I would love to give this place 5stars honestly base on our first experience here and due to the spectacular personality and professionalism of the waitress that took care of is at our first visit. She made recommendations and everything from the local sautéed mussels to the pizza and to the potatoes kindof "raviol"i called culurgiones that I enjoyed so much after so long that I didn't have them. This is the reason why I'm mentioning this as premises. Saying that I'm deciding to give to this place only 2 stars because our second and last visit ( i will never personally going back) was a falling down... a complete failure! Got there at 9 pm and we immediately noticed the waiting stuff was a bit overwhelmed. The owner jumped in to get our order and I thought was a beautiful touch but he totally killed the vibes from the forst touch! He immediately showed an attitude but I didn't want to say anything at first. We got our appetizer ( sautéed mussels) at 9:45. Now we got that appetizer because the first time was so fresh and with so much flavor that I couldn't wait to have it again: big mistake. It was tasteless and not that fresh honestly. I stared to get a bit disappointed and I totally was when I noticed that at almost 11 pm we didn't get our main courses. My mother wanted to cancel her meal because she lost apetize waiting for so long. Me and my father decided to eat anyway and his dish ( fried calamari was very good as the first time) my dish fregola with gambero rosso was not that special and definitely not put together in the right way. Now, things happen.... I agree and everything could have be solved with a smile and the right attitude towards repeat costumers like us but the owner was so incredibly rude that he limited himself to watch us actually talking and friendly complaining with our waitress that( as I mentioned earlier) was one of the reson why we came back. She was apologizing and she being so polite and respectful that I even tipped her even if at this time she wasn't taking care of us. Wondering why she isn't actually the owner...she will be definitely have so much success as restaurant owner! Only after, the " owner" actually realized how disappointed we were he came over and asked if we wanted something on the house like a dessert a drink ..: Nice touch but even in that occasion he showed to be so arrogant that he didn't even apologize! I was speechless...: 1. We left the appetizer 2. Cancel 1 main course 3. Refused a complementary dessert and even though he barely acknowledged the ridiculousness of the situation.... This was probably one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. The staff were surly, and actively avoided us when we were trying to address our food issue. Based upon text messages we were sending and receiving at the time, it took 1 hour 50 minutes to receive our food. What was worse was that at least 4 tables in our line of sight sat, ordered, and received their food while we waited. We were told it was because they were too busy, but the food the other tables ordered was the same pizza we had ordered. Our American friends had gotten there earlier than us and also had a long wait. Add to that the uncomfortably hot temperature and the metal strip in the middle of the floor that caused at least 3 people to trip and fall during our time there, I would recommend avoiding this restaurant. At least the food was good, when we got it, although I don't think any of us enjoyed it given our experience before it arrived. read more
