I got the tapioca pearls, and my boyfriend did not. ShareTea has about 450 locations in 18 countries, so it has a global presence. We were excited to see how good the bubble tea would taste. Our excitement ended there. We waited nearly 25 minutes for our bubble milk tea drinks. The 25 minutes did not account for the time waiting in line to purchase the drinks. There were only two people in front of us in line. The 25 minute wait was just the time it took to get our drinks from the time we paid. There were 4 people making the bubble teas. I'm not sure how it took so long for them to make them. Everyone waiting for their drinks did not look to exceptionally happy. And I agree with how they felt. It didn't appear as if many people had large orders. Most people ordered 2-4 drinks. So I don't know what the hold up was about. All the workers appeared very busy. I believe they used real tea instead of a pre-mixed batch of powdered bubble milk tea. When our tea finally came out, we tasted it and it was average. It was nothing spectacular. It had a very slight hint of tea and a creamy milk. I know that I can get a similar or better drink elsewhere with faster service. The upside was that we did get a 10% off promotion because it was their grand-opening month. It ends in February per the cashier. Overall, I would not come back. If the tea was exceptional then maybe I could overlook the wait time. Unfortunately, the tea we had was average. There are nearby bubble tea shops that I know could provide better drinks and faster service. I do like how conveniently close it is to Jinya Ramen, which I love. I absolutely love this location. The manager and team here are so great and have amazing customer service and they do their best to ensure that one of their customers has an amazing experience. Now when it comes to the actual drinks, the staff makes the best bubble teas I have ever had. They also give you recommendations when you are overwhelmed by all the amazing choices. My personal recommendation is the Hokkaido Pearl Milk Tea with the créma. But overall, I love this location so much. I come here a lot for some celebrations or simply when it's too hot outside. Being a bubble tea addict, I've noticed that Share Tea has a very fresh taste to their bubble tea. It's very refreshing and isn't very heavy. My favorite drink is the Okinawa Milk Tea with less ice, 80% sweetness and boba! The only reason why I gave it 4/5 instead of 5/5 is because sometimes the boba is a bit too firm. This isn't always an issue because each batch of boba could be made differently. I think cooking the boba for longer and stirring it a lot as it cooks will keep it from being too hard and also from sticking together. Nobody likes it when you take a sip of bubble tea and a huge chunk of 4 bobas stuck together makes its way up the straw. Overall, I think Share Tea is an excellent spot for some good bubble tea! I've been here about 15 times with my wife and daughter and I've yet to see them get an order wrong. My wife is from Taiwan (birthplace of Bubble Tea) and we both think Sharetea is about the best around. Before Sharetea, we used to go to Kung Fu tea over on Buford Highway, which is also excellent. I find the quality to be consistently high and their service is always pretty fast compared to other bubble-tea establishments. If I were to ding anything, it would be the parking means you sometimes have to walk from the Lowe's area which really isn't that big of a deal and the interior is quite cramped, so if it gets busy, the line goes out the door and maneuvering around isn't ideal. The tea is good. Like most tea places, the tea is really sweet so I got a half sweet black milk tea with boba. This was a good amount of sweetness but still sweet. They provide a lot of boba. I tried the oolong milk tea and my husband got the matcha green tea creama, which is that tea with the creamy foam on top(naigai). We both agreed that mine was way better. The tea flavor was strong and fresh, and the boba was chewy just the perfect amount of sweetness. His matcha creama didn't really have a strong matcha flavor and the cream was just a thin layer and wasn't that rich. Not too much seating, and we were there on a Saturday night, so we just got our drinks to go. Will def be back to try other flavors! read more

I go here more times than I'd like to admit. It's my and my daughters spot and we love it. Kung fu tea has always been our favorite but it's a little trek. When we heard about sharetea opening right down the street and refused to get excited until we tried it. It has been amazing and such a great addition in Sandy Springs. Love the people who work there. They've messed up on my drinks a few times but have fixed it super fast. It can be super tricky here but there is ample parking at Lowe's if you can't find any in the actual plaza. I have been here probably a total of 4x since their opening and every single visit is consistently met with excellent customer service and delicious drinks. I have always been lucky to miss the crowd but have noticed that they do accumulate a line and manage to get through everyone quickly and sufficiently. Also, their coffee crema is by far my favorite and a staple when I go, their ice blended coffee is not my thing and I was a bit bummed about it being more ice than anything else. Ordered: wintermelon crema tea ($4.50) - this is the most popular drink! Other drinks are around the same price range and you have to pay additional $0.50-$1.00 for other toppings like bubbles and ice cream. Description:top layer is heavy cream (unsweetened), remaining of the drink is very light. You will have to cut a slit on the top and drink it. You can pick amount of ice, sweetness, toppings etc. so more customizable than your mainstream bubble tea spots. Review: It was a refreshing drink! Usually we find bubble tea spots in Atlanta, but this is a slightly different drink because of the heavy cream that adds texture and a bland taste to balance the tea. You can either choose to completely mix the drink (the top layer of heavy cream with the remaining tea), or slightly mix it or not mix it at all. This spot is within the same plaza as Jinya Ramen. A lot of people stop by to grab a tea while they wait in line for Jinya. Since it is new, it is not AS busy but I can see it getting busy because of the long line at Jinya. This place has just opened up recently and had to try it out since this is the first bubble tea place in the Sandy Springs area. We came in during their Grand Opening period so they had a promotional deal of 10% off of your order. When you first come in, they have an organized menu of all their different types of bubble tea. They all come in one size only, which I wish they had a smaller size because I could not finish my drink. But, the price was actually reasonable compared to other places where a small drink was the price of these large drinks here. We ordered the Wintermelon Creama and the Pearl Oolong milk tea. The Wintermelon Creama was too sweet for me. I wanted to adjust the sugar on it, but I was advised by the staff that the wintermelon tea was already sweet and I could not adjust it. The Creama floats on top of the tea and it has this salty/savory taste that you drink separately. They told me how to drink it which is where they slit two holes on the top of the plastic cap and to drink it normally: first the creama then the tea should follow suit. It came with a mini plastic knife. I liked it at the first sip but trying to drink the whole thing was difficult and eventually I did not finish the drink. I wish I could have adjusted the sugar in it. The Pearl Oolong Milk Tea was GOOD. I'd actually order this instead. It wasn't overly sweet; it had a good balance. I came on another visit and ordered the Wintermelon tea w/Fresh milk. Still sweet, but I was about to adjust the sugar to 50% level. So I'm a bit confused if you can or cannot adjust sugar on Wintermelon. Anyways, boba (tapioca pearls) were soft and chewy. I'd visit again if I was in the area. It's just too far of a drive for me where Kung Fu Tea and Teahouse Formosa are much closer and I've liked their drinks for a while. I try to stay away from this Sandy Springs area because the traffic is horrible. The parking lot could be a mess on weekends. read more

Every other tea place so far has either missed the mark on flavor or has given me a pathetic amount of pearls with my tea. I've always been disappointed. Until now. Parking is good, and the 'rewards' card is a great idea. There will be a small wait to get your tea, but that's a very small price to pay when everything else is amazing.
